Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Man, I looked at that over and over and it appeared fine. Figured it was worth a shot after you mentioned it here, brought it in a quarter turn and the pistol now passes function check. It is rather loose, must have worked itself out just enough to cause problems. Going to give it a range check tomorrow and apply loctite if everything is good. Thanks for the tip!
  2. After further tinkering, I discovered that I can push the trigger forward just slightly and hear the same click, which then allows the trigger to drop the hammer.
  3. Attached video to original post for reference. I purchased the gun used, there's been spring work done to it prior to my ownership and it's functioned great for a couple thousand rounds. Honestly, I'm a bit embarrassed, but I struggle to identify what technical model this gun actually is - mostly because I don't follow their product line that well. Lower says Witness, top slide says Limited. It is single action only. There appears to be a non-factory spring with the plunger currently. It ls longer and lighter than the factory spring I have on hand. When I place the factory weight plunger spring into the gun, the trigger fails to come forward to full reset.
  4. Ran into a problem recently with my witness, thought it was initially recoil spring issues but I've dug in a little deeper and think I have it isolated to the sear or trigger bar. Intermittently, the slide will cycle and the trigger will not drop the hammer. Feels almost as though the safety is on. Upon manipulating the hammer, there is an audible click and the gun will function. I can replicate this 100% of the time if I hold the trigger bar down while cocking the hammer. Not sure which spring I should be chasing here... trigger plunger spring? Can anyone shed some light on what might be causing this? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. my magpul coupler has worked without issue on both gen2 and gen3 30rd pmags. Doesn't get in the way of ejection at all.

  7. First time in attendance, it was a hell of a match. Big thanks to the RO's for keeping their spirits through the undesirable weather, considering they also shot in the worst of it. I think they are the ones that can make or break a match for a competitor and I truly appreciate all the hard work they put in. Also big thanks to the Loganbills for putting it all together. The stages were challenging and well balanced, the schedule was on time and the staff ran like a finely tuned machine when it came to stage malfunctions. You can tell there was an incredible amount of effort put in. My only complaint was with some of the more challenging targets providing a completely random outcome inconsistent with a shooter's abilities - and that's not even a complaint really, more of an observation. I also feel like the prize table will continue to grow with the reputation of the match, and agree that it's up to us (shooters) to help make that happen. Already looking forward to next year!
  8. Sorry, lost track of this thread! I ended up buying an xst holster for a 2011 and took the heat gun to it. Short of almost ending up with a gooey pile of kydex, I was able to somewhat mold it and the fit is "ok". There's much to be desired as it is no where near as clean of a fit as it could be. I might be interested in a custom job, located in MN. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. The pump shotgun is going to feel pretty left out next year, but it'll get over it. Very stoked for this one & hope I can make it!
  10. Recently moved from an xdm to a tanfoglio match limited. The tanfo came with a great safariland holster, but even after months of dry fire I really miss the xst that I used with the xd. I contacted G-Code but they couldn't provide me with a specific fit for the tanfo. Curious to know if anyone here has been down this path and found an xst variant that is compatible? I'd be ok with having to do minor modifications - the hood release is my biggest desire. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. For those of you shooting the same flavor of ammo as me (and scrambling for it last minute), the Forest Lake gander mountain has a pretty good stash. The local Walmart shelves are still empty since I cleaned them out last match. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. Just got my approval to squad up, pretty excited to shoot pump for my first TSC!
