  1. Has anyone seen his new documentary? Mickel Moure was on Larry King Live last night. This documentary hits close to home. I will see it soon, and I am wondering what others here think about it. Like him or not, this documentary could do some good. I found it interesting what happened when I typed in the correct spelling of his name.
  2. Mark, Thanks. I appreciate what you've said. I miss you too. I never realized how huge shooting is in Michigan until I left. I joined a local club. They don't have USPSA or IDPA, but at least it's a close place to practice. I found six acres of land for sale. If things work out with my new job, I will be building a private range. On a positive note, Les Baer is moving to Iowa in four months- twenty minutes from my house. And my new gun room is rather large. Also, Brownells is in Iowa!! Doug, thank you for your offer to help me get going. I'll be in touch. Chris
  3. Well... I'm in Iowa now. Where the hell is Gary? I know. He's too good for us now- Mr. Big Time, Mr. Big Shot Revolver Master, Mr. "I'm #6 in the World"!!! Just remember, practicing with me hasn't hurt you any!!!!!!!! It must be scary for you now that I've moved away. What are you going to do now? You won't be able to watch me shoot a stage and know what is possible. Perhaps I could set up a stage, shoot it while being videotaped, e-mail it to you so you can study me in slow motion- so you can see everything and copy my moves. It will only work for awhile. Ultimately, to stay at the top, you're going to have to move to Iowa to be with me.
  4. Friendly teasing is good! I take it as well as I dish it out!! And I can dish it out..
  5. Gary is going to INDY to shoot this weekend. I can't wait for him to show up here so I can start my smack talk. I'm right in the middle of a move to Iowa, but I'll be back........... What are friends for anyway?????
  6. I just checked the website- Gary is now a MASTER. Congrats!!

    Check this one out.
  9. I remember reading here that a 50:50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and vinegar will do the trick. I haven't tried it. I don't clean my barrels anymore either.
  10. I guess a little mockery is in order after the statement I made. I wasn't trying to brag. I just think most people don't place enough emphasis on trigger control. A 0.13 - 0.15 second split in a match with good hits is plenty fast on close targets.
  11. So did I. In fact, I believe my success in shooting is in large part due to my ability to separate what my trigger finger is doing from the rest of my body. A (controlled) .09 second split time would be otherwise impossible.
  12. This has potential. Why not use IDPA or USPSA targets?
  13. OH NO YOU DIDN'T.......... You'll either respect me or fear me- I don't care which, but your ass is mine now Cuttitta! I'm going to give you a lesson. When I get done with you, you're going to need some therapy. You won't be able to look at your gun for three months. You're going to have nightmares about me. You're going to look at that trophy I made for you and realize it's the last one. You're going to start to wonder if the IPSC made some sort of calculation error. I'm going to come at you like a f#$cking pitbull- relentless!! You're going to hear my splits on the range and you'll know the sound of defeat. It's on now boy.......... Seriously, I love you man. I wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for you. I'm proud of you! What an awesome accomplishment!!!
  14. My concern is that the sear could be bounced past the half cock notch. I have seen this happen during a slam fire. I realize that there are several variables which could explain why a dropped gun can go bang. I just want to know if having a fully functional grip safety will make that less likely.
  15. Damn it Mark!!! You weren't supposed to bring that up.
  16. My concern is someone with a sub 2# trigger and a disabled grip safety. Am I the only one here that thinks this is dangerous (if the gun is dropped)? Edited to be less confrontational.
  17. That's not a range failure. Consider yourself lucky that you finsihed 2nd after shooting a stick.
  18. I taught Gary everything he knows so I'm proud of him. I have been working on Gary to buy a 625 for over a year. Finally he did it. He bought my IDPA gun so none of you faggots have a chance against him- the gun has my mojo in it. Seriously, congrats Gary! You're just proving what I've always known. You are the next Jerry Miculek!!!!!!!! I'll still whip your ass with my 1911- unless my back goes out or I'm on-call.
  19. Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the grip safety keeps the TRIGGER in a stationary position. I am not an expert on dropping loaded guns, but there is a local shooter here in Michigan that dropped a loaded gun recently. It went off twice- once down range and once UP RANGE. Yeah!! The gun sent a bullet towards the peanut gallery behind the firing line. I'll bet money his grip safety was disabled. I couldn't care less about the DQ. I think a lot of you are missing the point. Legal or not, disabling a safety feature on a handgun is a bad idea. You guys need to think for yourselves. Quoting rules in a rulebook doesn't make it safe just because some group of people at the USPSA said so.
  20. I can assure you that MichiganShootist (a.k.a Mark Walter) is not trying to single out IDPA. I believe the purpose of this thread is to prevent further statements such as the one I've just quoted.
