  1. Ehh, exploring possible better solutions is always something fun for me to do anyway. It was worth the try for me =P .
  2. So I got a can of that CDC Dry Moly Lub 3084. I cannot recommend it. It sprays on like a spray paint. Tested it on an old chair first. Then I tried to apply a thin layer on the inside of the die with a q-tip and let it sit for 24 hours. Tried a case and the lube sheered right off the die. So, no good for reloading dies but I have seen where people use this stuff to revive some AR15 metal magazines they had. I use my own lanolin lube mix too works well. Another mix that I use for resizing 223 cases before going through loading process is mineral oil mixed with alcohol. Super cheap to make. very slick and makes my processes very quick. I do clean my cases one more time before loading them to get all the oil off. Always down to hear some more suggestions to try something new.
  3. With all my CZ 75's I've had and my old tanfo Open gun I would have to travel to the next county over to find my brass.
  4. Can you send me some materials to look. The only thing I can find is the safety data sheet that shows n-Hexane as the main ingredient. I'm no chemist so I really don't know what that means. See attached. I am interested to see if it is a rebranded product is the primary branding any less expensive? 1410992897-MSDS-One-Shot---Case-Lube-Pump-or-Refill.pdf
  5. He did, it is what prompted me to shop around for others options too. I purchased some Blaster teflon Dry-Lube at an auto parts store. It didn't really help much. I purchased the CRC Dry Moly Lube 3084. This one I'm really curious about. I'm going to spray it on something to see how it cakes on(if it does) and dries first before attempting the die and then try it on my sizing die. I have seen where some people have refinished their USGI mags with this stuff. So this confuses me a little about how it works and it's applications. The description on the bottle indicates that it would be good for a resizing die. I emailed CRC to see if they have any other solutions that would help with us reloaders. Perhaps we should reach out to Lucas Oils to see if they are going to work on resizing lubes to add to their gun product lines. =P I will report my findings. Let me know if you all come up with something too!
  6. Hey everyone, just wanted to see what your thoughts or experience is with this. I'm always looking for the best and least expensive ways to improve processes. As we all are right? I mean, that's why we reload. Anyway... lubrication for dies. I'm at a point where my 9mm Lee die needs lubrication. I have been using my own mix of Lanolin/ Isopropyl alcohol mix and wanted to venture in trying different lubrications. I have tried aerosol graphite lube and Remington teflon dri-lube. I'm exploring the great hardware store that is Amazon and found a product called CRC 3084 Dry Moly Lube. It looks interesting, I haven't tried a moly lube before. Has anyone tried this stuff before? Thanks in advance!
  7. This is great information! I have an HBI trigger and OP striker with stock striker spring currently. I had some light strikes with the red and the blue spring on CCI primers. i'm now with my winchesters and federals so i'm confident to try the red, blue, and 2 or 3 lb glock striker spring again. i havent tried the Apex kit yet. I think I will go ahead and get it. I have the OP trigger in my back up p10f but the over travel stop point is just ever so slightly further back than the HBI shoe. i like the profile of the OP than the HBI but that slight difference is something i notice just enough to stick with the HBI. Large hands. Thanks for this post!
  8. I haven't used a 3 Max yet. I have an RTS2 on my back up CO gun. It holds up really well and I like it a lot. I have a 6MOA Delta Point Pro on my main CO gun and took off the metal shroud. It brings the overall size of it pretty close to an RTS2. You get a lifetime warranty with the DPP. Something to think about. You wouldn't go wrong with the RTS2. great size, great glass, and holds up really well. Just my experience with it.
  9. I have experience with only the HBI and the Overwatch Precision trigger+striker. Both are very good. I wear size large nitrile gloves if this helps give a frame of reference with what I'm talking about. I had the HBI on my P10f for a couple months now and loved it right away. The shoe is far superior than the stock trigger. It makes for a smooth feel and break point. After the trigger breaks, there is little to no overtravel. The flat face is very nice. I have the Overwatch Precision on my other p10f. It is good but the trigger wall ever so slightly further back than the HBI and it made a difference when it comes to my draw times of calling Alphas in dry fire. Perhaps simply having more time on the HBI I grown accustomed to it. Between the two, I prefer the HBI. The comfort and the follow through with my trigger pull is very good. The Overwatch Precision is good too and looks badass. I feel like I had to curl my finger to engage it well. Could be my imagination. I'm sorry I can't say anything about the Killer Innovations. Looks cool. Good Luck!
  10. For the parts that are prone to wear and tear, no difference. Slide stops are the same, same trigger return spring, same firing pin spring. If you can find basic CZ 75 stuff, It all should be the same. I hope this helps. If you are seeing a specific part, we'll see if we can find you a part or let you know what parts to look at. Good Luck!
