  1. And Mitch, I appreciate your review of the firing pins, very cool. Also nice to see an objective review of it. I try to stay factual and objective in my statements, but for outsiders it's good to see that I'm not just trying to make a sales pitch. Thanks.
  2. As far as I know... no news on Stock II here in the US. So Canada can have something to smile about...
  3. Tanfoglio makes both small and large frames. Most countries import the small frame for 9mm while EAA only import the large frames. That's why "EAA" pistols are large frame only, while rest of the world will experience both sizes. My personal preference is small frame if you're shooting 9mm only. The nice thing about the large frame is that you can "technically" convert any frame to any caliber. This is why EAA chose to only import the large frames and also to eliminate confusion with parts supply. Lots of parts are interchangeable between large and small frame. Parts that are not are: firing pins, trigger bar, magazines, slide. Everything else you can use for any frame.
  4. Hey Chuck I'll answer a few of your questions and then everyone else pitch in.. Mags; follow my guidelines and advice on upgrades for maximum capacity and performance. In my store you can find after market spring/follower, basepads and complete magazines. If you don't care about capacity, factory mag setups are fine. If you want 21 rounds in say your 40 S&W, then you absolutely have to follow the setup I'm using. This information should be on my store and tech section on my main website. Holsters; Ghost for Limited and G-Code for Stock/Match. Bladetech also makes a holster for the limited. Factory parts / after market parts and your one-stop shop; http://www.henningshootsguns.com/shop/eaa.elite.main.htm Information; http://www.henningshootsguns.com/tech/tech.disclaimer.html Gunsmiths; Canyon Creek Custom or EGW (Evolution Gun Works). I am sure there are others and if you are a gunsmith working on EAA pistols then please make it known or contact me by email and tell me about yourself. I've worked with both Canyon Creek and EGW so I know they know the guns well. Limited vs Match vs Stock; very different guns built on the same concept / frame. 1) Limited is the ultimate limited class pistol with long slide, bull barrel, adjustable rear sight, big magwell, heavy checkering. Handles very well. 2) Match is the budget choice that kicks ass. Not too far off from the Limited it has a slightly lighter slide, a straight barrel, no magwell, lighter checkering. It really isn't far off from the Limited performance wise and about half the price. Also legal for IDPA in ESP. 3) Stock is slightly shorter then the Limited/Match (about 0.400" if I remember correctly), still has a bull barrel, a very nice checkering, no mag well. Current models doesn't have the super sight, but a 3-dot sight. You'll find supersights on older models, even last years. Created for IPSC production class. And in general, if you have any questions you can't get answered, this forum is always happy to assist. You can also contact me through my website on email or give me a call. Email & phone available on my homesite.

    EAA Stock

No they are not. My X-Long Firing Pins are made by a different company unaffiliated with EGW. The pins are made to my specifications. They fit just sub-flush with the breech face, are 33% lighter than the factory, made of 420 stainless and hardened to RC 55. I made them so that they can be dropped-in, no fitting required and elimination of light strikes even with the lightest hammer springs. Pretty cool.
  6. will have a good time before the match, during the match and after the match... he he Staying with Brian in Tempe so looking forward to the whole experience of being back in Arizona. This is the best time of the year, shoot one of the best - absolutely best - matches there is... hang with my best friend and see friends at the match. What else is there... ;-)))) If you can.. sign up for area 2 next year. It's unbelievable.. and arizona in november.... no brainer.. ;-)
  7. if you're struggling I can always translate... he he but he's writing the important stuff in English
  8. I probably do, give me a call at (720) 352 1080. Keyholing is pretty rare to me so let's talk through everything before jumping to conclusions.
  9. I've got a Stock 9mm (in stock) that I'm going to trick out to the extent it can be and still be production legal. The Stock is truly a nice piece of machinery and I think you'll be very happy with it. Check back with me after Area 2 and I'll have a trick gun available.
