  1. I use the iPhone app for dry fire and have a pact timer I use for live fire. I have to reset the app ever few minutes to pick up the sound of the shot.
  2. Ok so is my club membership good for me to sign up for the regionals? I went to the link and it wants me to sign up for semi pro.
  3. I went with a LNL last may and had problems right at the start. Not as bad as others but trouble none the less. My 9mm shell was out of spec and the brass would tilt and hit the die crushing the case. Hornady CS was great walked me through some testing and sent me a new shell plate. I still have the problem sometimes but nothing like the first plate. The biggest issue for me was every time I pull the handle I can see the bushings and dies move. I tried using a heaver o-ring but I could always see a lot of flex in the powder drop. It may be nothing but I can get over it. The bushing system seemed cool but I am not impressed with it at all. Also I don't get why it doesn't come with some kind of a case feed tube. Even the lee has a tube so you don't have to feed every case by hand(so I have been told). I know it's a small issue it just seemed lame that lee offers a nice feature that hornady skipped on. I never did spring for the case feeder. I just got a XL650 set up to replace the hornady and I wish I would have just went with it the first time. Really once you add the case feeder and the control panel to the hornady the price difference is not that big a deal to me. Over all the Dillon is a better fit for me. Which ever way you go I would suggest to just go ahead and get everything you want at once. Don't wait to add a case feeder or anything just get it all together and cry once. I never added a case feeder to the LNL because I was gonna have to pay more then I did for the press.
  4. This was a awesome match and anyone that missed it should be kicking themselves in the butt. I can not think of a better place for the money you raised to go to either. Thanks again for the work all you guys put in to make this match happen. Travis
  5. At one of the ranges I frequent I average 1 out of 3 pieces of 223 brass I pick up is crimped. It's out in the middle of nowhere. Another range about 45 minutes away I get about 10pcs per 1000 I pickup. Both are public ranges with no military tie in. I now sort out why needs extra work when I sort all my pick ups. I don't want to go through another 5g bucket of brass searching for crimps. I now have a bin labeled 223 and a 223C.
  6. I just picked up a 625 today. Thanks for this info I will be looking into the suggestion listed
  7. Thanks for the help. I thought it was just me but everyone I have let shoot it has pointed it out. I will be greasing it up this weekend and testing it out
  8. What is the best way to stop the vibration in the buffer spring? I have a rifle length buffer tube and it fells like its gonna shake a filling out of a tooth when I shoot this rifle now. I was planing on ordering a JP LMOS for it but wanted know if this would help the vibration? I seen a new buffer spring on JPs site that says it helps (about $20) and I also considered the silent capture spring. Is there something else out there I am overlooking? Thanks for the help. Travis
  9. This was it for me too. I spent 10 years playing paintball across the country and I think it has been a big help for me. I have also suggested it to a few shooters to try and most have said it helped. You gotta play against some good players so it forces you to run and gun.
  10. I was all about the JM Pro but I could never find one for close to retail. Local ships have had them on order almost a year and can't get one in. I went with the VM and I have loved it. I have been running a 28 inch barrel, but I sent a barrel to triangle and had it cut to 24 and should be back soon. Other then that just welded the lifter and added a carbon arms tube and it rocks. I have tried everything out there and the VM was it for me. I got to shoot a 1301 last month and I really liked it. It's far lighter then my VM setup. I ordered one with a 24 inch barrel to try out.
  11. My wife once called me while I was I six hours a way to tell me there was a snake on our back porch. She explains to be that it's coming after her and she can't get away. Suddenly she starts screaming " it's coming in the house." I told her to close the sliding door and it could get in. She then say "it can just push it open so I better lock it too." Yes dear lock the door that will keep the snake out for sure. She called my brother to drive 30 minutes to run it off cause she was afraid it would come after her again. She boiled eggs for Easter but only left them in for 2 minutes. There were some very unhappy people that found them eggs. The next year she boiled them longer. Whites were done by the yoke was not. The third year they asked her to buy plastic eggs.
  12. I have never thought of setting up 2 tool heads like that. Anyone do something like that on a 650?
  13. Shot my first match with a Khar PM40 with a 5 round mag. It was a intro to competitive shooting match and they had set the mag limit to 5 rounds. I bought a m&p9 as soon as the match was over haha
  14. Welcome to the boards. I am strongly considering upgrading to the 650 myself.
  15. Welcome to the forum. This place is filled with helpful info.
  16. That is awesome. I really need to start working on my rifle skills and try something like this.
  17. At a match a few weekends back I had a total brain fart and shot the no shoot. Was shooting targets behind a short wall 2 targets with a no shoot in between. Got to the wall shot my first target seen the black hands on the no shoot and my brain said hard cover. Centered the A zone and right between the hands haha. I didn't shoot the other no shoots just the first one. There was no hard cover on any of the stages it just popped in my head when I seen it I guess. Figured I would share so everyone could get a laugh.
  18. I would be in for it. I also know 5 people of the top of my head that would go that are not forum members.
  19. I got to shoot one yesterday at the Pro Am and I liked it over all. I didn't think that factory welded lifter compared to the c-rums weld job. I liked the rear dove tail sight that they have added for slug shots.
