  2. Double check, triple check... For sure the seat die it's in the 3th. station and the crimp die in the 4th., Dillon identified each at the base of the die.
  3. Here are the pictures: 1st. Pic: Bullet seat without crimp 2nd. Pic: Caliper measure shows 1.1505" 3th. Pic: Bullet crimped 4th. Pic: Calliper measure shows 1.0715" <-- this after clean and remove all the gunk accumulated inside the crimp die, thanks to BritinUSA.
  4. Thank you dons, I will try this definitely. Could this cause an over preasure ?
  5. Well I'm using the one that come with the caliber conversion, the funnel is marked with the letter " F ", according to the manual ( Dillon Manual ) is the correct funnel.
  6. Hello Miranda, Once the bullet was crimped can't push it more in the case.
  7. Molson: I'm using Dillon dies, seat and crimp in different stations, seat in 3th and crimp in 4th. Sarge: I will try again, by now It is currently set according to the Dillon manual. Hi-Power Jack: I'm using a 147gr RN Lead bullet, I took a picture.
  8. Hello, Need some help here... I have had a my Dillon RL550b for a long time, I just to reload 40 S&W without any trouble. I was got into IDPA recently and bought an M&P FS in 9mm, so I was decided to start reloading 9mm too, I already had the toolhead and dies so start to set them according to the manual. I've checked my seated bullet to be correct but after crimping, the bullet is being seated deeper. By deeper I mean from 1.150 to as low as 1.010 I've cleaned the crimp die with brake cleaner, removed the shell plate & the shell plate platform, cleaned & reinstalled. Helped some with some youtube videos but still getting the crimp die seating the bullet deeper. I made sure that my caliper was zeroed before each measurement even tried with an analog one to be sure. I'm stumped. Can't think of what else to try. Any help would be appreciated. This was never happened to me with my 40 S&W loads but I'm a newbie reloading 9mm.
  9. I took a Chrony for 90 bucks at Ebay, cheap and works like charm. Pretty good deal for me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Sad but true, I own a 550 with all the extras, I love the manual index, but can say that the only reason I've think to change my 550 for a 650 it's for the priming system.
  12. You are right! Brazil is one of the countries that allow shooting sports. They have weird laws about it, for example In Brazil you can't reload your own amunition, the import of reloader machines are forbiden for civilians unnless you have special autorization from the goverment If you are lucky to get the autorization then you will have to buy to their army the components to reload and of course are really expensive, the gun powder is so scarce that they pay $90 USD for ONE POUND OF POWDER and they can choose simply take it or leave it, can you imagine how expensive result to buy a race gun there ? well a Tanfoglio Limited Custom HC in .40 S&W tag price is $2,500 USD. Even with all does limitations Brazil have a very good shooting level, brands like Tanfoglio and CZ are the owners of the market there, so little market share for STI/SVI but with the higly prices is understandable, the have their own brand for IPSC equipent the famous " GUGA RIBAS " here in US Ernie Hill distribute their products, the Ribas family have a very good reputation as shooters. If you have time go to youtube and search for IPSC Brazil you would see their events.
  13. Thank you all for the info, definitely I try Corrosion X and Eezox!
  14. Hello guys, Sorry for the dumb question but can't find any thing about it. Like others I have a severe problem with rust in my RL 550B, the black metal parts and the main shaft get rust very easy ( from weekend to weekend) I use it often every friday to reload 500 rounds, 250 in 9mm for my wife and 250 in .40 for me, some times I reload a little bunch of other calibers but not less than 500 per week. I was thinkin to use some CLP for the black metal parts to prevent rust, something like froglube for example. Did someone try this before ? The reloader is well lubed, at least like the manual said, and cover with the Dillon cover. Any advice with sense will help.
  15. Thanks , I did, I have to declare and bring them into pieces in a sealed container and non functional while traveling in the suitcase.
  16. Hello guys, My brother lives in Brazil, since I will take some vacations to visit him he ask me to bring with me some accesories for his Tanfo Limited HC. He told me that he need 6 k40s Mags with henning base pads and gramms guts but he was very clear that he needs the IPSC base pads and not the USPSA ones. In the hennign website I found the IPSC basepade with PN: H500T, Henning said that using this basepads with Gramms guts it's posible to increase the magazine capacity to 18 rounds + 1 and still fit the IPSC standar box. The cuestion is with the Gramms kit, I use this kit with the Hennig base pad for USPSA to increase to 20 + 1, the spring has 11 coils, do we have to cut some coils to use it on Henning IPSC base pads or we can use it as is and still have 18 rounds magazines ? Please enlighten me with your wisdom !
