Thinking I might need (really want) and open shotgun, it would be a box fed gun for sure.... Looking for opinions on brand and why, we have Dissident, R&R, Tooth&Nail....anyone else? Whatcha got?

I'm going to give open a go this year and have my gun set up, its a 9mm parts gun, w/ SV grip. For the 140 mags I am going to use the MBX mags that I use in my DVC3gun (9mm), the followers and springs have been updated w/ Grams because I just couldn't keep them running w/MBX guts. I need a 170 mag and didn't really want to go through the MBX issues again, so who else should I be looking at?

I do the same, and before any asks why, mag malfunctions. If my big stick goes down I have a back up. Learned the hard way.

This is what happened without a barrel clamp......kind of a bummer.. I run one now

If you just want to buy one, Lacey Cabelas had a couple on the rack but they are like $2200, for just a little more check with Hayes Custom or Roth for a better gun.

I'm all for trying new things but this is going backwards..........Might as well go back to HF scoring for multi-gun

I think a Swarovski discount is about the hardest of anything to find.....not really sure they exist........

With USPSA, Outlaw, 3gun nation ect. It can be tough to keep all of the rules straight.......not a complaint just an observation. It seems a lot of folks weren't 100% on what the rules were. Great match regardless.

I wouldn't worry about Swaro and their warranty, they take care of the costumer pretty well. As far as the scope, I feel the extra cost is worth it, but only you can determine if its worth it to you or not. The 1-6 has not been discontinued and the 1-8 has been out for a while, take a look at that one also. Its a couple of hundred more. Good luck!

Awesome info guys.......to bad this had to be done in the first place. By using the 38/40 followers, was there any capacity that was lost?

I have been having problems with rounds getting past the followers when the mags hit the ground. The last match it happened 4 times in 6 stages in 2 different mags. I have also had issues with 2 rounds getting side by side and binding up to where I need a screwdriver to getting it free. I heard MBX has great service but I don't have time to be without them for a couple of weeks. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what did they do?

With the 8Zi and the 6Zi with the BRT reticle, I don't use the pre printed bullet drops as my velocities are different. Go to Swaro's website and use the Ballistic Program enter your info and I have found it to be right on. I'm guessing they are using the chart examples for the Z6i in the Z8i, I'll check both later and see if they are the same. I didn't even bother to look, but zero'ing on 8x would be correct. For me, I use a 200yd zero., know my offset and am able to hold on any target you will find in 3gun out to 200.

This happened during dryfire a few days ago, actually consider myself lucky. Could have easily been during a match.

Did you bother to contact them? That would seem the best route since this isn't the norm with their products.

Whats the flavor? Open terrain? Bays? Rifle distance?

Twice I have had loose primers get into the trigger locking up the rifle and once I had a broken extractor, all during bigger matches.....

Is anyone running the same load for both pistol and PCC? I am hoping to find a good compromise to find a load to shoot in my 9mm STI 3 gun pistol and a GMR-13.

I did a .260 build earlier this year, I went with all JP Barrel, Low mass b/c, captured spring buffer, and I used a non adjustable gas block originally. That resulted in major over gassing, replaced the block with a Superlative gas block and everything was great. I'm shooting .5-.6 groups w/ 140SMKs.

I have a .625 Superlative and its been great.
