  1. That's a good thing to check first. Remember without it, the barrel bushing will come out. Take a gander at it to see if it is there. I suggest getting a 5/64 punch from cgw as well. That punch may also be found on the bsps website.
  2. Is it the stock front sight? You are saying up and down. Do you mean forward and back? If so, sounds like you are missing the front sight cross pin. Cheap and easy fix. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  3. I recently bought the Shooting Sports Innovations Alpha Dropper for my Dillon 650. 5k rounds in and I had a much higher success rate of bullets not falling over. I'm using the DAA bullet feed due as well. It also reduces the amount of stress on the brass. https://shootingsportsinnovations.com/alpha-dropper-powder-funnel/ I hopes this helps.
  4. Pretty awesome to reach out to the customer base like this. This is just my process so take it for what it is worth. I prefer a 5+ year or lifetime warranty. I will be more drawn to an optic that offers a lifetime warranty. I've had to RMA a few Delta Point pros. If it is a known to be strong optic I can go for a 5 year offering. I tend to stay away from optics with less than 2 year warranties. Us competition shooter types tend to go through them. Also it is a matter of if this optic breaks within "x" time, do I feel I got my money's worth to where I would buy the same product or from the brand again. I hope this helps with your survey. Thanks!
  5. Nothing broken. All good. I have a OR slide and I want to have a slide for USPSA production div for when I feel a little extra. Where does one find a slide? I just don't want to keep taking off the optic and then put it back on and resight it. Thanks in advance!
  6. The only thing I didn't really like was the thing it excelled at. The dot with the 8 MOA ring was too clean and clear that it was distracting. I'm used to 6 moa dots and didn't think 8 was going to be a big deal and I was noticeably slower. I tried it for about 6 months and couldn't really get the hang of it. Using the Swampfox Justice 2, 6 moa, and I'm faster with it. The optic is great and the 2 MOA dot is good for zeroing. It was just not for me.
  7. I'll check if i have a spare one this evening. I'll let you know. I'll send it to you if I have it.
  8. how did you modify your primer tubes? I was thinking about 3d printing a vibraprime receiver
  9. I think that attracts me to the auto filling ones is that I can have those get filled while I'm loading. Keeping my momentum when loading lol.
  10. I saw that DAA is coming out with their version of the dillon primer tube loader and was wondering if anyone knows of any other new ones? Been on the fence about getting the daa primer pro lately. Does anyone know of any other primer tube loading mechanisms that are out there that are worth checking out? Currently using a Frankford Arsenal vibra prime. It's nice when it has the primers it likes. Thanks in advance!
  11. Do you all still like your primer pro? Any headaches? Pretty consistent? Do you really need more than just the one tube? I've been on the fence about getting one. I saw that DAA has another one that is like the Dillon coming out this year and wondered if I should wait for that.
  12. 3n37 was a fantastic powder for me when I shot open. I say use it up! It's whatever you prefer I guess. Run some tests to see if you like it. There are some people that would love to take that off your hands if you don't like it.
  13. @kneelingatlas do you still produce comps for these barrels? Just trying to help everyone here :)
  14. Hey send me a message and I can send you my google spreadsheet that way you can get more information
  15. Unfortunately, out of the box what you are experiencing is normal for most standard shadow 2's. I think the main difference between the orange vs standard blue is the bushing, fitting, and trigger set up(not pull weight). I could be wrong about the trigger pull weight. The standard mainspring that interacts with the hammer is pretty heavy on the double action. Many shooters like myself will change the mainspring. For a long while I changed it to a 13 main spring which sets off all primers I have encountered. It brought it to a tolerable double action. I started a thread on it if you want to read more about it. Back to your concern.. short answer: it's normal. If you want to have lighter, you will need to change mainspring weight. inexpensive and very easy to do.
  16. Range Report: Good news. these seem to work really well. I shot 100+ rounds today with 0 malfunction/light strike issue. I'm shooting a Shadow 2. I typically use a 13 lb hammer/main spring because it can pop rifle primers but for the test I went ahead and used a fresh CZC 10lb hammer/main spring. I'm also using a CGW firing pin & spring. All went bang. 60 or 70 was with double action and the rest were with single action. The temperature was roughly 50 degrees starting at the range and warmed up quickly to close to 70 degrees. The indentions were shallow as one might expect. The cups on these primers seem to be pretty soft. While loading 200 I had 7 that did not seat properly while using my dillon 650. I didn't even notice the improper seating during loading on a few of them. I found them during my QC process. 3 or 4 were with crimped primer pocketed brass. Looking through some of the trays i found some primer cups not to be perfectly round. I really had to look hard to find this. So this may be a factor. Performance wise, these are great... so far. The rule of large numbers(samples) are yet to be applied. I hope this was helpful for a lot of you. Shadow 2 10lb CZC hammer spring(never used before today) CGW firing pin & firing pin spring. Good Luck! Shoot strait. Stay safe. Have fun.
  17. Can you tell us more about your M&P? Is there any other modifications that would reduce the power of its strike? Is 6lb higher or lower than factory? besides the usual suspects of seating depth or weak striker. Have you analyzed your reloading process to determine if there are any oils or chemicals effecting your primers in loading?
  18. I'm here to validate the go ahead and tumble crowd. I do that as well. I use crushed walnut with no additives for 10 minutes and able to rock and roll.
  19. Did they find this thread? I emailed them last week but never heard from them yet.
  20. Got them in today. Ordered thursday and arrived Wednesday. Not bad. They look good so far. They do look taller than other primers. I will let you all know how they load and perform once I get some rounds on them. :)
  21. Here ya go: WhiteRiver Small Pistol Primers Made in USA NEW PRODUCT SALE .06 Each - Republic Ammunition White River Energetics
  22. So it looks like we have a new primer manufacturer based in the South called White River Energetics, LLC. Not much about them online. I found them from a reloading supply online retailer. I honestly rolled the dice and bought some just to see how well they work. Anyone else here have any experience with them and would like to share your experience with these? I did send them an email asking about their product. If I get a response, I'll be glad to share the information. Looks like there is some introductory pricing right now. Roughly the same price as Ginex and Servicios that are being offered online. I figured I would start this thread so some people can follow it as well. Hopefully these will work well and we have another American Made primer source we can rely on.
  23. I personally stuck with the CZC 13 lb hammer spring. I haven't had to worry about popping primers. Paired with a cgw lightened trigger return spring, I get a good light trigger with reliable function.
  24. This is something to definitely check out. Just before going this, try adding oil between the trigger bar and the side of the frame. When I first got my S2 it would get stuck and a little oil helped. It has smoothed out and worked itself out since then and I don't have to worry about it so much. Does this issue happen with the factory trigger return spring?
