  1. If the dates have to move I would ask for the later ones 23-25. As a school teacher my Feb vacation week has always coincided with Franks match so I have been able to go. If match is pushed earlier I, and others I know who teach, would not be able to come down as we are still working. The later dates are at least at the end of our 2007 vacation week so that would still work. Thanks.
  2. When shooting 40+ yds from a prone position with an open gun should you use a long stick and rest the basepad on the ground? Or use short stick and rest on elbows with gun not in contact with ground? Thanks.
  3. Difference between 771's and 773's? Aren't 773's the new model, better when used by doublestack mags? Recommendations?
  4. Looking into new mag pouches for my Open setup. Can anyone suggest the best mag pouches on the market now for STI mags and I would like them to fit on my current CR Speed belt. Considerations: speed of draw, secureness of mags while running, and adjustability. Thanks for the input, links to suggestions appreciated.
  5. My current supply of MPC's FP 10 is almost out. Can anyone point me to where they sell the 16 oz. refill bottles of it? Thanks.

    TEXAS STAR

You could also come up the road to GMPS in Morrisville, VT for a match. And don't forget the AWARE Invitational in August, great cause and a super match.

    TEXAS STAR

I will never forget......... 2 years ago my very first ever USPSA match (local). So, the newbie lets everyone know this is my first and they send me to a kind gentleman to help me through it. He walks me over to the first stage and helps me with the walkthrough. Guess what? LAMR, beep, and from the first box what do I have..........a Texas Star. First match shooting G34 in Production and I have to deal with a TS from the first beep. Jeez! Second TS story. Local match at S+W indoors this past Winter. One of the stages had 2 Texas Stars and they were back to back, literally lined up one directly behind the other. That was fun!
  8. Two words about Brazos.......... "The Best". I have both the Brazos Pro SC (full size) and the Brazos Pro SX (shorty) and they are both unbelievable guns. Work 100% every time out so now my only excuse is my own poor shooting! And, like others have said, Bob and Ingi are super people to deal with.
  9. I have 2 Brazos open guns and use 4756 in both of them. Full size Pro SC (8.8 grs) and "shorty" Pro SX (9.0 grs).
  10. Does anyone have Johnny's phone number? I went to his website to get it but it is "under construction". Thanks.
  11. Midway USA for bullets and brass: http://midwayusa.com/
  12. Looking to purchase a clamshell target to practice with. Can folks point me toward makers of these online somewhere? Feedback on quality of the ones you have? Many thanks.
  13. Benny, Which would you recommend?
  14. Just emailed STI about the Trigger Slick and they no longer sell it. Where else might I find it?
  15. What do Open shooters use for a really good sear/disconnector grease? Someone told me about Mccormick Trigger Slick but I can't find it for sale anywhere? Thanks for any information, I appreciate it.
  16. My friend is getting a new Open gun in 38 Super Comp. He presently loads on a 650 for 38 Super. When he switches does he keep the same setup, or does he need to get a different shell plate, locator buttons, etc. Can you let me know what he needs to do and I will pass it on. Thanks much.
  17. Does Manny have a website? Email address? Am VERY interested in taking class but have a couple of questions for him. Thanks.
  18. AWLAZS, Thought I would make the trip up North for it, great match!
  19. dillon, need your help. After having the casefeeder for a while I have only two small complaints: 1. The screw that holds the hopper in place on the support pole goes through just the plastic housing, it has stripped and the hopper now rotates a little on the pole. You can't tighten it anymore because the plastic won't hold the tightness so I have it held in place with duct tape. Should I take screw out, drill hole into metal pole and then use metal screw to hold firmly in the position I want? 2. A number of spent primers drop onto my table and floor rather than into the spent primer cup. It rotates on the cotterpin just fine and I have replaced the decapping pin so that is not the problem. Any solutions? Thanks.
  20. I use 4756 in 38 Super for two open guns: Brazos Pro SC (full size): 8.8 grs Brazos Pro Sx (shorty): 9.0 grs Even with the 9.0 grs I still have just under 1/8" left in the case. And, as AWLAZS says, don't sneeze! If using Dillon 550 be smooth in how you spin shellplate to next position.
  21. Funny guy! Actually just trying to recruit someone that might be able to beat you in a match!
  22. atek3, Looking forward to talking with you, give me a call at the phone number I emailed you. I live in Lebanon, NH, only about 6 miles to Hanover. IPSC not real big around here but I have a friend who shoots all the time with me and we travel to matches together. Would love another to join us. We practice at a nice little range in West Lebanon, NH. You should join: http://www.tpk.net/~graftonfg/ We are both members of Green Mountain Practical Shooters in Morrisville, VT. Really great bunch of folks and some pretty good shooters. Their website is at: http://www.gmps.ws/ I can fill you in on things when you call.
  23. Elye, Email sent about turner from R and R Racing. Glyn
  24. Thanks, but not the one I remember seeing. This one was a webpage that he had put together, you didn't have to have XL to use it. Found it!!!!!!!!! http://www.handloads.com/calc/loadingCosts.asp
  25. Somewhere, I thought it was here at BE, I saw a calculator that someone had put together that would give you the cost of your reloads when you entered prices for powder, brass, primers, and bullets bought in bulk. Did a search but not having any luck. Can someone steer me towards this? Thanks.