  11. i installed the overwatch precision trigger shoe and striker. I was hoping to get much lighter trigger pull. I have to admit, open division spoiled me. I got the trigger down to a roughly 4.25lb trigger pull and that is with the HBI 15% reduced weight weight striker spring. I could go down to a 3lb glock striker spring again but i wanted harder hits because i'm trying to burn through my cci primers. How the heck are some guys getting within a quarter pound of 3 lbs? I have the HBI trigger in my other p10f and i'm able to get it down to 4 lb with HBI red striker spring too. I'll admit I can work with it but I'm a gamer and I wanna game. something i'm missing when it comes to installing these parts so I can get a lighter pull? Thanks!
  12. I didn't know that was a thing. I change brightness too much. Plus, one of my scopes drains battery quickly if I accidentally leave it on. I already went through 2 or 3 batteries on my RTS2.
  13. Lol. I do need to make a sign for myself... Make an action tree.. "did you turn off your optic? Yes - you may proceed to store your firearm. No - TURN IT OFF! GEEZ!" Next level down. "Did you ACTUALLY turn off your optic? Yes - Good Boy. No - WHAT DID I JUST SAY TO DO!?!!"
  14. So I'm looking to get rechargeable 2032 batteries for my optics. I'm pretty bad about leaving on the light in my scopes and pistol optics. Has anyone tried rechargeable ones? What is your experience with them? Also, I notice that most of the rechargeable ones are 3.6-3.7 volt vs some of the regular ones that are 3 volt. Do you think that would make a difference? I'm not well educated in small electronics and voltage. Thanks in advance!
  15. I have a p10f and i love my RTS2 on it. a used one but it works great. reliable. I don't know about carry reliability. I just got the DeltaPoint Pro and waiting on the optic to be delivered tomorrow. It seems pretty good. I took off the metal shroud to save visual bulk when shooting matches. I don't know good the reliability is on it for carrying. i'm hearing good things about the DPP after they upgraded the board they install in them. If i can provide any more feedback on any of it. Let me know.
  16. Okay. I got the 6 MOA DPP. It has the new blue board in it. I will see how well it works. I went ahead and took off the metal shroud to remove excess bulk in my field of view. I called Leupold and they said that it was totally cool to remove it and it would not void the warranty. I stated this in case there are other people that may be wondering about it. Thanks for your input Boomstick303!
  17. So I'm debating on getting a Delta Point Pro. I have not shot with one yet. I have been running a RTS2 on my carry optics gun and I had one on my previous Open gun. I was looking at getting a new RTS2 on my second carry optics gun but I noticed that they are very close in price to the DPP. I'm looking at getting the 6moa-dot DDP and was wondering if anyone here had experience with both optics. I like my RTS2 because it is very reliable for me and a name I can trust. But, I'm open to trying other optics. I was looking at the FTP Alpha 3, which is basically an RTS2 but with slightly taller and more squared off RTS2. But I haven't seen it around so much to where I am jumping towards it yet. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
  18. Thank you for this! makes me confident to purchase an S2-OR now.
  19. I'm following this one. I wonder if the P10 plates work for S2-Optic Ready
  20. So another update, 2lb striker spring gets faulty half way through a match on winchester primers. Looks like up to 3 lb striker spring. Trigger pulls at a consistent 4 lbs . I wish I could get it lighter. I polished a couple points, it took away some grittiness. It breaks like glass now, but I want a lighter trigger. It looks like I'm with this 4lb for now just for reliability. the 2lb works good with federal primers. I hope this helps whoever reads this. Thanks!
  21. Hey folks I'm looking to develop some loads for some BMB. There's not a lot of information out there and not really any groups out there yet. Anyways, I'm looking into loading 9 major with it for my Tanfo Open gun. I've been running 124 gr with silhouette and that dried up and i was using 115gr fmj with AA7 but my gun doesn't like that either. It tends to like things in the 124 range. With that being stated, I'm looking into developing a new load with the BMB 124 gr HI-Tek TC . I have a bunch of 3n38 and 3n37 and I would like to dabble into that. I have a bottle of shooter's world Major Pistol but I think that is basically the same as AA7 right? Does anyone have a decent starting point on 3n38 and 3n37? I can load longer than I used to because I had the barrel worked on. I have a chrono and would be able to start lower than what you have and work my way up. Just trying to find a starting point with those powders. Thanks!
  22. just wanted to follow up. getting the zev 2lb striker spring seemed to have helped. more testing to be done. i have the 2 lb striker with 13 lb recoil spring. good ignition. no light strikes. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  23. the 11 lb is just not long enough it seems. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  24. okay. i ordered a couple striker springs from zev
  25. what kind of recoil springs are you using? i got the 3pk tuner kit from cajun that came with a 11, 13, and a 15
