I have had my 8000 timer for 2 months now and have had nothing but praise for it...I love the BIG numbers. The ear plug for practice and dry fire is worth its weight.
Be warned that (when u drop it) and it fails to come on.. the manual is useless in helpfull hints
To make a long story short, the placement of the 9 volt battery makes the timer heavy on that corner (upon falling) the battery drives the metal contract strip in towards the center of the unit. The good news is nothing breaks,,,But u must use a small screw driver or knife blade and rebend the contact back before it will function again.
Otherwise just a upgraded beep should be offered as a service with there RF service...
