Looks like RMR finally raised their prices. Unless I'm mistaken: 124gr JHP $266 to $294 for 3000 115 FMJ Mini match winers $300 to $312 for 4000 I'm sure there are others but these are the two I commonly buy and noticed right away.

Yup. Case feeders and bullet feeders are sensitive to motion. Both mine run like clock work...so my bench must be stable... I use a Lyman Gen 6 powder trickler and also have had zero issues when running it and a press at the same time. When I load precision rifle stuff I use the Bald Eagle scale which is very sensitive and measure to .01 grains. Again zero issues with that scale and press running. I often measure bulk ammo powder randomly to confirm I’m still where I should be, and 99.9% of the time I’m with in .05 grs one direction or the other. To each his own. That’s the beauty of this. But to say something can’t work because it didn’t work for you is a real issue in this community. Less than a .1 of a grain powder difference while loading bulk ammo is good enough for me. Nothing sways. Bullet feeder runs like clockwork. Ammo is more accurate than I am.

Sorry, accidental post, but I thought I’d use it anyway. In a follow up to my last post. Is there even any benefits to have super clean primer pockets?

Do you think maybe wet tumbling once, or every once in a while is beneficial to super clean primer pockets? I definitely don’t wet tumble much. Just do to the labor involved. Like I said I usually only wet tumble bulk 5.56/300BO brass that is new to me after I’ve sized and trimmed. I find that some of those cases that look tarnished beyond repair coming out new looking. And it’s easier to get the cases cleaned up. Use quite a bit of lube for that process. Also, sometimes when brass has been fired several times in a suppressed gun. SO dirty. I don’t wet tumble my precision rifle brass after every firing. Usually only once in a while. Maybe after a good resize and trim. And when I say “precision rifle” I’m not a bench rest guy, or chasing one whole groups. I’m just looking for sub MOA consistency repeatably out of a couple of “tweaked” rifles.

I’ll preface this with “I have no idea what I’m talking about”, but I just use the Redding dry neck lube to recreate that layer. And I’m guessing it’s slicker than even the original carbon build up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree that bench isn’t heavy enough, but wheels aren’t an “instant” deal breaker. My bench is on wheels (actually heavy duty casters) and I have zero issue. But my bench also weights several hundred pounds with nothing on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My house was built in 94. Has a whole house sprinkle system. I live in the middle of the desert. It’s a tinder box 9/10 of the year. If my house catches fire and I don’t happen to be standing right there my house is going to burn to the ground in a matter of minutes. Nothing is going to make any difference. I’m not sure the sprinkler system will make a difference. My primers are in my garage, thousands and thousands of them, along with everything else. Including powder. And chemicals. No gas, but plenty of other flammable liquids. And I’d store gas if I needed it. The nanny state has infected our brains with fear of the unknown and things that “might” happen. Doesn’t mean it won’t or can’t. But come on. I have no space left to build anything else for special “storage”. I’ll roll the dice. If my house burns to the ground, and primers or powder were the cause, I’ll let everyone know so you all can say I told you so, and I’ll admit I was wrong. I concur with the above post. I have both the SwageIt large and small for my 550 and the Armanov swagger for my 650. The Armanov is a little better product but neither swagges 223/5.56 pockets effectively. I’d say about 1/3 of the brass still needs the Dillon super swagger to even have a chance of seating the primer. Another 1/3 the pocket is tight but if you jiggle the brass around you can get a primer to seat. And the last 1/3 will actually take a primer as intended. Just processed about 8200 pieces of new to me 223/5.56 brass on the 650 with an RCBS Black Small Base die in station 1, RT1500, and Armanov swagger. I think the extra effort it takes on the upstroke to get a half ass swage isn’t worth it. I think next time I’ll just use the Dillon swagger 100%. Or maybe just get a CP2000....or an 1100... Wet really works best when deprimed first. I dry in dehydrator and then tumble in a walnut corn cob mix to polish it up a bit. It’s a lot of work. I reserve the process for new to me rifle brass and precision rifle loads.

Works for me. I like talking about hoarding more anyway.
