  1. Do any of these trigger jobs shorten the reset or at least get rid of the 2 point reset?
  2. I have the limcat barrel in my limited gun. STI long dust cover and tungsten guide rod, standard slide ( not full profile). This is way to heavy!! I would much rather have the standard bull barrel.
  3. Try PetSmart or other local pet stores. Look at the birdcage lining for crushed walnut shells. They work great and are cheaper. You can also find the corn there but I just use the walnut.
  4. I found out it was not legal in IDPA so I removed it and went back to a 10 lb IMSI recoil spring. A dual spring set-up similar to the recoil master is legal in IDPA as long as it is not called recoil anything.
  5. I have seen many pic's of the Dillon case feeders with large metal plates attached to the right hand side. Mine is blue plastic all the way around. What is the metal plate for? Do I need one? Thanks Charles
  6. Does anyone else full length size the cases by pushing them completely through the sizing die? I just started doing this and all of the bras now checks through the gauge built first as well as base first. The only brass that does not size well this way is S&B it comes out oval instead of round.
  7. Does anyone run a shock buff with their recoil master? Thanks
  8. Does anyone make prescription shooting glasses that have the single wrap around lens? I need a mild prescription but want large lenses to keep the blast from causing me to blink. Any thoughts or websites would be helpful. Thanks Charles
  9. I found this link from someone on Matt Burkett's page. When I read about these to programs I got very interested. Check it out at http://www.healthforlife.com/ The programs are called Explosive power and Beyond Speed. They seem like they would be perfect for what we do. If you have any experience with this company or these programs please let me know before I order it. Thanks Charles
  10. Hawk Roosting I sit in the top of the wood, my eyes closed. Inaction, no falsifying dream Between my hooked head and hooked feet: Or in sleep rehearse perfect kills and eat. The convenience of the high trees! The air's buoyancy and the sun's ray Are of advantage to me; And the earth's face upward for my inspection. My feet are locked upon the rough bark. It took the whole of Creation To produce my foot, my each feather: Now I hold Creation in my foot Or fly up, and revolve it all slowly - I kill where I please because it is all mine. There is no sophistry in my body: My manners are tearing off heads - The allotment of death. For the one path of my flight is direct Through the bones of the living. No arguments assert my right: The sun is behind me. Nothing has changed since I began. My eye has permitted no change. I am going to keep things like this. -- Ted Hughes
  11. Bill, if you start shooting a 45 in IDPA I am going to be in big trouble. You allready beat most people with your revolver.
  12. A freind had the same set-up as you. tried it in the box did not fit. If you could just shave a bit from the sides the lid would close.
  13. TDean I live near youngstown. If you will be here for a weekend drop me a line and I will let you know what matches are going on. Charles
  14. Thanks Flex that was not the specific thread I was looking for but very informative. Maybe I read about the drill on another site but it seemed to usefull to be anywhere other than here.
  15. I remember seeing a drill that had you run at full speed at targets and engage them as you pass. If anyone remebbers this drill please repost it. I was unable to find it again. Thanks Charles
  16. I was just shown this exercise a week ago so I don’t know how well it works but it is worth a try. Take a can of soup in one hand, hold it in front of you and roll your wrist slowly up then completely down. It should be about 180-degree movement. This works both the muscles in the top of you forearm as well as the bottom. Hey it does not cost anything but a can of soup to try it. HTH
  17. charge The post sounded much better in my mind. I just reread it and it did not sound like I had originally intended. I hope it made some sense to somebody other than me. (Edited by charles at 8:34 pm on May 23, 2002)
  18. I think a light color would be a good idea for the hot sun. I am also willing to preorder.

    What to read?

There is a "Idiots guide to Zen living" it was my first Zen book read this winter. I don’t think it was an easy read but that may just be because I was trying to grasp all of these new concepts.
  20. I feel your pain! This past weekend I shot the idpa N.E. Championship, was on the way to a great match when on the second to last stage I got hit with 3 procedurals and lost three of my highest point hits. I swear I did not hear the RO say limited vickers no makeup shots. Oh well. Charles
  21. Try this ... http://www.kuci.org/~dany/firearms/all_drills.html (Edited by charles at 1:02 am on April 25, 2002)
  22. I'll be there. I agree that $70 is a bit much but that seams to be the going rate for most of the state shoots.
  23. Sorry it took so long to get back with everyone. I do realize that I should have shot the gun before modifying it. I got it below wholesale but it came with a rifled slug barrel. I traded the barrel for a vent rib and could not resist the ergs to start chopping away. Thanks for the info on the gas ports. I thought I was crazy when I bought a few drills in the .07-.08 range and they slid right in the holes. The gun currently has factory size gas ports and runs light loads sporadically, sometimes it will feed everyone out of the tube and then the next time won't eject the shell. Possibly ammo? Anyhow if I have time this week I will bring the barrel into the store and find out what drills are close to the original size and work from there. Thanks for the help. Charles
