  1. The order rush begins... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  2. I have an older IPSC Standard (forerunner to the TS). I'm trying to figure out the dimensions of its bushing to verify if CGW's TS bushing will fit. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  3. After reading many of the posts on this and other sites over OAL and Primer sensitivities, I was curious about this question. I had ordered my pistol from CGW in December and received it in February. In between, I sought a viable source of commercial ammo. The attached PDF contains information on my most recent look at how selected sources of 9MM ammunition worked with my SP-01 pistol. I don't currently reload therefore, my reason for wanting to know. I was concerned about barrel fitment (plunk test), feeding and firing. I gathered some data online, ordered some samples, made some measurements and ran some life-fire tests before I bought a case. I was happy to find that the ammo I physically checked and tested all ran fine in my CZ with a stock barrel (it's a CGW Pro Package setup). Test Data for 9MM Ammo in CZ SP-01 20160307.pdf
  4. Just added the SP-01 to the competition tools...

  6. I've been considering one of those so, I'll give it to a go Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  7. My belt has worked great except for the Velcro belt keeper. The stitching has pulled out. I've been using a DA keeper till I have something else to order from them and can buy a replacement.
  8. I already had a Glock 34 and a FFIII so I acquired a mount from Strike Industries that uses the factory dovetail. I have not shot a match with it yet just dry and live fire practice. I shoot with both eyes open so that aspect was not to get used to. It defintely doesn't point like the stock G34 due to the FFIII height - that's been the most difficult adjustment.
  9. 180g FPs except Oakhill which were 180 JHPs Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  10. Mine runs their stuff along with Atlanta Arms and Oakhill with no issues. The Freedom loads tend to be a little inconsistent; running hotter than advertised. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  11. I put them on last night and will take her to the range next week. Very well made, excellent fitment . Like the relief around the magazine release!
  12. I have an older version of the Tactical Sport the “Standard IPSC”. The ambi Thumb safety appears to be different than the newer models that have a “D” shaped hole on the right-side lever. Mine has a small round hole. My question is can I use the newer “D” versions with my existing pistol or do I have to also replace other parts such as the ejector? I noted a crack in the right side lever at the sear spring notch while upgrading my trigger. Thanks in advance!
  13. Significantly jealous of your fine collection!
  14. I don't think you need upper body strength or strong hands to control a pistol. I think you just need to grip it right (hard, esp with the support hand) and at the right times. Anyone can do it, even 98 lb weaklings like me, so it's only self-limiting to make excuses. I'm 6-2, 168 lbs, 53 years old and do zero hand exercises and only enough presses and pullups so that my younger hotter wife isn't embarassed to appear with me in a swimsuit. If I grip the gun right, the sights don't even rise out of the a-zone at 7 yards. If I grip it crappy, they go all over. I find that bill drills and controlled pairs are helpful for me in confirming the things that are needed to grip right. I concur with the utility of the Bill Drill as a "test" and reinforcer of proper grip technique
  15. I shoot several pistols and at the extremes are a CZ Tactical Sport and a Glock 34. The TS weighs a lot and can be shot easily with moderate grip pressure; more emphasis on my weak hand. The Glock is very light and for me to shoot it well requires a lot more grip pressure and an effort to "lock" my elbows.
  16. Based on the images I don't believe they would fit a CZC magwell without modifications. I also noted that they use a fastener to secure them to the magazine which may be time-consuming to remove and replace for cleaning during competition events.
  17. Agree completely. The TF extensions will not work with this magwell until modified: 1) - reshaping extension and 2) - countersinking the screws on the retention plate/extension
  18. Like mine and the advise given on sizing is SPOT-ON. Only issue is my keeper - one of the Velcro patch came unstitched and had to be glued
  19. Here is the J+L thumb rest after removing the slide-stop segment and doing some reductions and polishing
  20. I had the same issue but, modified mine and have had no troubles since. I cut down the actual slide stop portion so it only as long as the frame is thick. I'll post a picture tomorrow. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. Very slight forward rotation - hardly perceivable I haven't shot the pistol yet to confirm that the slide won't hold open on an empty mag
  22. $90 with the return postage. As was said, you do donate a slide stop to be modified.
  23. Installed J and L Gunsmithing thumb rest
