    New grips SP01

I'd consider the DAA grips too. I have the thin DAA grips on my shadows and really like them a lot.
  4. Looks like I'm gonna have to pick up a new Glock or two...
  5. Tried it for the first time today with the glock 34, average was 6.8 seconds. Going to try it tomorrow with the shadow and see what my time is. PM sent for part 2!
  6. I have daa grips on my shadow and really like them. They are thin like the aluminum cz grips but have a lot more texture to them.
  7. This might help the op out.
  8. Welcome from kendall county! Lots of great info on here. Check out wiilshoot.com for local match info too.
  9. They are honestly worth every penny in my opinion.
  10. My Kimber was very finnicky when it was new, however after I put some rounds through it and got it broken in it runs awesome. You could pay to have a smith do some work on it or just shoot it and break it in that way plus side to that is you get used to your new gun. I do understand how frustrating it is though when it gets hung up barely out of battery and you really have to force the slide back to get the round it.

    Which one?

  12. Just got mine yesterday too. Sent from my SM-G900V using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
  13. Im thinking my next Glock will be a 20 or 20sf. Won't use it to compete or anything just want a fun plinker and I've never had a 10mm, not in any huge rush to get one though.
  14. I am running a 13lb ismi spring in my 34 and have been real happy with it. I have a few thousand rounds through it and havent had any issues shooting many dfferent kinds of ammo.
  15. I have experienced one squib round, I was by myself shooting steel and was about halfway through a 10 round drill when it happened. What got me was the sound it made a weird "pop" with no recoil and luckily I stopped and took it apart. Ever since then when I'm shooting and something doesn't sound or feel quite right I stop, take the pistol apart and double check. Only done it a few times but I would rather be overly cautious then lose a finger.
  16. I'm a lefty and have tried using my trigger finger to release the mag but for me it is more comfortable to use my middle finger to press the magazine release. I have tried flipping the mag release to the right side of the pistol but since I have small hands I really have to tweak my grip to be able to press it with my thumb.
  17. In IL there is a 72 hour wait on handguns, so since I purchased it on Friday I wouldn't of been able to pick it up til today. Unfortunately since I got called in today I can't pick it up until Thursday. But heck I can't complain I'm just glad I don't have to deal with the NICS.
  18. Thanks for the input guys! He ran me today and it went through. I still don't understand why it was denied in the first place but I'm just glad I don't have to go through the appeal process. Thanks for the help and everyone have a happy and safe new years! -Mike
  19. Thanks for the replys, I'm going to give the store a call in a little bit and see if they'll run me again. Hoping for the best!
  20. Went to the gun store Friday night to purchase a new glock, filled out the paper work as usual paid and left. When I got home I had a voicemail from the store saying that when they called me in I was denied! By the time I got the voicemail they were closed and I haven't talked to them since, however they open in a few hours and I'm going to try and have them run me again. I don't understand why I was denied and how to proceed. I literally don't even have a speeding ticket on my record and I bought a new pistol and was called in without a hitch about 2 weeks ago. I'm from IL so I had a LEO friend run me and sure enough my FOID came back valid. If it comes back denied today I don't know if I should contact ISP FOID division or the NICS. So far from what I've read if I have to go through the NICS the appeals process can be quite long and a real PITA. I should add that I did send in for a address change on my FOID but that shouldn't change my FOID number or expiration on it. Any input would be greatly appreciated, I would like to get this resolved ASAP. -Mike
