  1. Hearsay? Anyone with half a brain and the desire to know can easily watch the referenced videos with a stop watch and know that the rumors are true.
  2. Multiple washers in two locations, both circled on that picture. I think I used the longer screws that came with the ELS clips.
  3. Fill this out. It's what Stuart told me to do when I contacted him. He emailed me after the slide arrived. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&ei=iO-pU_y_LYaPyASIuYEo&url=http://czcustom.com/themes/default-1-1-1/images/content/2013/CZ%2520Custom%2520Work%2520V2b.pdf&cd=1&ved=0CBwQFjAA&usg=AFQjCNFo2cTabd6sfJOeDnlIPfyR68wPoA&sig2=Was0b6EEMGtfHWIn2bXGfg
  4. Don't bother them right now. They are working on one of my guns and I want it back as soon as possible. For ACCU work they just need the slide. There is a PDF work order for on the website. Download and print it, write whatever you would like to have done, put it in a box and send it away. They will contact you once it has been received. Turn around is something like 6 weeks minimum.
  5. This post will likely be torn apart as others here have been but I wanted to mention that I have shot at a lot of clubs with particular restrictions but most of the time those can be accumulated through tailored stage design.
  6. It means that my Swiftkey was a bit too aggressive in guessing what I was trying to say. They are the Thin Grips.
  7. You can still use teck loks, just add a TMMS as the next layer.
  8. Yes, blade tech DOS will be legal for both as long an you watch the 2" USPSA rule. My DOS on a TMMS hanger was just a bit over over 2.5. The DOS hanger also points the muzzle in towards your leg a bit more than I like too. Both problems can be fixed with a few strategically placed washers or a bit of time with a heat gun. Ben Stoeger also offers a nice alternative that I think is blade tech with an improved DOS hanger that looks to be much better. Can you elaborate on the washers? What size, how to set up, etc.? I would like to have the muzzle not point too towards the leg. Thanks See below. While you are at the hardware store you can also pick us some wingnuts to make it easier to adjust tension.
  9. Everybody needs one of those. Are these special grips or did you just tape them? If so, which grips (slim!?) are these? They are the thin aluminum grips cut down to fit the magwell and slightly rounded off from sanding. I used to have a more elaborate grip tape pattern that can be seen in my profile picture but have since just gone to covering the entire left grip. My right just has the original smaller patch of grip tape that came stock.
  10. I keep all of my gear in the same place but being able to detach it and leave it in the bag if not needed on particular stages is wonderful. Those 3 Gun belts can get pretty heavy and awkward. When I am not shooting I leave almost everything off my belt including detaching my pistol if the rules allow. ELS works alright but Blade Tech TMMS are nice too. I actually have my pistol on a TMMS but screwed right into an ELS. The ELS belt is pretty limp compared to something like a DAA but I do like being able to screw things directly onto the belt instead of having to use a TechLoc or similar. I think you can be very happy and competitive with Safariland or DAA/CR Speed/BladeTech. Whatever you do though you should consider some type of quick release for your gear.
  11. Everybody needs one of those.
  12. Maybe you have it set to accelerometer instead of Mic.
  13. Just waited to give an update on grip type jobs. I have globe two just covering my entire left-hand grip in grip tape and that has improved on my previous improvements.
  14. Do you suppose he was laughing as he typed that? It's hard to believe that his supporters have continued to stand by him to such an extent. I am confident that the BoD will hand out the appropriate or at least full extent of punishment available to them. There are several others who have been lobbing shells for PVH for whom I have lost all respect. Anything in USPSA that they might run for I will support the other guy/gal by default. I will also be steering far away from at least one particular gun-related business who's owner has shown his true colors during this fiasco.
  15. I was glad I learned quad loads with shells stacked on a table! Yeah, came in handy on Saturday. My first set went in good. I messed up the second set, got two in the gun and decided to take my chances going 6 with the 4 steel and two clays. I only wish I would have shot that fourth steel before going for the clays because that might have been a stage winning time. Guess I will have to wait the mysterious two-weeks for scores to be posted to find out.
  16. It would be pretty cool to make a timer app that incremented time and splits in the GG viewing area.
  17. No, the IDPA rulebook doesn't tell how how your shoes must be tied. If you NEED that type of micro-management, then it's probably not the sport for you. Most of us do not. The NBA reference is becoming laughable. As I stated previously (but do feel free to continue to ignore it) the pivot is the same at any level of basketball. More credibility-destroying exaggerations... Keep digging..it's fun to watch. False, there is as much or more micromanaging in IDPA. The difference is that micromanaging comes from each individual SO instead of set of clearly written and objective rules.
  18. Kurt, is your scope's power adjustment ring stiff? If so what can be done to loosen it up?Thanks Yes, they are stiff. It's discussed earlier on this thread. Some have sent them back to vortex to loosen them up.
  19. For DAA you order your normal size. They are a bit more stiff but not enough to order a new belt unless you want a second. Safariland ELS is also another option that is popular with 3 Gun, easier to set up for modular attachments with the ELS clips. It isn't as stiff as the CR speed or the DAA however. I really like using ELS or Blade Tech TMMS attachments to remove or reposition 3 gun gear. 3 gun gear can get heavy so it's great to be able to unclip and leave gear that is not needed for particular stages.

  21. Here is the rule: 5.2.5.3 Unless specified in the written stage briefing, or unless required by a Range Officer, the position of holsters and allied equipment on the belt must not be moved or changed by a competitor during a match. If a retaining strap is attached to a holster or magazine pouch, it must be applied or closed prior to issuance of the Standby command.
  22. My concern with the WRS is that USPSA rules specify that if your holster has a retention strap that it must be engaged.
  23. Rick from Center of Mass recently passed away. I think he ways a one man shop so lively there will b no more opportunity to buy CoM holsters.
