  1. Tasers are great tools. A taser is better to use on someone than a hand or baton strike. People need to get rid of the notion that the Police are there to take hits from the bad guys. If an officer is performing a lawful duty and the suspect resists or becomes assaultive that action must be stopped. I have taken many a hit, kick, headbutt and spit in the face before I could get a suspect under control. Rarely do the suspects get charged with assault or resisting arrest. Or if they do, the prosecuters use that to deal and drop that charge.
  2. I use a Glock 34 with a titanium striker, titanium plunger, tungston guide rod and skateboard tape on the grip. I have been using wolf ammo (145 pf), but they've changed the formula and I'll switch ammo soon.
  3. I'm all for another shooting sport. I don't know when they would shoot. Most of the weekends are filled up in my area with ipsc and idpa. If they hold a match I'll show up and give it a try. They started talking about optics being better. Not many people have optics on thier carry gun. If your going to allow optics, why worry about the holster being seen. Just a thought.
  4. There will be a small bubble on the case near the rim. I can get once fired .40 brass (mostley fired from glocks) from my police range and buddies and just leave it. Some people pick it up and use a case-pro on it. If you get used brass you can run into some problems. I would stick to factory ammo for self-defense. If you worried about recoil hydra-shok makes self-defense loads which are mild. If you load the 165gr @ approx. 800 fps that is a mild load (non-major for ipsc).
  5. I have used 180gr Rainier bullets in my .40. They worked ok. Sometimes the plating comes off if you get a miss feed or jam.
  6. Why make another change to the divisions. There is already a division for 1911's. L-10 is dominated by the 1911. It's only at the nationals that you see shooters using thier limited guns loaded with 10 rounds. If you want to shoot by the SS rules, shoot a SS match. The SS matches allow different amounts of rounds by caliber. If you want to shoot with you're mags and holster behind you hip, go to an IDPA match and shoot CDP. Many people that have crossed over leave thier equipment that way wether they shoot IPSC or IDPA.

    GLOCK BASEPADS

I have both the dawson and the grams pads. The dawson pads are easier to use. They come off of the mag. With the grams pads you have to leave part of the extension on the mag.
