  2. Thank you Haiedras, in fact I ordered the Titan hammer and the medium weight Xtreme FP spring in order to keep factory parts because IPSC restrictions and a PD 14# FP for test purposes. I will let you know the results! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and for your advice. I will update the topic once I have received the pieces from PD and test the result on my gun.
  4. @johnbu Thanks for the info! Sorry for the question, how can I measure the deep of a seated primer ? I have not do this before since this is the first time with this issue.
  5. Well I was looking the hammer way since I read somewhere an article from Graufel about it, basically said that to solve the light primer strike problem it's not necessary to change things like firing ping or springs, he stated that the Titan hammer works like charm with the Xtreme light firing ping spring, but here I'm looking for some wisdom from tanfoglio experts! Does your ammo pass the plunk & spin tests perfectly? Yes It's! What kind of primers are you feeding it, and how deeply are they buried? Well Memphis, the problem was with this factory ammo: - CCI BLAZER BRASS AMMO 9MM LUGER 124GR FMJ-RN - Magtech 9MM 115GR FMJ AMMO As well with my loads with Magtech and CCI primers. It doesn't happen with Federal, Aguila, winchester and remington primers. I'm using a XL650 so can't (or don't know how to) set an standard deep to seat the primers. My gun: Tanfoglio Stock 2 Xtreme completely stock, nothing change inside.
  6. Just in SA, the first shot in DA works well.
  7. Hello guys! I'm having light primer strikes in my stock 2(small frame), I want to install the Titan hammer but with the small frame / large frame issues I wonder if is the same for both frames. Help please! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Well the problem was solved! As Dillon guys said, the primer seater was backed out a bit and after snug it up with a wrench everything went right. Thank you all for you help!
  9. Great, I will check this too. Thanks a lot! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks for the advice, I will follow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I will disassemble the primer system and check step by step to be sure, I will update at evening when I get home. Thank you all !
  12. Yes it is, in fact I was reloaded a first batch of 500 rounds without problem.
  13. The primer magazine on my XL650 doesn't have the same blue plastic tip at the bottom like my 550, this machine came with copper tips.
  14. On the first week using the XL650 I reloaded a first batch of 500 rounds, I'm using Magtech small pistol primers and no problem at all but on the second week with the machine I tried to reload a second batch and then the problems started. I thought it was the primers so I replaced them for CCI for testing purposes but nothing changed.
  15. Thanks Sarge, these are the things I already check: 1) Correct primer magazine tube size inserted all the way down and locked in place 2) The bench it's rock solid and and well anchored to the concrete floor 3) The machine it's rock solid tached to the strong mount Any other idea ?
  16. Help guys! After 15 years of using a RL550 I decide to go with a XL650, everything was working good until yesterday when I noticed that some rounds had the primer seated upside down or seated sideways like the photo. I'm completely new to this machine, don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP!

  18. I went for the scale yesteday, It's really great! My old scale didn't had a dust cover and the display was kind of small, the display in this Dillon new model it's bigger. Very satisfied.
  19. Thanks! I will get the new model since have the same price than the website and can get it locally.
  20. Did you buy it online or by phone ? I did not found the old model on their site.
  21. Hi guys, My old RCBS digital scale has been broken so it's time to upgrade and I was thinking to buy a Dillon Dterminator scale so I went to the store at my local range and they showed me two models The Dillon D Terminator Old Model for $190 The Dillon D Terminator New Model for $140 What's the difference? are both of the same quality? any experience or consideration? Thanks a lot for your help!
  22. Hello guys, Does anyone have experience with this gun powder " Optima A" ? The label says it is made in Spain by MAXAM , but have no reference to reload. A good friend of mine share with me one pound of this but can't find any reference to use it. This is an image of the powder bottle, the label is in spanish and says " Smokeless powder".
  23. Hello guys! I stopped at range on my way back home and give them back all the bullets I bought, they gave me some samples of the other brands they manage, after tested at home I decide that I will keep this 9mm 147gr lead FP from Missouri Bullet Company, these bullets doesn’t have the shoulder like the other ones, so after set my dies again for this type of bullet (seat and crimp) every thing works like charm. This is the technical info of the bullet: .356 Diameter 9mm Parabellum 147 Grain 9MM FP Brinell 15 For Subsonic Work This are the bullets (pic from the web) Thank you GrumpyOne, I follow exactly the same process to set the crimp die, it was the Dillon process too. Thank you all for the time and patience to help me to solve this issue
