The fire control system in these 2 pistols are identical. Neither have the auto safety the rest of the K100’s have. The difference is in the top end. Adjustable sights, longer slide and barrel, multiple recoil spring options. I own an X-Trim, and have tore down an X-Cal. The safety and sear assembly are interchangeable. My Grand Power shoots fast. I'm getting 850fps with 2.8 grains at 1.150 with a 147 Blue Bullet. I just went to 1.140 to see if I can't gain just a little. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I picked up 11 power factor going to Blue Bullets from JHP. Had to back it way down! 3.2 grains was giving me about 860 avg with the blue bullets. My normal production load is 3.4 of Unique under a 147 JHP. It was about 860. I only switched to the Blue Bullets 147 RN, and it jumped to about 980. My favorite do all load of 5.3 gr of 800x under a 147? It would be too much for lead. I don't need that PF with what I do now anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

800x doesn't care for light loads in my experience. Put those 5.2gr behind a 147gr jhp in 9mm, you will be pleased with how clean it burns. Don't use it for bunny farts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For Major, you might also consider 3N37 and 3N38. Depends on your bullet and comp. 3N37 and 350 are basically the same, other than cut. From what I know,they are the same formula, 3N37 is just finer for rim fire applications.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anything that will help you train your brain which eye you are looking through will work, if combined with practice. Lightly quinting non dominant eye, a piece of scotch tape over the lens. I've even seen someone put a dot on the off lens with a marker. After a bit, you brain will adjust and will know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have zero use for a single stage press loading .40 on a 1050. If I was loading rifle or something maybe. I guess I am speaking from a reloader angle vs a shooter angle. If making your own ammo is a hobby as well, you will need a single stage. If your only reason to reload is to supply ammo to shoot in high volume, then you are a shooter and probably would not require a single stage. I do know from experience however, load development is much easier and less time consuming if you run a few through the single stage before you mess with your settings on the big machine. The usefulness of a single stage or a turret press will always be there. No reloading room is complete without it. Whether you use it to learn may be a personal thing, and does not diminish its usefulness even as you gain experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Plunk test is part of it. How the feed lips of the mag and its relationship to the barrel ramp also matter. And the barrel hood. I had a Gold Cup that wouldn't feed any SWC under 1.250. Ever.
