  9. If you think your underclassed and want to ask to be moved up then do it. Your opinion is really the only one that matters. I did a little digging and looked you up on Uspsa and also the results of the Texas limited. I even broke out the calculator for you. If you shoot 3 more classifiers at an even 85% you will be master. If you go to a 6 classifier match then your 95% will drop off and it will take more. Personally if I were in your position I would just shoot the classifiers to make Master. I have had several matches that were State and Sectional that counted as classifier scores. Also if your going to Area matches those can count too. Flyin
  10. I have a Marvel on an STI unit. I ended cutting the rail in half at the front of the ejection port and moving the Cmore all the way to the front. It eliminated all my ejection problems. There was nothing over the ejection port at all. I liked the feel of the gun and it balanced well. The main reason for this is I put on a mag well that weighs 6-8 if I remember right. Depending on what gun your using and your setup will let you determine the scope palacement. My recommendation is to experiment with it. Since the match is only 2.5wks away I'm not sure that it is a good idea. If I were to experiment I would set up a few stages. Shoot your gun the way it is and record your times. Move the scope forward and shoot them again. Do this for 2-3 days. Flyin
  11. Inner belt is included with the outer belt right?? I'm assuming it is but on the safariland website there is not mention or pick of the inner belt Flyin Hmmm....I'm seeing it on this link. It is in their duty gear section. Did you get an inner belt with the outer belt?? Or that needs to be purchased separtely? Looks like you can have $75 in the inner and outer belt and another $50-$100 for the attachments?? That is without holster and mag pouches.........Am I seeing this correctly?? Flyin
  12. Inner belt is included with the outer belt right?? I'm assuming it is but on the safariland website there is not mention or pick of the inner belt Flyin
  13. Thks for the info. How is the firmness of the belt compared to a CR speed?? I have the nylon belt and there is alot to be desired. Put a full mag in and it wants to tip forward. Thks Flyin
  14. Thanks, Dave. I think I just changed my mind about training my GSP as a hunting, bird dog. I want him to run free in wide, open fields, and retrieve, but I don't think I could stomach watching a bird die. I KNOW! I'm such a girl. Is there such a thing as retrieving decoys? Yaye! Trained with Gabby Aubrey yesterday and what an experience. Gabby trains hunting dogs, as well as obedience. My first Viszla, whom I put to rest, needed little training. But my puppy German Short-haired Pointer is a handful. I run 5-miles and he wants to go further and faster. Gabby explained that my GSP needed intellectual training to wear him out, as well as running in the field. I've changed my mind about hunting birds, again. I think I could stomach it, now. Anyone up for hunting? When you actually see your dog in an actual hunting situation you will see what your dog was born to do. I don't care if I shoot anything, its fun just to see the dog work. I get even more satisfaction since I train my dogs myself. Have fun Flyin
  15. Wow, you just called our Host Goofy..... Brian used a piece on this glasses while shooting. Placing a piece of tape or closing one eye is doing the same thing. It allows the other eye to focus without the covered or closed eye interfering. The problem with it is depth perception. I did this for several yrs without any problems. It is more common than you think. For me it was nothing more than my eyes fighting over which one was more dominant. Each eye would try to take over so my focus would switch from one eye to the other. A piece of tape allows you to keep both eyes open so your not straining. It also allows you do see everything but the front sight. You can see up, down, right and left. Long range rifle shooters as well as bullseye shooters also do this. Its very effective. Flyin
  16. Thks for the input. I want the lock for walking around, setting steel or taping. The 012 holds the gun fine for starts. I thought about switching and trying something else but only have had 1 issue with the safariland. The locking mechanism seems to get worn after alot of use like dryfire. They have sent me free trigger blocks so no problem. The last one they sent was an 013 trigger block for my 012. So I have a spare for the 013. Flyin
  17. I have an 012 now but should have a 013 shortly. Great, I'll keep my 012 for dryfire. Now I just need to find another CR speed belt. Flyin
  18. Nice job. Your going to continue to meet a ton a great people. Wait until you start shooting Uspsa.....talk about adrenaline Flyin
  19. I'm wondering how everyone likes the 013?? Does the arrendondo 012 muzzle platform fit the 013?? How secure is the lock?? Thks Flyin
