  1. i installed the new disco and fit it, now the issue is every try at the bench, i pull the trigger and the trigger drop about 1/16"every time and it is in double action i can continue to pull the trigger just like a regular double action. any ideas before i give up and make it a sa gun chet ps i am going to try and make a video on this, if i remove the disco all is fine in SA finally got it, thanks to whitedingo. was in the wing flat on the disco. had to remove a few thousands. chet
  2. was at the range today, all is fine in s/a. the trigger felt smoother and positive, so tomorrow i will fit the CGW short disco and hope the trigger hanging up issue don't come back. chet
  3. for a test, i took out the disco and going to see if the hanging hammer still hangs chet
  4. i will take the gun apart and check it over, took it out today, this issue happened 2 times out of 100 shots, now that i am concentrating on whats happening, when the trigger fails, seems as if when pulling the trigger the hammer falls forward and seems as if it is double action mode, i relax the trigger and the hammer goes forward i then let the trigger off and the hammer then clicks into the mode as if when i manually let the hammer down, it goes to about 1/8" away from the firing pin, if i pull the hammer back i can shoot the shot. chet
  5. need some assistance, i have a new shadow 2, shot it for approx 800 rounds, no problems, i took it apart to clean up and polish some parts, i took .008 off the hooks, gun shoots a little erratic, i may shoot 10-15 rounds and then i get a hammer hang up, hammer falls forward about 1/4" or so, when i took the hooks down i kept the same angle of the flat on top of the hooks, so now that i removed .008 the flat is a bit longer, i did not do anything else, i am thinking i have to get back in there and shorten the flat, is it possible the sear is hanging up there, this only happens when i pull the trigger real slow aiming on paper targets, shooting fast is no problem. chet ps the sear is not catching anything, i thought it was, it is something else, if i pull real slow, not all the time but the hammer drops 1/4" the most, something else is causing the hangup, any ideas and i want to add that i did oil the internals kind of heavy, not sure that will kind of cause anything, update, notice when i pull the slide back ant pull the trigger it seems crisp on the drop, if i hold the trigger after i pull the trigger cock it, and let the trigger out till i hear the reset and pull the trigger the hammer does not drop as crisp.
  6. i have seen youtube videos where shooter just snap off one holster to another holster on the same DOH hanger. where would i find them, i searched and no luck chet

  11. getting my ideas together for what i plan to order, the belt is the CR Speed, ghost 360 mag pouches, the holster is sort of iffy as of now, was thinking of the Double alpha PRD pro 11, i do like the adjustability it offers, but am reading the ball joint is a headache, is this a wise holster choice, i was looking at the compac international also, but it seems its too close to the belt. open for suggestions. chet

  13. Rather than continue on my old topic, will start new here, i picked up my new CZ Shadow 2 today, going to do the normal cleaning and take it to the range and run 100 rnds thru it, so i am going to be thinking what mods are done first to make the gun more enjoyable, the way it looks now, just by a few dry fires, i will be looking into possible a lighter main spring, maybe the short connector and polish some parts and prolly leave it be for awhile. any comments chet

    CZ 75B SA

i looked around for a CZ TSO in a 9mm, no luck, without going over 1500 dollars, what else comes to mind similar to the TSO, i don;t think i want a double action, i sort of like my CZ 75B SA, except for it's accuracy, not my most accurate 9mm, so i am open to suggestions on what i should be considering next, i mainly shoot at 25yds for tightest groups, might stretch it to 50 when i feel the time is right, i do my load testing off the bench with a pistol rest. someone mentioned a Sg P210, and the other was a rock Island. any truth to the attached video chet

    CZ 75B SA

HI Clang yes, i should have been more in details on what i want the gun for, i am mainly interested in accuracy and hopefully a gun that will be optics ready, like my Canik it came with both irons and a viper sight, i was now looking at the CZ Shadow 2 PN 91257, i see it's not optics ready, i see the barrel length is shorter than my Canik, is this going to mean much in accuracy for groups at 25 and 50yds, someone mentioned the CZ Bullseye model, don't want to get near the 2 grand mark, hope i can find something for around 1500 or less, one question, will the shadow 2 averagely out shoot the RO, i may be wrong but i have this thing about barrel length, i believe my cz 75b sa has a barrel length at 4.7, i want to get a bit over 5 if it matters. and one more question, i see the shadow 2 91261 is single double action, in single action with the trigger be as good or better than my cz 75 b sa, which is single action only chet

    CZ 75B SA

hi woodrow i am curious why would you choose the TSO over the RO, is it the round capacity, reason i ask is i do have a RO in 45acp that shoots just over an inch at 25yds off the rest, money is not exactly a issue at the moment got my income tax check, does the CZ have less muzzle flip, is the trigger better, i don't see a bushing like a 45 on the front of the tso, can it be replaced if needed, the majority of my shooting will be paper at 10-25 and 50yds, i want to stay with a hammer fired 9mm, hoping to get one to shoot as good or better than my Canik TP9SFX. CZ 75B SA

i shot a CZ TSO in ya 9mm the other day, guy at range offered me to try it and i let him shoot my Canik TP9SFX with the vortex sight, i do like the cz75 based guns as well as the 1911 style, although the Canik surprised me shooting against the TSO, at 10yds they were equal at 25 the Canik shot tighter due to the sight the TSO has irons. so it was not a fair deal, i imagine if the TSO had a sight, it would be a better comparison. chet
  19. hi Phil got scared on that load after thinking, 5grs was up at max, i pulled them before and loaded 25 at 3.8 and 25 at 4.2, i will sleep better tonight. thanks chet
  20. i am gonna pull 40 of them, and try 10 thanks chet
  21. i read on youtube where someone was shooting a semi 9mm pistol, he loaded 5.0 grs of w231 with a 124gr coated round nose, in order to make this load chamber in my wife's walthers PPQ i had to load them at 1.050 and i see this may be on the hot side especially at this length. i only loaded 50, should i pull them and drop the chg to 4.0grs chet

    CZ 75B SA

i have a 5 yr old CZ 75B SA with the internals reworked nice trigger ect in 9mm, Im itchin to buy another 9mm, been reading about he new CZ TSO in 9mm, would that gun be a big step up over the CZ 75B SA as far as 25 to 50yd accuracy., i also am giving a Range Officer a thought, any suggestions Chet
  23. took the witness to the range today after i machined the crown, results were positive groups did shrink to acceptable, not quite as tight as the cz 75B SA, but close, did try the .357 148 gr bullet, not good, 124 and 148gr .356 dia were good, the 165gr .356 dia were fair. going to leave it as it is, wife is happy now and shot some nice 2 in groups standing off hand at 10yds thanks for the help. was using sport pistol powder, might go back and see if titegroup is any better chet
