  1. Also please, please, please PM Arnie with your RSVP! I will be without email for a week or so starting this Wed. He will inform me of the numbers so we do not run out of food and drink at the party!
  2. Kimberkid, Skywalker was graciously offered to make up name tags for forum members. All you have to do is PM him. We do really want to use the official name tags so people will know who you are!
  3. BDH, I have got things under control. Everybody will need their name tag to gain access to the party. We need to start getting some numbers. Please send Arnie an email if you plan to attend!
  4. BDH, I can get this organized for you if you want. I realize that you are SWAMPED with your RM work. Does the adjacent PASA Manor location work for everyone? People will be close to S & W Hall for viewing scores. I believe name tags are needed for entry, correct. PM me with info.
  5. BDH, If we want to stay close to S & W Hall, I can rope us off an area over by PASA Manor. That way you can mingle with everybody for a while at the hall and then mingle with BEers for a while at the Manor. There is also a small bar in Barry on the highway at the Ice House Inn. We could meet there after shooting and then go back to the range. That takes care of points 2 and 3. Skywalker, Please help Arnie & I print badges, as we seem to need our hands held on such matters. BTW, he ask me for a container to make Lemoncello in!
  6. BDH, Arnie & I will have at least two pop-ups at our stage. Maybe if we do a casual thing we could have it there, including beer and champagne after the last shot of the day!
  7. Happy Birthday Jim from a soon to be fellow Missourian! Hope you have a great day!
  8. Arnie & I spoke to George at the Area 3 match. He is having the same problem in Area 8 as Arnie is having here in Area 3. As of this year's Area 3 match, no one has come forward from either area to hold the matches for next year. This has been an ongoing problem in Area 3 and is now a problem in Area 8. This poll will not help if the ranges do not step up to the plate to host their Area's match.
  9. Arnie & I will try to remember to take ours to Nationals next month. If anyone wants to see it, let us know!
  10. Hi all, I have seen the new rule book! It is on my dinning room table. It arrived in the mail over the weekend. I know what color it is, but I do not think my AD would want me to tell all. I believe all the AD's would have been mailed new rule books, so start asking them!
  11. Arnie & I will be driving up from the cities on Saturday. We are looking forward to seeing some of our shooting friends!
  12. BDH, I do not understand this about one more thing to carry to the range. Along with adult beverages, Arnie & I have two small bags to be taken to the range at any match we are working. The first bag only goes once as it is full of odds and ends for decorating the stage. The second bag, which we even took to Italy, is full of all kinds of things needed for ROing a match. It includes: radios, clipboards, dry erase board, staples, duct tape, sunscreen, lip balm, popper wrenchs, mag length tool, ears, snacks, pens, neck bands for cooling off, kleenex, overlays, business cards, rod & hammer for squibs, pastors and whatever else might be need. Even though it sounds like alot it fits into a very small bag. As far as a shooting order, I love it when squads show up with an order. It makes my job that much easier. I also would never reshuffle a set order. I would suggest the next time an RO did that to a squad that they would ask for the RM. I sure that will take care of that. I guess those of you wanting the shooting order shouted out after each shooter will not enjoy my stage as I will be using my board. I can only say sorry in advance. I believe I have the right to RO my stage as I see fit. If it is different from the norm, so be it, who really wants to be the same as everybody else. Aikidale, It seems we both have learned from each other. I will be bringing a pop-up!
  13. BDH has flirted with minor before. It got him tackled at the Ritz! The only difference is I did not bite him!!!

Great job BDH, Nurse Minor can think of some other ways to take years off your liver!
  15. Sorry I missed your birthday Ivan. My only excuse was I am moving and had to go to Area 3. I hope you had a wonderful day!!!
  16. BDH, I love to call the RM, it is why they get paid the big bucks!
  17. Today is my last day volunteering at the hospital here in St. Paul. I have been in the gift shop as a cashier for two years. Since last fall I have been going in at least two days a week. The shop contributes all of the profit it makes and puts it toward patients without health insurance. I have met a number of wonderful people there and are going to miss them, but I am very ready for our move to MO. Unfortunately volunteering seems to be a past time for the older generation. If you have the time make it part of your life. Without volunteer match officials there could be no shooting matches.
  18. lynn, Use the old book. I am sure that is it but will ask my RMI!
  19. BDH, Sorry big boy, you are a CRO, no RO crawl off for you! Paul can go though.
  20. I actually seen Kim, aka Pour Lee of the Lee Family, a couple of months ago. I personally gave her the date of Pistol Nationals. She will be ready as usually. Barrettone & Cameron, Your camping fee just went up!!!
  21. EricW, What an excellent idea! Especially since our organization seems unwilling to make it happen. I hope someone takes the time to do it. Good luck.
  22. Hoser & Barrettone, With talk like this I may have to organize a RO crawl off from both your stages straight to the Ritz & leave the two of you on your own!!! Kimel, I have worked at a Nationals every year since 1987 and I have yet to see a relief staff crew come to my aid when I needed a potty break. As I think of it though, my stages have always run well & smooth so I always had a few minutes to do whatever is necessary. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment since I keep coming back.
  23. Trigger T, I will tape it. I have an AD in the house and I like to stay on his good side!
  24. 300lbGorilla, Some say watching cycling is like watching grass grow, but the end of each stage have been very exciting to watch. Can you imange how demoralizing it must have been yesterday when Lance passed Ivan B. Hell, I was cheering in the living room. I called Arnie at work and let him listen to it over the phone!
  25. It is too bad that the show is airing so late. It will be very old news now. The Tour de France is much more interesting and current!
