  1. I use the Shooter's Connection Carry/IDPA Belt which is super thick and can't fit my CR Speed Versa magazine pouches. Is there an adapter that will work with the CR Speed pouch for the Bladetech Tek Lok or another belt mounting system?
  2. I believe it needs shorter mags/basepad or shorter sights to fit the box.
  3. At local matches, they might not care - but to get a Shadow 2 to make weight there are a couple of things you can do: Slide milling - I think Primary Machine used to sell a Carry Optics specific cut, which included more weight reduction than their Harbinger series. Lok lightweight grips Acetyl guide rod (if you can find one)
  4. CGW will make them again with enough interest. Maybe organize a group order?
  5. So with an SAO trigger and disco, you don’t need the pre-travel set screw? Only the over-travel?
  6. On the CZ Shadow 2 SA # 91245 - how do they have SA configured? Disconnector or no?
  7. Would that depend on the SAO trigger style? There are several that have the release point farther forward (CZ SAO model) and some have the release point farther back (CGW flat).
  8. How is that? Even CGW recommends removing the disco.
  9. How many people run the Recoil / Shock Buffs that come with the S2?
  10. What ammo and recoil spring are you using?
  11. Anyone have Sport Pistol load data, including OAL for the Shadow 2 (4.9" barrel) and 135 gr coated FP? Looking to get 130~ PF.
  12. Curious, have you tried Precision Delta 124gr JHP? I had great results with those.
  13. I bought the Armanov Handgun Recoil Spring Tester, and here is what I found: Installed Recoil Spring = 13.3# Longer Recoil Spring = 11# Shorter Recoil Spring = 10.8#
  14. Do a Google search for: "slide weight" recoil spring You will find multiple sources that say lighter slide = lighter recoil spring. This article is an example: https://pistolwizard.com/guides/slide "Anytime you change the weight of the slide, experiment with different recoil springs so the pistol continues to function reliably. A lighter slide usually means lighter springs, and vice versa."
  15. Lighter slide = less reciprocating mass. Less mass = less spring force needed to slow/stop the rearward moving slide in recoil. Less mass = less spring force needed to close the forward moving slide.
  16. Staccato XC, VooDoo Priest come stock with those recoil springs and are not Open guns. Everything I’ve read is the opposite: the lighter the slide, the lighter the recoil spring (in general).
  17. I thought there wasn't a correlation between the hammer spring and recoil spring weights. Doing a quick search - it looks like the CZ factory hammer spring is 20#. Are you saying a very light recoil spring (7-8#) is possible with a heavy hammer spring?
  18. Several 2011s can run a really light (7-8#) recoil spring, still cycle fast, feed reliably and return to POA. CZ Shadows running 130pf loads - most competitive shooters run an 11# recoil spring. How are the 2011s able to run reliably with such a light recoil spring? Slide weight? The 2011 design? Are CZ Shadows capable of reliably running a 7-8lb recoil spring? What modifications would that take?
  19. @kneelingatlas or anyone else: How would you polish to achieve a buttery smooth slide? Dremel? If so, which attachments? Sandpaper? If so, which levels of coarseness? Any other methods? Any places to polish besides: top of the frame, bottom of the slide and the rail groove?
  20. No, the Shadow 1 makes weight though.

    Shadow 2 Compact

Red Hill Tactical and Legacy Firearms have S2C holsters.

The internal parts of the S1 and S2 are the same and inter-changeable: trigger, recoil spring, hammer spring, firing pin, hammer etc. The ergonomics are slightly different. Also, the SP01 Shadow makes weight in IDPA, the Shadow 2 does not.
