  1. As of today Jan. 18th, there is no contract in place at PASA Park for the 2007 Single Stack Nationals.
  2. Finger nail polish also works very well, has its own brush and can be carrried easily in a range bag.
  3. Gas here at the Lake of the Ozarks in MO went from $2.49 on Monday to $3.09 yesterday. Most businesses are expecting a lot less people to be here for the holiday weekend. It will be interesting to see how many boats will be out on the lake.
  4. Hi all, Again this year, I raffled off a gun at the USPSA Nationals to raise money for the National Range Officers Support Fund Program to help offset the travel expenses for U.S. Range Officers working at large matches in other Regions of IPSC. Dave Skinner and STI donated this years raffle gun. The gun was an STI Viper, .45acp, in chrome and stainless steel with Heinie sights. Only 100 raffle tickets were sold at $20 per ticket. The winning raffle ticket was drawn at the STI booth at the Nationals. The lucky winner was Paula Jacquard, who was having lunch in Smith & Wesson Hall when she was informed, much to her surprise, she was the lucky winner of the STI Viper. Arnie and I also ran a function fire/warm up range near the PASA Park ranges being used for the 2005 USPSA Nationals. The charge to use the function fire range was $5 and the proceeds were also donated to the Range Officer Support Fund. These two activities raised $3050 for the Support Fund. There are four U.S. Range Officers officiating at the 2005 World Shoot in Ecuador who will benefit from these funds. They are Roger Madiou, Angelo Rodriguez, Chris Thomas and Tom Flett. The Range Officer Support Fund Program is happy to be able to support these U.S. IROA’s by offsetting their travel costs to wave the American flag in Ecuador. Thank you to STI, Dave Skinner and all the shooters who purchased raffle tickets and/or used the function fire range.
  5. Guy is also correct in that US 36 is mainy 4 lane all the way to Hannibal.
  6. Arnie and I are leaving for PASA Park tomorrow morning, Since you usually always find us together, you can purchase a ticket from either one of us. I will also have tickets available during the lunch break at Smith and Wesson Hall. If all else fails try looking on the porch at PASA Manor before you leave the range. A cold drink might also be found along with a raffle ticket.
  7. The NROI Support Fund Program will be raffling an STI Viper, caliber .45 ACP, stainless steel/hard chrome, double-stack with Heinie Slant Pro sights during the USPSA Nationals next week. Only 100 tickets, at $20.00 apiece, will be sold. Once all the tickets have been sold, the winning ticket will be drawn. You need not be present to win the gun. This gun has been graciously donated to the NROI Support Fund Program by Dave Skinner. Please thank Dave for his donation during the match. Also, the NROI Support Fund Program will be hosting a Warm-up/Sight-in/Function Fire Range for a nominal fee during the entire week of Nationals starting Saturday morning July, 16th. Look for signs to the Warm-up/Sight-in/ Function Fire range as it will be located off the property that USPSA has rented. As such, USPSA match penalties will not apply. Be prepared to sign a PASA waiver in order to use the range. The range will be open at 10:00am on Saturday and at 7:00am the rest of the week. This will be the only location on PASA property that shooting will be allowed if you are not a PASA member. I look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday, please buy your raffle tickets early so you do not get shut out of the raffle. Denise Minor L600 NROI Support Fund Program Founder/Secretary
  8. Area 3 does indeed have a trailer. It is stocked with more common things like clipboards, range buckets, water coolers, shade shelters, radios, left over target from last year, etc. etc. The long term goal was to include steel and walls. Most cubs in Area 3 just did not have anything so Arnie made a start purchasing the trailer and basic suppies. We also purchased new timers after last year's match so the rage officers did not have to use their own. I hope Manny continues with making some profit off the Area match and continues to stock the trailer and that clubs will step up to the plate and hold larger matches. I also believe USPSA should have a trailer. As of now they rent space at Smith & Wesson hall at PASA Park and things like timers and radios are shipped to other matches.
  9. Also you can check with local clubs including the gun club that is hosting the event. Cub scouts, cheer leaders, ect.
  10. Chet, Start in the yellow pages under catering. If you know some body that works in the food industry, call them for advice. Make sure to let them know if you have a clubhouse, kitchen, or nothing. I helped with food at a wedding reception that was held in a state park, no kitchen, just coolers. Good luck!
  11. It was an illegal COF with a hugh shooter trap. I am surprised that once that was pointed out it wasn't fixed.
  12. Of course there has been a female RMI, her name is Marilyn Stanford! She taught along side of Dave and I took my RO class in 1987 from them.
  13. Ruby is alot of fun. Please tell her 'Hello" from me. I hope you all have a great match!
  14. Luca, Have a great day and enjoy!
  15. Steve, There is no camping off of the rented property at PASA Park. You should contact John Amidon, as he is the MD for this year's match. He may let you camp on the rented property. PASA Park and the Metcalf family have not allowed camping for quite some time. There is a KOA in Hannibal and Quincy, also Pine Lakes in Pittsfield. Hope this helps.
  16. Very interesting! good job Brian.
  17. I will also be there. I have only missed one SHOT Show since 1980.
  18. Sam, You can see some of those deer hanging in the stats room! I will give you a tour at Nationals. If you are up for it we can even go sit in one of the deer stands above the range one evening.
  19. Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Arnie and I had a great day here at our new home. We visited a very beautiful cave and had dinner at a restaurant called the Blue Heron. The food was some of the best I have eaten anywhere. Luca, Arnie and I started dinner with a very nice Italian Prosecco. On the other hand I am not quite sure what Arnie will be doing. He tells me he still feels like he is on vacation. I do not think it has sunk in yet that he does not have to go back to work.
  20. According to the PASA contract, the format and dates of Nationals are to be decided no later than Nov. 1st. I expect we will be hearing the answer before the end of the day.
  21. Hi all, There is rain forcasted for this weekend here in Linn Creek, which is just south of Osage Beach with cool temps. Sunday morning the low is forcated to be in the 30sF, so bring your warm rain jacket. The outlet mall would be a good place for the wife & daughter, also there is some minature golf or regular golf available.
