Does the pistol swager come with the conversion kit ? I got the press but haven't attempted setup yet. Still in the package dated 2001..
-
You need 9mm dies ( PN 14406 ) , a 9mm 1050 conversion ( PN 20482 ) and the small pistol casefeeder plate ( PN 21073 )
That's it.
Thank you that is what I thought but wasnt sure. how about the powder die?
The caliber-specific Powder Funnel comes in the Caliber Conversion Kit. The non-caliber specific Powder Die you can use from the existing setup.
Awesome, that clears up my confusion. Thank you almighty one.

My Hornady small rifle plate would not work on my Dillon casefeeder with out some trimming.
Thanks, I'll just plan on getting a dillon small pistol plate.
-
Everything should be new in the package as it comes from dillon. So there is another powder bar for the measure that should come with it, Thanks. I have dies. Is the case feeder plate the same on the 550,650,and 1050? Ive heard of people using hornadys case feeder plates on dillons case feeder for the 650. Anyone have any experience with interchangeability with hornady case feeder plates and the 1050 casefeeder?

Will the powder die that comes with the press set up for .223 work?
-
Ive been to that page numerous times.

Hello all, I will have a 1050 set up in 223. dies and all. I dont shoot 223 I only shoot 9mm. I am buying the press because I am getting a decent deal on it. What will I have to list or what is the easiest way to get this set up in 9mm?
I know the information is out there but Im getting confused on what I will have and what I will need to do this. I know I'll need a new case feeder plate, Probably a new powder die.. What else? Also are the casefeeder plates the same for the 550, 650, and 1050 casefeeders?

Wow I'm really surprised. CBC and Tula go in my misc bucket since I sort everything. They load and shoot and reload fine in 9MAJOR. S&B as well but it needs swept with a magnet first and the reamed.
90% of my case gauge failures were from CBC and Tula.
Culling those two headstamps alone boosted my efficiency exponentially.
Regarding S&B, it seems to be very high quality brass provided you ream or swage.
Exactly this. Jacketed bullets in particular with Tula would bulge so bad they have locked up more than one gun where I couldn't rack the slide to eject the round. I had to use the end of a table to push the slide against to eject the round. I started case gauging after that and tula almost 90% of the time wouldn't gauge so I started culling them out. IMC has stepped cases and I had them split in half at the step more than once.

I'll reiterate IMT and TULAMMO. If I see them I scrap them. And anything with a crimped primer pocket but I'll stop throwing those away when a 1050 hits the bench.

This has some links for silicon carbide

Harbor Freight. I had to search for it at the store, it comes in a small red box that says thumlers tumbler. its inside what they call a tumbler pack.
it is the one labeled coarse. The small bag has more than enough to do more than one grip.
original Jb weld is what I used.

How much texture are you looking for? 36 grit is extremely aggressive.
I used the Silicon carbide that comes in a pack from harbor freight i think it might be 36 grit. very aggressive and I like it a lot. I think I will attempt to duplicate what I have on my open and limited gun on a set of Perman grips to match once I get a single stack.

Are there metal grips available or aluminum grips that have cuts similar to Infinity's aggressive micropockets? Does Infinity make a grip panel to mimick their steel double stack grips?

I was on their site the other day and seemed to be back up and running. They only sell in bulk now though.

My Kkm barrel in my sti won't go past 1.135
My sti Mags with spacers will run a little longer than that though just the barrel that disagrees.

I use mine for a chorno. always put a fresh battery in and no problems yet. The chrono chews up the battery.

Noooo stop buying federals and let the revolver guys get them!!
Im down to 1000 federal primers and my revolver will not ignite anything but federals deep seated. Same boat here searching for federals locally with no luck.
People still use Revolvers!? You know there is such divisions that allow you to use doublestack magazines and you can fill them up! Some even hold 30rds!! lol Sorry I couldnt pass the opportunity up! Best of luck in your search for hens teeth like me!!
30 rounds??!!!
Now thats ridiculous .. And let me guess when you pull the trigger it automatically loads the next round?.... I aint buying it.
lol yea the revolver bug has a hold of me right now. I do have a limited setup and open but revo has the most of my interest. My ego likes placing high in the standings and its a lot easier to take 3rd with only 3 competitiors.

I have a thumb shield on my limited gun so it blocks the rear serrations. I wish it had front serrations because of it. I'm going to add some grip tape as a short cheap fix.

If you go to their website there is a step by step how to. But it is really simple. just hit the Set/menu button until you see one of the last menu screens that reads something like delete all strings and then press yes button.

Incase anyone searches for pact IV timer issues, Cleared the memory and it works fine now.
-
called pact probably just need to clear the memory. Ill update incase someone else has had this problem.
-
Having an issue with my pact IV timer. There is a long delay after hitting the go/start button even with the delay turned off. It displays no count down like it does when the delay is on but still has a rather long delay. Almost 3 seconds before the beep. Has this happened to anyone else and theres an easy fix?
Thanks.

What about the die above the swaging station? Doesn't that expand the case and rifle and pistol different ?
