  1. Can't you cut the Kick Eez pads down to custom fit? My concern is if the adhesive would come undone.
  2. They do like to start young, don't they? My daughter will be 4 this July and is already pestering me for an M&P 15-22 in pink camo for her birthday.
  3. I just ordered an extended lifter from TTI. I was wondering about this, too. I have no problem with load two but in quad loading I have the same problem occasionally. I've never tried quad loading with any other shotgun, however, so I thought at first it was just my crappy technique. Sometimes it seems as if it's catching right where the mag tube meets the body internally.
  4. Well, it's only slander if it's not true and you're lying about them. As it is, you've basically done worse by saying how they screwed you and are liars, etc... without any supporting evidence, you know? I'm not saying you're lying at all or that they didn't, in fact, treat you badly. It's just that by putting out a bunch of nebulous, non-specific comments about how bad they are it's actually worse than if you spelled out what happened and let others make up their own minds. Does that make sense?
  5. Hey Kevin, would you care to elaborate on this a bit? I've never heard of any other dealings with them like this but would like to get an idea of what happened?
  6. I haven't tried running anything super light in it yet but I will second the idea of polishing up the mag tube where the spring rides. The action on mine was really loud and crappy sounding when I first got it but after cleaning the mag tube really well and then sanding it completely smooth with some 800 grit sandpaper and then lubing it up it's very smooth and the action is much nicer. It's also not nearly as loud to cycle as it was.
  7. I picked mine up off of gunbroker.com for less than $460 including shipping and FFL fees. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  8. Did the hi-viz screw right in or did you have to re-thread? Also, where did you pick your's up?
  9. Damn, that's pretty hard core! Loving the bolt handle, by the way. Looks as good on your's as it does on mine.
  10. I would heartily agree with replacing the sear and springs with Apex. I have an M&P .40 and the gun is great in every way except for the stock trigger which is pretty awful. I replaced my trigger with the Apex FSS trigger and it's night and day now. If you want to stick with production then you probably won't want the full FSS replacement trigger as that would bump you to limited but you can keep the stock plastic trigger and replace the springs and sear with the Apex DCAEK kit which would make you good to go. Easily the most important thing to do for this gun is fix that crappy trigger.
  11. I received Tom's bolt handle yesterday. Popped it in and the fit is excellent. Spins and looks great. Fantastic job on the M3000 components, Tom, and thanks for the great support!
  12. To this I'd also add that I have the 26" version and I have no problems with weight or swinging it around. Pick up a 24" and give it a try.
  13. I don't have a pic but my first competition was a local steel plate match a few years ago which I shot with the only gun I had at the time, a Glock 23 with a Blackhawk belt, Uncle Mike's mag pouch and Bladetech holster.
  14. Most of the oversized bolt release buttons I've seen aren't necessarily specific to one gun or another since all require the original bolt release to be drilled and tapped.
  15. That's exactly what I was thinking. Taking the Dremel or even just a little bit of sandpaper by hand to round everything off. I have to say, though, that going from load 2 to quads it's going to be impossible to go back. Even with my initial clumsy attempts with shells hitting the floor it was still faster. First match isn't until April so I've got plenty of time to practice.
  16. Just got my 12q today. Been doing load 2 with Taccom stuff for about a year now and it's pretty smooth but definitely wanted to move to tossing quads. So far here are my $0.02. First off, these guys are pros. Excellent communication, super fast shipping and an amazingly hard core product. The production quality on this thing rocks. Setup on my Teklok took all of about 5 minutes to adjust and mess with positioning but within a few minutes I was tossing quads. The only thing I noticed, and this is definitely something I'm going to play with a bit, is that I tend to bang my knuckles against the plastic and it's a little sharp. I think this may do to how I have them angled but I'm going to play with this a bit over the weekend to see if I can get a little better positioning. The hold is really good, though, and I have no fear of shells falling out. The sharp edges are probably just because I have pretty large hands and maybe I'm used to the rounded Taccom holders more. Either way, I'm sure I'll get this sorted out. For now, I'm definitely impressed and they were way worth the money. Having 12 shells in the space that I previously had 8 is also a big plus. I might actually end up ordering another 12q and get rid of my Taccom 8up altogether.
  17. Wish I could make this one but it's my wife's birthday and I'm pretty sure it would end up being my last 3 gun match at that point!
  18. Any time. I had to wrestle with this one myself so happy to pass on the info!
  19. North Porter County Conservation Club also has a few 3 gun matches scheduled. It's in Indiana but only about a 45 minute drive from downtown Chicago.
  20. The TTI bolt button takes a #38 bit to drill the hole and a 5-40 tap to thread it.
  21. Still better than where I'm at up in the Peoples Republic of Chicago. Welcome to the party.
  22. Okay, I had to order a 12Q tonight. Can't wait to try it out when they get here. Looks too damned cool not to.
  23. You could always just buy a new complete upper if you don't want to get to technical with a barrel change and such. I actually did exactly that as my PSA M4 morphed into a 3 gun rifle over a year and a half before I finally got a Stag Model 3GH complete upper and swapped.
  24. It's certainly more than doable if you have the tools. What makes you think it's on it's last legs? Is this the one with the chrome lined barrel?
