  1. In squad 42! Glad I decided to check this thread, because I had no idea registration had opened!
  2. Anyone get an answer on this?? Nope never did. Posted in Area 6 FB group as well and didn't hear anything.
  3. I'm running an ISMI 13# flat spring on a ZEV stainless guide rod. This was a recent switch, and I still have the problem. Before I was running a 17#. So you're suggesting a non loaded chamber indicator extractor assembly for .40? And a ZEV extended ejector. Is that what comes with the Fulcrum kit? Because that's what I have in there. Edit: Would the extractor plunger/spring have any effect? I got the gun used, but only a few hundred rounds through it, probably around 2500 total, but who knows if that thing was used before on another gun.
  4. I have a Glock 35 that I use a KKM 9mm barrel with for 3 gun stuff. I have found that every 1-2 out of 100 rounds, I'll get a empty casing stovepipe(I think that would be the right term) and prevent the slide from going forward. I am almost certain it is because the shell is not being ejected with enough force. When firing, the casings usually pop out only couple inches above the gun. This means, every once and awhile the shell just stays inside the frame and wants to fall through the magazine well, the magazine keeps it from falling down so it stays in the slide, thus causing a jam. I have replaced the ejector with a 9mm ejector, and I THOUGHT I replaced the extractor with a 9mm extractor. I'm almost positive I did, but they look so similar I can't tell. What else can I do to get these to eject better? This gun eats 9mm so well, and I don't want to have to get another gun, but once a match it's causing me a major malfunction. .40 ejects well and shoots perfectly btw.
  5. Hmm, still haven't gotten anything. But I'm not worried, sounds like I'll be shooting it no problem!
  6. I'm number 204, and on the waitlist. Any idea how many people are ahead of me?
  7. It feels pretty similar to an M2 in weight and balance, but it does have a longer fore-end to grab.
  8. Another great match! Everything ran smoothly! Obviously there were a few minor hickups such as a couple reshoots, a nook went out a couple times, but squads moved fast, stages were really fun and a good variety of types. Thanks to Mark and the EAGC crew, and to all the sponsors. Hopefully I'll be at next year's again, but by then I'll be living way up in Nebraska! Here's some highlights of my match, definitely my best performance to date.
  9. Damn right they are! Come see me at the Chrono tomorrow if you have any questions about the plugs. I'm looking forward to waking up at 2am to make it down in time. See you all tomorrow!
  10. If that stuff ruins your weekend, you should probably take a step back and ask why you are actually spending time in this sport.
  11. Didn't expect so many people to prefer the 1301! I'm glad I made that my first 3 gun purchase, and I didn't even do as much research as I should have.
  12. Gotta watch out for those guys that are A/B/C in other divisions shooting in your division for the first time too!
  13. I hear ya. But with a limited budget, I make do. I've been DQ'd, but for other reasons. And like I said, I always check retention level before start of each stage, and I hold hand over holster while running.
  14. Same. It has adjustable retention. I just whip out my knife and tighten/loosen depending on the stage. In a full sprint, I put my hand over the gun just in case, but it's still never come out. You can loosen it all the way for USPSA use and it's super fast.
  15. I was able to borrow a caddy for the second day of the SE Regional, and I will be replacing all of my AP customs with these in time. They are more space efficient, solidly built, and hold my shells under a full sprint. I'm pretty fast so everytime I had to run I was losing shells from the AP Customs. To top it off, Kevin is an awesome guy who clearly is doing everything to make these the best value for the customers!
  16. I'm not by any means a good rifleman, but I will say, on the way long(er) distance stage at the SE Regional (150-290), where I shot by FAR my best stage (6th/180ish) it was all about controlling breathing, picking the proper shooting stance, and getting a nice trigger squeeze. I think the only reason I beat a lot of people is because I took the time to settle into good shooting positions (which takes practice and can be done dry-fire easily), and then using good fundamentals. Practice kneeling, crouching, standing prone, etc. with a barrier and at different angles and settling the sights before a trigger pull. For 3 gun long distance I think the most important thing is getting into a solid position as fast as possible.
  17. I also can Load 2 my 1301 more reliably than the Performance Shop M2 I've had the opportunity to mess with.
  18. I'm really looking forward to this one! First major USPSA I've shot since September!!! And I've improved significantly since then.
  19. Rci Xtension (+5) + "+2" extension add on. 14" of spring = 13+1 capacity.
  20. I wasn't saying I'm worried about it, but if you're talking about guns left on a table behind you that may fall off, it's a little scary. Also, it allows RO's to clear weapons if you move elsewhere. Can't do that, if you're in front. Big stage required, obviously.
  21. I like the idea of limiting forward movement past a potentially loaded gun if there's any question of safety, but dump barrels are quicker and can be fine if they're stable and big enough.
  22. I thought it was a great match! Obviously the golf cart thing was a charlie foxtrot. Having to pay for that was a pain, and I feel bad for people who bought four seaters, not worth the double price! Once we were moving, the RO's were solid and efficient, we were able to move through the stages in the prescribed amount of time, but I know there were squads who weren't. Stages were an awesome mix of fast shoot e'm up, and some long distance, as well as some technical puzzles. I did not find any of the safety rules inhibiting on any of the stages. Realistically, the prize table moved pretty quick, I've had to wait much longer than that for most other major matches I've shot. And I walked away with some awesome prizes! Good job to the match staff, hopefully I can shoot the Midwest Regional. I am also interested in seeing how the Regional Series and Semi Pro series will be calculated.
  23. 1301 made it through the entire Southeast Regional with no problems and it got dirty! Dropping it tons of barrels and riding on the back of the cart made it accumulate a ton of dirt. I rocked an RCI xtension with +2 Xtension and had zero problems. LOVING this gun. Just wish I had had time to practice with a new choke I got last week. My Carlson's LM choke raised the pattern a good 3-4 inches over the Beretta IC choke and it threw me off on one stage. Slugs were still POA = POI at around 40-45 yards. EDIT: Also, I originally thought that the walls would be inhibiting for L2/ Quad loads, but I was able to bring the walls down enough that I can very consistently and quickly using these methods. The only problem is which carriers I use and my hand size. I didn't drop a single shell while reloading this weekend.
  24. I got a confirmation email yesterday that I was in. Probably took a week from time in the mail to confirmation email. GETTING EXCITED!
