Another stupid Q by the DB: After some searching and reading I have yet to find the complete answer. What targets are allowed in IPSC and are legal? Are only the targets allowed as per rules and may they be modified? Example: To make our last 2-gun a bit more interessting, I cut hole in the middle of PT's into which a standard orange clay target fit for a rifle stage - targets where then placed at 30m and 50m. Clays are legal and PT's as well - is the combo legal? I gathered that the texas star is legal - it's consistant and has standard size plates. May other combos and weird-and-wacky targets be used?

Do a search for the various speed holsters (CR speed, Safariland, Gost, etc) on the forum. A lot of discussion around with good advice and some personal comments. Tell your "friend" to buy you a new rig and give him the one he screwed up

I posted this in another thread - the quest for the perfect CoF/Shoot will continue: in the quest for the perfect shoot/stage - perfect challange, many options, easy to set up, all the mods and cons, nobody full score and everybody with a smile on their face while keeping with all rules and safety.........

Having read the whole thread, IMHO, the safest way seems to be to tilt the gun 90 deg CW, retract the slide and keep it back (locked???) in one smooth move. The round should hit the ground, statistically speaking, bullet first (more weight) and hence be safe (enough???). Slide should only be released upon RO command SFHD&H. If the round is loaded longer than usual it should drop through the grip. I don't want to see a rule on this, since it WILL complicate matters. I like the education approach and I really dislike the "eject and play catch" moves. Clean the round after pick-up, but let it kiss the ground!

And by about the third time I politely tell them what I think of them, their mothers, ancestors and the rest of their family and all their friends as well as the people who know them in such a way that the sea will not be able to wash them clean. It normally does the trick permanently. It seems the education I dish out helps them to either look up the correct nr and dial it very carefully The first two times around I am very polite and helpful - until I get the phone hung up on me, then the above kicks in.

Std Mags go for about for about US$150 for the Para and about US$100 for the S_I then add about US$40 for the +shoes. Randy if the money is a bit tight, go for a Para - mine has given me brilliant service. If you got a bit to spend look at the S_I range or I think it is SPS ?????? from Spain ???? - heard only good things of it around here.

I know many remove there guns in there and I have heard of one gun that landed inside one of the portable jobs. He removed the outer belt and since holster retention tests are not applicable.... - no, he was not DQ'ed and yes, according to the rules the RO must hand the gun to the shooter.....not nice And no, no-one may supervise! I think many break the rules in there and get away with it, but I am not going to police....

This is a bit of a stupid Q, but it was inspired by that see-through loo thread. May you acctually remove your gun when going....especially thinking of the portable units? Bag it in the safety area first? Allowed to remove gun when not seen? Please delete this thred if it doesn't fit in.

I can think of many uses for that thing, but going to the loo is not amongst the top ten. This thing is built to have some fun with....

I can add anything constructive - its all been said. Don't let a "bad" RO take away the fun you have in this game. Get to know the rules and stick to them. Big gun, small cat......Texan = Aussi??? This is scary!
