Roulette tactical and shooters source makes a +2 for the old Nordic tubes. I use the XXL cap for 9+1 on my 22". As far as slug go mine is dead on out to 75 yards without the barrel clap on. I've never shot slugs with it on so I dont know how that would effect it.

Thats the most popular division..... I am building a tac irons gun now.....I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure I can use a red dot in irons without a magnifier.

Its two divisions. You are correct...1 optic for your rifle, irons for pistol, and shotgun puts you in tac optics. Irons on all three puts you in tac irons.

Everyone uses something a little different. I've seen people load from their pockets so you could get away with nothing tell you see what you like. I only carry one extra ar mag on my belt and one in the gun. Shot shell caddies are a whole nother thing. Right now I'm going with three 6 shell cadies and a spare 4 rounds I normally load slugs in for the stages that use them so I don't load the wrong shell. I think I'm going to go with the EZ8 caddie so I can load 2 or weak hand load. As far as round counts go I bring at least 50% more than they say you will need.

My local range requires a chamber flag for both rifle and shotgun, even on the practice ranges.

Picked up one of these 1x6 a few weeks ago when they were on sale for a little more than half of what they are on sale for now. I've only ever run walmart winchester and federal in my JM. With that said it may not be the best sg ammo, but it does work. Around 300 rounds I had a disaster of a match with it. The sg wouldn't eject, didn't make it through a stag all day. I did some research after that match, and found that polishing the chamber may help. So I did it, wasn't hard, 10 mins with some metal polish on a cotton shotgun swab on a cleaning rod in a cordless drill. I took it out to the range at work and ran 100 rounds with no issues, then at my next match it ran with no problems. Hasn't had any problems since. (300 more rounds or so) hope that helps.

Everything frankie said... but if you want to stay in open you could add an optic to your shotgun. You don't have to have one to be in open, but if your going to shoot open you might as well go all the way.

I had to do some minor filing on the followers to get the max number of rounds in with the Dawson pads. I just followed the video on their page. Worked like a charm.

I've seen father, son or daughter share everything but a handgun. May not be ok at bigger matches, but local ones should be fine.

I don't know about the box, I've only shot 3 gun. I do have mags with extended base pads but the ones without fit just fine. I've never had a problem getting them to seat when on the clock. If you would like a pic of one in the gun I can get that for you in the morning.
