Fed up.  CHWPS screws once removed from a Holosun sight.  This is bulls#!t.  I've used their screws with both Vortex and Holosun sights and have had the same issues consistently with the provided screws.  Got to where I requested extra screws knowing they would strip.  Whether the plate is better or nor is immaterial;.  Going back to the Glock MOS plate and screws.  Not my first rodeo, I know the inch pounds and how to install, the whole nine yards.  Just cheap ass screws at a premium price.

As this is my "first" rodeo with CHPWS, I have literally pulled my hair out just trying to get an adapter plate for a G43X MOS mounting a HS407K.  One thing that sticks out for me reading this thread is I remember in one of the CHPWS instructional videos, he mentioned "special made", specific screws that are M4 with an M3 "head" in order to fit the 407/507k platform.

For my specific needs, would McMaster-Carr actually offer to the public an M4 Torx head screw with a M3 head?

Curious as to whether I need to research another source for screws I may need in the future.

    Thanks!

I was trying to locate one a bit closer since, after talking with the owner of Bore Sight Solutions, he shared that USPS shipping out of S Florida was "just awful"; and that I might want to look elsewhere if I was in a hurry.

The one I need for the G43X is out of stock at Ben Stoeger...............

i agree but i swear they released 4 classfiers right? or did i imagine that and they only released the 1?

I thought they released 4 new ones by this earlier post:

Or was this not the 4 your referring to?  Just noticed the post originated 2 years ago.........

Tried to order, out of stock. Honestly I'm about to give up ,i've had for over a year just got my mag release i ordered 7 months ago and the screw stripped immediately , and the second one is down due to this safety issue and nothing is ever in stock. Paper weights sitting in a safe.

Trust me............having jumped over to the CZ platform last year, I can definitely relate to your frustration when trying to order parts and most of the time they are unavailable.  Just a fact of owning a CZ.

You may want to touch base with CGW as they might have a good used one to get you going.  Their new part listing:

If cost is not an issue, then the Eric Grauffel link has plenty in stock.

If I had a spare, I would gladly send it to you to use till you received a new one.

    Good luck!

You are sure this is the correct 1? This 1 shows to be in stock and if it's correct i'll order it now.

Again it's description lists multiple pistols but not the Shadow 2.

Yes!  But if it makes you feel better, give CZ Custom a quick call.

I tend to load a couple thousand rounds at a time on my 1050s and the excess sizing from a U-die is very noticeable when cranking by hand.  And it significantly reduces the number of rounds I can load before I have to call it a day.   I use a Redding dual ring for .40 and standard carbide for 9 and 45.  And I get 100% pass rate on all those as well.  While the u-die does solve the setback and case gage problems many people encounter, it does so by overcorrecting and therefore isn't exactly an optimal solution.  For those who want to use a u-die, that's fine, but there are better alternatives out there.

Also using Redding Pro TC Sizing die for 9mm and having zero rejected rounds in the case gauge!  FWIW, I am using same headstamp processed, roll sized brass.

The U-Die sizes down .003:..........according to Redding, the pro sizer takes them down -.002".

So I bought a second powder measure for my 1100 so I can go from one powder to the other powder with out cleaning and reseting the drop ammount. Finally got around to getting the new one put on my machine and checking it before putting powder in and it's flaring the case more then my other one. A lot more. I'm using the MBF funnel. I thought I was able to just swap one for the other and it would be the same?

    Thanks,

    Josh

It was recommended to me, as others have confirmed with initial setup of dies, to load a dummy, sized piece of brass into the powder dropper/funnel assembly prior to final tightening of the powder measure to the powder die via the two-bolt collar.  The powder measure assembly does have a bit of vertical play prior to final tightening that can definitely affect the desired depth and amount of case flare.......

    🤔

  9. This was recommended to me a while back when I was experiencing the same issue..............from a friend who's an engineer at Redding:

    Quote

We’ve been hearing reports from folks that some pistol brass manufacturers have been sneaking small flash holes in their brass.  It sounds like that may have been what happened as it pinches the decap pin in the flash holes and pulls it out of the decap rod.  This makes removing the case from the shellholder difficult sometimes.

To combat this I’ve been recommending that folks try a small benchrest size decap pin.  This usually alleviates the issue.

I also inquired into really tightening down the pin retainer once I had the correct pin length protruding from the holder:

    Quote

With regard to tightening the button - feel free to grab onto the knurling with pliers for a little mechanical advantage - I would just caution you not to squeeze with all your might.  On this particular die the pin retainer doesn’t do anything but hold the pin so if you rub the black off of the part or flatten some of the knurling it will still function just fine.  The pins are tough little buggers........

Got a few of the slightly smaller benchrest pins, and they have eliminated any issues!

Has anyone seen the Shadow 2 Orange magazines (with the orange base pads) for sale?  It seems like the gun has been available for a long time without extra magazines being offered.  I know it's the same magazine as the standard but with an orange base pad.  But I know someone who only owns the Orange and would like all their magazines to match.

Since I wanted extra mags for my competition setup, I just put the OEM ones in the case for safe keeping and replaced them all with these:

After one season, they have held up great!  Very rugged!

The best way to truly test accuracy is by using a Ransom bench, at longer distances the S2 Orange should outpace the S2 with the 10X bushing.

I totally agree with chgofirefighter since I've had the opportunity to use a friends Ransom Rest!  We're currently utilizing the 20 yard distance since the optional 50 yard is a bit of a challenge to easily access.

As for now, the Orange is my first/only CZ pistol;  and I've never had the opportunity to shoot a stock Shadow 2...........

I have to confirm that this S2 Orange is one of the most accurate pistols, out of the box, that I have ever owned.  It shoots my Zero and Blue reloads very accurately; and even yields high accuracy with Federal box ammo!  Would be very interested in seeing similar results with a modded S2 if anyone has info to share!

Greetings all...I finally got my sweaty hands on an AO1 LD and got to shoot it along side my son's Tactical Sport Orange and I'm blown away with the 1.5Lb trigger in the TSO and am not so impressed with the +3.5lb single action trigger in the A01.

I was able to get the single action trigger down to 2.5lbs, but it still doesn't feel anything like the TSO's out of the box awesomeness.  When I used to bang on SIGs, I was able to get the single action triggers on DA/SA guns down at or under 2lbs, like the SAO SIGs, but I must be missing something here.

I don't have lots of experience with the CZs, but does anyone have any recommendations on how to get the trigger in the A01 closer to what the TSO is showing?

    Cheers!

  14. Went by Shooter's Connection yesterday and got to personally handle an A01-LD OR.  They have the blue finish and the hard chrome.  Have to say it is truly an awesome feeling pistol!  I would think shooting standard PF 9mm would feel like shooting 22lr!

SC claims the A01 is a specific platform that does not share grip frame/grips with any other CZ.  I had also asked the same to Stuart at CZC, and he replied:

    Quote

The ergonomics of the A01 is similar to other CZs. But the grip is its own design.

The grips are specific to the pistol.

    Thanks to everyone that replied!
