  1. The load 2/4 method is taking over, but I keep my caddies in my range box for stages that you have to go prone on. That seems to be the only downside to the load 2/4. I did pick up one of the EZ8 caddies that you can load 2 from, that wont fall out when you go prone. If its any indication that you can go fast with the "old style" caddies Daniel Horner still uses them and he's doing pretty good.
  2. So its only one event this year? Not one at topton, and one at peacemaker?
  3. The Dawson ice magwell can be used with a backstrap, just have to pick the one for the backstrap your using.
  4. Then those are all great choices. I've never shot an xd (have an M&P .40 for work, and Glock 34 for 3gun) but haven't seen or heard any thing bad about the xd's.
  5. All are great for 3 gun. You don't have to go out and buy all new guns if you dont want to. Most here will tell you to just take what you already have and give it a try. I've only shot 3 local matches but my gear seems to change for everyone I've been to. Have a good time, be safe, and good luck!
  6. their website lists a match for February. I ordered a TACCOM 6 and 8 dual load just a few mins ago.
  7. I was loading 2. It was my first ever time doidng it so I was fumbling shells all over the place. I think my middle finger was pushing the front of the 2nd shell up a little so it was hitting the front of the receiver. I have pretty big hands and didnt seem to notice the divider. This is the first stage I used it on. Some of them go in smooth some dont.
  8. The wife got me one for an anniversary present. I have only used it in one match and very little practice (came in the mail the night before the match) It's going to take a little more practice but I think it will work well. I was grabing the shells wrong and the 2nd one was sometimes missing the tube. But it does work good when you only need that 1 more round at the end of a stage.
  9. I've only done 2, but neither made it past 45 pounds
  10. As said its 35-85 so you shouldn't have a problem getting it were you need it. I wouldn't cut anything off.
  11. Looks like you can get the red one for $125. http://www.shop.sirttraininggun.com/SIRT-AR-Bolt-w-Red-Laser-for-Outdoor-Training-by-NLT-022099695189.htm You also can see kind of how they work here. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180636 Look about half way down for a few videos.
  12. Looks like kobalt benches from lowes
  13. No, the 3500 is the longer action for 3.5" shells. Ok thank you
  14. I'd say start which ever way your most comfortable. I like using a scope so thats the way I went. You already have one so if that's what you want to use than by all means go for it. My first match had a bonus target out at 500yd, not that I couldn't hit it with irons but its easier with a scope.
  15. l've got one of these on the way. Should be here by Thursday. You can load either way. Check out their videos on YouTube. http://www.theshooterssource.com/shotshell-carrier-carbon-black-p-20075.html
  16. Watching a match is almost as much fun as shooting it..... not really but if your not going to shoot might as well watch.
  17. You can take a look at this... http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=182826
