  1. 147 work grest on my G34 with a stock barrel
  2. The Hornady headspace gauge works awesome and saves you money from having to buy multiple case gauges.
  3. From my 18" Nordic I averaged 3057 fps using 55gr Federal American Eagle Ammunition. I also have data on M193 in which it runs a bit faster.
  4. 147 gr RN Blue Bullets with Titegroup. They run awesome on my Glock 34
  5. Yes .2 grain off. I'm using Titegroup. I'm beginning a load so I have some loaded with 2.2, 2.4, & 2.6 according to the reloading manuals. I'll chrono and see what reliably cycles my pistol and using the lowest load.
  6. I just started loading .380. Nothing different from loading 9mm. The only thing I noticed is that I was not getting a consistent powder charge. It varied 2 grains at time using my 550. I loaded 3 different powder charges. I'm waiting to go to the range to chrono the loads and check the velocity.
  7. I found the Frankford Arsenal Case Prep Center at www.grabagun.com for under $145. You can't beat that!
  8. Alma: Out of an 18" Nordic barrel with a Miculek comp, my average fps for AE 55gr is 3057. Low 3036, max 3096
  9. I just used this app for the first time and it seems pretty useful. Thanks for a great shooting app.
  10. Ajg308: Which Dawson sights did you install? Glock rear sight? Front? What is the height of the front? Does it really matter on the Versamax?
  11. I had something similar happen to me a few years back. He took my money and did not deliver. Eventually he made things right but it took a few months. I would not purchase anything from the company anymore.
  12. MILS, I have used meters as units of measurement my entire career in the military, so it is easy for me to use.
  13. I have been reloading for about a year now and had the same question as you. I took the advice of other forum members and bought the latest Lyman manual. I learned a lot and gave me a starting point to begin to reload. I also ordered the Brian Enos competition basic to advanced reloading dvd and the Dillon 550 DVD. Both provided very useful information. I would recommend to start with one caliber and learn to reload before you move on to other calibers. Lastly, you can always search for answers on this forum, if you don't find the answer just ask. There plenty of people that are willing to help.
  14. The best thing going is the Issac Walton range in Stafford. You have your own controlled access. It's about $150 a year and have to have a member sponsor you. It's not that hard. They have at least a 100m rifle range, trap range, & 25m pistol. You won't find matches there but it's excellent to practice.
  15. I used the hornady sonic cleaning solution and it worked okay. Since then I've put the sonic cleaner away and started wet tumbling with better results.
  16. CCI & Winchester primers. I have not had any issues and run great on my 550.
  17. I was lucky to pick up 2 lbs.
  18. I prefer FFP. The reticle is not busy on my MK 8 while on 1x. It's really up to you. It took me some time on the range to fully appreciate FFP.
  19. I googled your Ryobi ear muffs and they seem a little bulky for shooting. Maybe try a different set of ear muff or try shifting your shooting position.
