Does USPSA allow "hot bays"? I have been to several IDPA Sanctioned matches where all competitors were loaded, but not allowed to leave the bay without ULSC. Everyone loaded, everyone downrange taping & resetting etc. No issues.

I am happy with mine so far. I have checked every 100 rounds, and the measurements have been spot on. More consistent than the Dillon baffle alone. I guess the real test is to measure with a full hopper and a 1/3 full hopper.

What strength recoil spring do you like for 124gr at 130 PF?

Thinking of buying a CZ TS for limited 10, since The people's Republik of Kalifornia only allows 10-round magazines on new guns. The good news is the TS is on the CA "safe" gun roster. What mods can I do with L10? What Dawson FO front sight shoots POA/POI at 25 yards with 180gr .40 at 170PF? Does anyone besides CZC make basepads for the 10-rounds mags? What magwells work with the 10-round mag basepads? What recoil spring works well with 170PF?

I've seen shooters look at stages before they shoot it, and say: "this should be a 7 HF stage". Looking at a stage, what is a good way to calculate hit factor?

I have the CZC Competition fixed rear sight...

Have a CZC SP-01 Shadow Custom and the rear sight is drifting to the right over time. I have cleaned the dovetail with rubbing alcohol, then used blue loctite on the dovetail and set screw. The screw is still tight and all the way in, but the sight still moves with use. How can I get it to stay put?

What drills do you recommend for improving transitions? My splits are fast, but my transitions need work. I find myself moving my sights to the next target, rather than moving my eyes to the target first. I have Ben's books, and plan on doing the drills in there but was just curious what drills have helped you improve? Thanks

I know with plated and coated bullets, you need to be careful with crimp (just enough to take the bell / flare out etc.) How about jacketed bullets? The same? Are JHP and FMJ more forgiving with crimp?

I can see how bullet type, barrel length, barrel twist rate, velocity, velocity consistency, crimp etc. can all affect accuracy. I've heard people say that powder type can affect accuracy... All else being equal (including velocity) - can powder type affect accuracy?

Anyone loading a 124gr JHP and using the Lee Bullet Seat Die: Does the standard bullet seater plug work well? Or is a custom seating plug necessary?

I decided to try out the "Perfect Powder Baffle" by Prairie Dog. Just got it today. It is designed to work with the plastic baffle in the Dillon hopper. Anyone else try this yet?

Thanks. That is what I figured, but I wasn't sure because I read that lead can stay in the bones.

Really? Everyone has a certain amount of lead in their blood, so all blood donations have lead in them. I never said "high" lead levels - I said "can it reduce lead levels" smart guy. There are other options as well, like therapeutic blood donations - which are not used for medical purposes.

Anyone know if donating blood regularly can reduce lead levels? I got my test done yesterday, but don't have the results back yet.

Thought I would start a thread for the Clubs that use Practiscore for IDPA matches, so we can share tips on how to use the software. Things I have found: If you use an IOS device as the Master, you can see individual stats on the match results at practiscore.com. With an Android Master, you cannot. Make sure to enable IDPA penalties on the Master for your first match, before you sync other devices. They are not enabled by default and you can't put them in after. What tips to you guys have?

Which do you find more accurate?

Like this, front 4 targets are 2 yards in front of the next 4, back middle target is 2 yards behind that. Barrels are obstructing view of some targets. Shooter has to lean out left & right to see them and engage in correct priority.

Are plated bullets with a thick / heavy plate more accurate than their standard counterpart at minor power factor? (Xtreme HPCB, Berry's HBRN-TP etc.)

These are my first 5 shots ever out of a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow, using Xtreme 147gr RN at 75 feet from a rest. (Note the group size, not location) I was sighting the gun in and have since moved the rear sight to the right:

Just wanted to give an update on this.. I have loaded several hundred more rounds with ZERO powder spillage.

We carefully measure everything else: OAL, powder grains, bullet diameter etc. Why wouldn't we measure crimp? .375 sounds like too much crimp to me. I use Xtreme 147 RN as well, and try to set my crimp at .378 / .379

I was doing the double-baffle thing for a while, then took the UniqueTek one out. I don't think it makes a difference unless you remove the plastic one.
