Ill do a photo run down on here. I have the rubbe ones and just don't like how round they are. It make the gun less pointable in my brain. Plus my support hand still can't get a good grip on the gun even though its wider because they are rounded. He is making me a set out of delrin(sp?) but he made his out of G10 and is looking for a company that could produce them out at a price competitive enough to sell them for a profit. I don't know if any of you guys have worked with G10 but CNC folks hate it and charge a lot to make grips out of it. So he is also looking into Aluminium as well.

I ordered the DAAs and I have the rubber already as we'll as the thin Aluminium and I have a friend who has started designing and creating competition grips for the CZ who is going to make me some out of derlin or delrin plastic to test and evaluate. I'll do a comparison on here once I get the custom and DAA grips.

WWWWow! What was the process of getting that beauty looking like that? What did you use to get that bitching "scale" look? I'd love to replicate that look using that DIY Duracoat Shake n Spray. We used laundry bags overseas to get that look. I have heard of people using fishnet stockings also.

I have been shooting competitively for 2 years and very dedicated for the last year putting in at least 1,000 rounds a month of shooting, split between matches and practice 10 times that amount in dry fire training. I suck hard. However even with all that shooting I am fairly new to USPSA an its a different beast than the matches I was used to. My old matches you could absolutely miss fast enought to win.

I'll take fleas over chiggers any day I have scars from my feet to knees from chiggers.

I really like the way those inov8 shoes look. How do you like them? I wanted to get some shoes that would give me traction but not screw me if I had to walk across a board or try to balance on something.

Did you possibly hit rebar?

THIS ^^^^^ If your bolt isn't coming back far enough to throw the empty out you don't want a heavier buffer. You need more gas to push that bolt back and cycle the empty out.

Well there is an USPSA match in Cresson This Sat. A local run and gun steel match in Justin Sunday. I think there is an IDPA match Sat as well but I'll be in Cresson. If you looking for a local group of competitive shooters and are also on Facebook check out the North Texas Lead Farmers there are normally people going to most matches in this area and some much further.

I hope this is why. If my gun takes longer than planned because they want it to be perfect I won't complain at all.

Philosophy

My 1 DQ was a 180 it was also the first stage of the day an I had shot maybe 4 rounds. I got it trying to crawl under a wall. It was stupid they had 2 ways to get to a second shooting position under or around. Well I'm 6'2" and should not have tried to go under. I went under it sideways right foot body left foot and crossed the gun in front of me in the process and it was just enough.

Have any of you guys dealt with Salient Arms? I purchased a 930 from them and they quoted me 2-3 months and said they would send me photos of the build along the way. So I purchased the most expensive 930 you can buy. Well a month into it they said it got pushed back but was being built and it would be 2 months. Well that deadline passed. So I have asked for photos and been ignored I asked why its taking so long and they informed me the stopped all production to make guns for the new Transformers movie. I'm trying to be patient but I'm not a rich man and spent a lot on a shotgun based on promises that aren't being kept. Have any of you guys handled any of Salient's guns and is it worth the wait and hassle? I'm I freaking out about nothing?

I have shot with DAPS a couple times but I suck at IDPA but I have a few close friends that shoot there all the time. I will also shoot the USPSA matches out at Cresson when work allows it. I really enjoy the monthly run and gun steel match at Proactive Defense/Quail Creek. It doesn't have many rules other then the general safety stuff and its a great group of guys. A great XDM trigger can get close to a good 1911 trigger. A great 1911/SAO trigger can't be beat on a pistol. The overall travel will be the shortest the break will be the lightest and cleanest. If you are trying to buy yourself advantages that's the way to go. There are plenty of people that will smoke me with a stock glock no matter what I have. That's who I want to be the guy that will win place show with whatever gun I have.

I use Fire Clean because of Jeremy and I originally purchased it with the idea of provig it was a snake oil. I have nothing bad to say about it though.

I used to shoot hi capacity divisions in local matches and went to production class USPSA I was running 41 total rounds on a 32 round count stage doesn't allow for mag changes at the best places and I had to be sure and make my hits. I'm gonna add a mag holder possibly 2

The best things that have helped me are glucosamine and staying hydrated. When I get dehydrated or drink too muh booze or coffee I can feel a major differance in my joints.

What do you guys keep in your range bags. I was at a local match web a friend pulled out some wet wipes and I got jealous my range bag wasn't full of cool stuff. Well I went about fixing that today. So what do you keep in your range bag. What do you wish you had in it.

I want a sight radius that would come on a full size firearm with a 4.5-5.5 inch barrel. That's my sweet spot.

How often are you guys replacing the grease?

I lose by more then .05 just so this won't effect me.
