  1. There's a guy selling a Matt DelFatti rig on the 1911 forum.. You could NOT find a nicer rig than that... P7M8 and ...psp will fit.. Pretty sure Blade Tech and others will make you kydex for it..
  2. Thanks.. I didn't realize Dillon still had a round counter although I honestly never looked.. I saw an older Dillon on eBay a while back..
  3. No, I use mixed brass that I get from a local indoor range; I would say nearly all once fired, 'mostly PMC .40 that they sell there in the store for range use.. A little Federal and Winny occasionally mixed in.. I haven't been using case lube though, I just use a dab of Dillon polish in my media. I didn't think anything was sharp inside the dies to cause this though, so.. Maybe it's "Sloughing off" from lack of lube?
  4. Thanks allot.! Truth is, the counts not a BIG deal for me either, but I DO like to tinker.! Lol.!
  5. Sarge was right, I just bent the counter arm and polished the edge and it simply advances each time the press bottoms.. You have to make a slight bend though so you get enough clearance and don't crush the counter.. It's fairly durable, but the press will smash it easily if not located and adjusted correctly.. Sarge, the counts not too big a thing for me either, but I DO like to tinker..! Lol
  6. The Edge CRP..! Or, what I recently did.. Get a bushing barreled Eagle so you can use it for USPSA Limited OR IDPA, ESP class..
  7. I get a small/ fair amount of shavings of brass on the plate of my 650.. I am using all Dillon Dies and loading .40sw @ 1.185 OAL. Is it normal, or what's the cause and what shall I do about it.?!?
  8. This one was under $8.00; Tally counter from Amazon for $5.70 shipped and a piece of 1.25" Scrap Angle Aluminum... Took a bit of time to find a good location, but now you see where that is..
  9. I just spoke w/ them and they have nothing scheduled at this time.. Hanna said they hope to have matches set up in the months to follow..; Apparently, they are on the Alabama State line..
  10. Enjoy it and welcome aboard.. 'Come down sometime & shoot USPSA w/ us at the Palmetto Gun Club in Summerville, SC.. Palmetto Gun Club A bunch of us go up often from the Savannah, GA. area. Eric H.
  11. You got it! Success! By pressing against the sear with a small screwdriver up the magwell, and pressing the safety upwards hard, I was able to make it work with the hammer at half cock. No further butchery required. Thanks. I'm glad you got it.. Did it teach you a new language..?!?
  12. Actually, I believe there'd be more play/ room at "Half-Cock" then follow suggestion #2.. What type ambi-safety is it? Some are removed 1st from the right, and some 1st from the left.. It sounds as though it's already been forced together, you will need to force it apart..; 1911's don't really have "Drop-In" interchange-ability for the most part and are pretty closely fitted...
  13. My Eagle is back and looks & operates incredible now..!!
  14. So.. I did my 'lil "Powder Check Light", got my scrap primer's taken care of a few days ago and also did an under $8.00 loaded round counter... The counter took a bit of trial & error, but now is correct and works great w/ no snags!!
  15. I did exactly the same thing.. Works fine and is inexpensive..
  16. hdgun and HoMie..! Thanks guys, I am gonna cut it down to a touch under that and borrow a box..!! Thanks very much..!! I'll still need to see about the angle on the front or not...
  17. I have an STI Eagle and an STI Double Stack factory stainless magwell that I'd like to mill so it'll work for IDPA w/ no question.. Anyone know the width dimension I need to take it to? Thanks all, Email me
  18. Wow man..! SO glad you survived it..!! I had a doozer in '86 w/ my freshly restored '63 Police Special... I waited 18 full years before I thought I'd try riding again and bought a used Road King. I rode it 3 weekends in a row from Savannah to Beaufort, SC. and adjoining area's, nearly got nailed on each of the 3 weekends, and sold the bike the following Monday after the last close call... I miss riding, but not the endless uncertainty and such associated with it... 'Glad you had on your helmet and "Fancy Pants".! Lol.! Be safe and learn from it..! Recover well bud..!! Eric!
  19. Wow.! Bud... I gotta tell you... "I am DEEPLY touched" that you would go SO far as to do that for ME..!! This: For this..?!?: ('HAS to be a TWO Tone JUST like THIS one..!! Okay..?!?) Thanks Brother, I will see YOU next MONTH..!! Eric!
  20. Yes I do I come up there fairly often for uspsa with the savannah georgia gang.! I drive a tan Ford Explorer Sport-Trac with a black toolbox on the back.. You do too don't you? We should shoot together next time if we haven't already.. BTW - I went and did as you said and "Viola..!" It worked..! Now though, I had some radical variations.. Weather was very over-cast and 53F. temp. 4.30PM today. (I fired 10 rnds. 1st, to warm up the gun); 5.0 Eagle w/ Bushing, STI Factory Barrel. Loaded w/ a Dillon XL650 w/ the "Fix" installed (Does NOT "Fix" the snap very well I'm afraid..) is a 180gr., Jacketed, Truncated, Flat Points @ 1.185 OAL & 4.9gr. of V.V., N320 w/ cleaned, mixed cases mostly PMC's w/ a couple other makers mixed in... Results: (Pretty vast variations I believe... ) FPS's..: 1.) 862.4 - 6.) 940.2 2.) 914.2 - 7.) 938.9 3.) 951.7 - 8.) 920.5 4.) 892.2 - 9.) 903.7 5.) 915.6 - 10.) 941.7 I suppose it's got to do w/ the temp. and shade, but it seems these were not too consistent... Opinion's anyone..?!?
  21. I have seen these screens, but.. Well, I never had it beep or give me a record in review.. Thanks allot, I'm gonna go try and go do it now.. I hope it's not too overcast today; Does it have to be sunny, it's pretty rainy here today..
  22. Sounds great.. I power up the chrono, get it all set up making sure my leads are set up w/ the closest lead to "Start"... Then no matter what I have tried thus far, I get no further.. I am not using it for a shot timer now, so am only concerned w/ the chrono.. I am trying to develop & check my .40 major load, so really need to do this thang..! No amount of guessing my next input commands has gotten me to where can see my single shot speed OR my 10 shot average at all...
  23. Hi all, I have searched high and low and cannot get hands on a set of directions for my Pact Mark IV Championship Chrono/ Timer (NOT the newer XP Model..) and I'd really appreciate it if someone here could email me a full set of directions? I have seen this issue discussed here on benos but not the resolution.. 'Really need the Chrono directions more than the timer for certain.. My email addy I DID call PACT weeks ago asking for a set as non are available for download and was told they'd send me a set right away... Wow... Our Postal System MUST REALLY be in TROUBLE if it takes THIS long, Huh..?!? PACT certainly didn't seem real interested in lending a hand to resolve my issue; actually seemed annoyed w/ the call.. Anyway.. Thanks for any assistance, I really need to clock my .40sw Majors to see that they are correct.! Eric
  24. Well.. I got the Eagle back from refinishing yesterday.. Beautiful application, but they missed a few of the appointments, so parts will be going back this week.. Grr.. Smart Phone pics don't give it justice.. I had brushed & matte HC Radii done, w/ polished flat on the slide, polished barrel, grip safety (Didn't happen yet..) and thumb controls.... The other things that should be (will be soon!) polished are the mag release, guide rod & magwell.. I had the Koenig hammer deep blued and this looks awesome..! So.. As good as it looks thus far... I can barely rack the slide now... The sharp edge's of the slide cocking serrations are pretty much gone.. It's going back tomorrow morning... CR_P..!!!
