  1. Actually what I'm thinking about doing is buying another alchin mount and slide ride c-more. I'll just switch the sights and I won't have to re-zero. The 5 holes brings the c-more right back to the same spot. This is a rather expensive solution so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I won't use the railway mount because you have to take the c-more off to swithc ribs to shoot limited and open on the marvel. I probably won't contact Marvel because of that reason. The Alchin mounts keeps the sight zeroed when putting it back on but a weaver base would have to be sighted back in. Defeats the purpose. Flyin40
  2. I finally went ahead and bought a Dillion Terminator scale and wow does it make it easy for checking loads, so quick. Anyone ever run into problems with them?? Flyin40
  3. I had a 50AE Desert Eagle awhile ago. If you ever shot indoors everybody on the range had a rude awakening. I think I will eventually get another one, more for collecting than anything. Flyin40
  4. Watched the last yrs Steel Match on the Outdoor channel tonight on the Shooting Gallery. Man those guys where flyin. Had some great camera angles to see these guys tear the steel up Flyin40
  5. Well I received the internals and bases, all Grams and tried the 170mm tube and 1 of my 140mm, both fit the EGW gauge with room to spare. I have the 4mm bases. I'm now working on getting 26 in the 170mm tube in 40sw, getting 25 right now. 19 in the 140mm, wanting the 20. I'm about to do some searching on the site for tuning the mags. I love the Grams pad, Glad I went with them. Flyin40
  6. Thks, that explains it alittle more. Have you contacted Marvel about it?? They might have come across this problem before and have a solution. I'll contact them to find out and let you know. Flyin40
  7. I posted a WTB in the classifieds and a guy replied and stated it just sits crooked. Didn't really give an explanation. With the mount and railway on a weaver I don't see this being a problem. I would think it would be a faulty mount. He also said you have to take off the cmore off the mount to get the scope mount off to shoot the marvel with iron sights. I didn't really think about that. Duh........... So I will end up having to sight the cmore in regardless everytime I use it. Might have to rethink this. Flyin40
  8. Anyone use the comp cleaning tool from Brownells?? Whats it made out of. Was wondering if it scratches the gun on the inside of the comp. Flyin40
  9. Amyone have a Marvel conversion and a C-More on the Marvel scope mount rib. Some informed me they coudn't bet the Cmore to line up correctly on the gun with the Marvel mount. With a railway and weaver mount it should be fine. Any ideas Flyin40
  10. Good thread, I take my CCW course next weekend and still haven't decided on which gun I want for carry. Leaning towards a para LDA. Love that 2 tone, nice pistol Flyin40
  11. I just ordered a EGW mag gauge and wanted to make sure I'm measuring the correct way. I ordered Grams internals and pads and decided to work on the mags myself. My understanding is for the 4mm to work some of the tube may need trimmed. Whats the best way to do this?? I would of rather just ordered mags from Beven but can't spend the money right now for completed mags Flyin40
  12. Man, it has me thinking. Hmmmmmmm........Gee another reason to spend money. Flyin40
  13. How is the single stack grip made from STI?? I assume its a thinner version of the widebody like a regular width single stack. Or is it widebody type to fit the single stack mags. Maybe filling in the the internal grip. Just wondering how much the single stack feels like the widebody. Flyin40
  14. Well I just got off work and checked the mail and what do you know I have a box from Marvel waiting on me. 3 STI mags, spare springs and a fiber optic front sight. They shipped them Friday. Just wanted to let those who had trouble getting mags for STI's it only took about 2 weeks to get them. Once I took a look at the mags I noticed they are just single stack mags with a wide body attachment. Well my next thing is going to see if I can just order the attachment so I can make the mag that came with the unit fit STI. Not sure if they sell them separately. The front sight took at 1 min. to install. Looks pretty sharp. Flyin40
  15. I didn't see Para listed on the guns that fit the 012, I'm sure it does but anyone use a para and a 012 Flyin40
  16. I can't remember reading one post about changing rules. Only thing that was said was all hits on paper. Thats not changing the rules. Flyin40

  18. I can probably speak for Steve, here in Ohio its been in the 20's for temp. Kinda hard to get going when its that cold. Add snow and wind. Might have to take the gun to the truck warm it up and the heater and then go make a run at it. Flyin40
  19. This topic is about informing new shooters about mistakes they are making in a way to make sure they will return not about whether or not you should DQ someone. Flyin40
  20. I wanted touch on the subject of new shooters makin mistakes. I was at a match today, the first one since 1999 when I first started, I think I shot 5 matches back then. I haven't shoot a pistol since until 2 weeks ago and and had some adjusting and remembering to do. I still consider myself a beginner. I made 2 mistakes as far as the rules go and safety issues. Both times I was informed of the mistake in a way that wouldn't turn a new shooter away. This was much appreciated. I think this is important at a Local club level to keep new shooters from being intimidated or feel they are being belittled. Had a great time, glad to get back into it. I'll be on your heels before you know it guys Flyin40