  10. Hey Mitch, Thanks for bringing this up. After your buddy had problems it dawned on me that this should be covered on my Tech forum. Okay, so here's the deal. Once I make it to Phoenix and am finished shooting the Area 2 - Desert Classic I'm going to be spending a week at Brian's house to chill out. Well, that'll give me lots of free time and I'm going to be writing up articles, especially 6-7 match articles that I've got pictures and videos from and now finally can relax to write about. It's been a great year full of good matches, but also busy with my online shop. So... look for match articles in the week after Area 2, I'll be keyboarding.. ;-)
  11. My good friend, Christian Wilda from Germany is coming over to shoot the Desert Classic and he will be doing a day-by-day report of the match on his website. For those of you who are interested to see what's going on, check it out on: http://www.christianwilda.de/usarea2/usarea2.htm. I've known Christian since we shot together in Europe sometime in the late 90's. He's a very good open shooter and will give everyone a run for it at Area 2. Christian and I also shot on the same squad at the European Championship this year and had a great time. Christian is sponsored by Caspian who also sponsors the match. ;-) Henning
  12. Nice pics Mitch. That's the EGW Hammer; see article: Ultimate Trigger Job
  13. I'll be out of town from Wednesday 7th until Sunday 18th for US Area 2 - Desert Classic. Planning on spending a week in Tempe, Arizona after the match. Since I used to live there I have a weakness for it.. I willbe available online through emails and via my cell (720) 352 1080. If there's something you need to get shipped out before I leave make sure to email or call me by Monday or Tuesday and I'll take care of it. Area 2 is one of the best matches of the year.. looking forward to whatever they've cooked up for us this year. Expect to find me at Casey Moore's in the evenings at 9th & Ash in Tempe if you're ready for some good food and good times in the evenings and after the match. ;-)
  14. Very cool, con grats to new owners... If you have any questions, make sure to check out my Tech Section on my website and if that doesn't satisfy you just give me a call. I'll help out answering any questions you may have.
  15. If you're looking for a Limited 40 contact www.canyoncreekcustom.com EGW Hammer & Sear; 2.5 - 3# trigger pull EGW Long Firing Pin EGW Slide Pin For more details on what's done to the gun, pricing etc, contact Rich.
  16. Here's a few videos: Mark driving through "Mickey's Hot Tub" Matt trying to get out of the tub, but has to admit defeat... good luck he had a life-line... so to speak Mark on something different...
  17. Sorry to say none of them are. It was my first time and Ken invited me to go along with his buddies that go several times every year. I had an unbelievable good time so I am starting to look into building a Jeep now... and my buddy Jason works at High Country 4x4 in Denver (who also shoots IPSC of course) so we'll see what we can come up with for a setup for next year.
  18. So I went to Moab this weekend with my buddy Ken who I also shoot IPSC with locally here in Denver.
  19. EAA only sell large frames any more and so if you order a .22 conversion you'll get one for the large frame. The 38/45 is the old "large frame" clue as these calibers were never available in the small frame. If you want you can order it through me as well. It's not on my site, but just email me or call me at (720) 352 1080. Conversion kits are about to be available on my site. Have a great weekend (btw I am available on phone through weekends)
  20. The sights would work for Stock and Stock II as well; all front dovetail cuts.
  21. A better front sight is definitely been in a planning stage for awhile. Bob Londrigan's MicroDot sight for 1911 is one of my absolute favorites and Bob and I've talked about making one similar to it for the EAA front dovetails. Give Bob a few more months to work it out and we'll probably have one. If not other FOS sights will probably show up early next year. I'm determined to make a good and small front fiber sight.
  22. I've had 21 round magazines available for quite a while, but I just recently created a newer, bigger magazine pad and after modifying the magazine body you can right off the bat reload to 21 rounds. It's with the newest H-141 pad. Rich has a few Limited's in stock that he has done trigger jobs on so I recommend giving him a call if you're ready to make the gun purchase.
