  1. If you engage paper first does it matter which target you shoot first, T1 or T2??? Flyin40
  2. Those who doubted just got a reality check Flyin40
  3. I'm looking for load data for Universal clays and 165 Rainer JHP. I did a search but found very little. Thks Flyin40
  4. I seen many of your post say that, you must have a big gargage to keep all the garbage you collect, LOL. Did you modify your platform to fit your conversion??? I'm trying mine out for the first time tomorrow. I don't have any STI mags yet, have to borrow a single stack just to try it out. Came with 1 1911 mag. Flyin40
  5. I was wondering what some times were for some drills. I need to start doing some drills. I'm going to the range tomorrow and want to get some times to start on so I can gauge my progress. What are some basic drills to start out with? I did some searching and found some. Are these good, any others??? Bill drill, hands at side and surrender Bill drill- 6, reload 6 2-2-2 drill 2-2-2 reload, 2-2-2 The basic practice draw Draw-shoot 1, reload, shoot 1 Of course the EL Prez with all the hype going on about it. I have never tried it and just want to see how it goes, more for fun Whats some times on these drills??? I shot for 6months in 1999 and haven't picked up a pistol since until last weekend Work schedule messed me up. Had to work EVERY weekend. I want to track my progress and I'm looking for some goals to reach. For those who are going to say it, fast as you can shoot an A. I understand that but want some times. I thought I was doing the bill drill last weekend but found out I wasn't. Set up 3 targets at 10yds about 3 ft apart, from surrender 2 to each target, 1.92 with a limited gun. I want to get some ideas so I can take to the range tomorrow and actually know what drill I'm doing. Thks Flyin40
  6. Exactly what I was looking for. I have some in the tumbler now. Thks for the quick reply Flyin40
  7. Someone said not to reload with nickel. Is there any problems with it in the 40sw??? Flyin40
  8. Everyone is sold out of them. You even have to wait for marvel. Flyin40
  9. I just got my Marvel yesterday, heres the unit on the gun in the holster with the modified platform. http://uploads.fakeleg.com/perm/platformmo...or%20marvel.JPG Flyin40
  10. All you need to do is modify the platform to fit the conversion. I did this when I first started. Just make sure you leave enough for the real gun http://uploads.fakeleg.com/perm/IMG_0324.JPG http://uploads.fakeleg.com/perm/IMG_0325.JPG BTW I should have my Marvel this week. Can't wait, I haven't shot since 99 and need lotz of practice. Flyin40
  11. When you were done with the class were you able to work on your own guns??? Have a completed pistol that you did is nice but I want to end up having enough knowledge that I can work on my guns. Flyin40
  12. I have a 011 thats functions with no problems. I do notice it sits alittle to close to the body and wanted to put it out a little farther. I bought spacers and longer screws and went at it. The idea was good but as soon as I picked up the holster I seen the Arredondo platform. It also would have to be moved to line up with the holster. Any ideas of how to do this. I assume I could make an attachment. I know there were some spacers kits out there for the 011 but how about the platform?? Also what about the shim for STI guns. Where exactly is it located. I found a thread where it talks about removing a shim so STI guns can fit better. Flyin40
  13. Did anyone check out Dave Samples Patriot course in latest issue of American Handgunner??? He teaches you how to build a custom pistol while your at home. Pistols look pretty impressive for first time builders. Flyin40

    Quotes from work

  17. I think I just realized why the comp look all wrong. You took either the scope mount off or the sight rib??? It would be flush with the top of the slide if they were on the gun Im guessing. Flyin40
  18. What comp is that?? Is that the Marvel comp on there. It looks alot different than the one on the website. I just bought one, actually buying it tomorrow so I'll have my early next week. Flyin40
  19. As much as these guys dedicated themselves to shooting who in thier right mind thinks they can even question them towards dedication towards a major win. When it becomes work and no fun your motivation suffers. You need to work but still have fun. Its good to see that even a GM can still have a blast shooting. Can break off from the usual training, have some fun. I remember my first yr, just having the best time, it seems these guys still are. This is for fun....Let them have it Flyin40
  20. I have been keeping up on this thread as it evolved. If theres was uncertainty early on its gone. I believe the non believers have provided all the motivation these guys need to do it. Keep telling them they won't do it. Its just fuel to the fire. Good luck guys I believe it will be done. I believe it will be done on video. Flyin40
  21. I'm already looking forward to it. I plan on sending an order you way Beven. Flyin40
  22. No excessive downward pressure is needed to break a safety for a lefty, as Shred said just the normal clicking on and off will do. I like the idea of heating and bending. I have thought about that before. Flyin40
  23. You can get 26 in a legal 170mm mag for open in the 40. Flyin40
  24. It sounds like you going open.... Flyin40
