Hey Paul,Steel lloads for me are Between 140 to 150 pf. I like useing slow powders cause it still makes the comp work. For some reason fast powders are not accurate. Maybe cause it builds pressure too fast and makes the bullet jump.At the PFs mentioned abouve the gun still runs real flat.

The Picture of the 625 w/C-More has a ported barrel. For use with bowling pin loads is very easy on the hands. I use a 255gr lswc with 4,7gr win 231. ICORE load is 200gr FMJ West Coast with 4.0 IMR 700x. very flat in this gun. By the way, this gun was built by TK Custom.

S&W M625--AHHH! The back bone of any Revo collection. My 625 is set up with SDM FO front site and a Millet rear,a nice pair of Houge wood finger groove grips. Very nice wheel guns Sensei. Keep the pics comming guys!

The gun started as a stock 38 super. Pinnacle performance in Pa. did the barrel work. It is a 5.5" 1" bull with three hole integrall comp. I had Mark at Pinnacle etch the sides of the barrel to simulate the cocking serrations of a 1911 and put his brand on as well. He also did a custom extended cylinder reliese I will try to get some more detail pics up. Trigger is polished and thinned with about 6.5" pull. Very smooth.she groups about 1.5"@25yards.

If that is all is suposed to do, Is it worth the agrivation? I am just asking. I have a couple of older C- More scopes that are not quite as bright as i would like.(outdoors) Would a glare sheild help?

What exactly does this glare sheild suposed to do?

This budget gun that John(Mad Scientist) speaks of is of course mine. It shoots almost as flat as my STI and Caspian open guns. Don't let the size and weight of it fool you. It's fast on the transitions and splits are right on. At 15 yards the dot rises about an inch or two. The pain staking grip work that John does is top notch and is extreamly affective. I have got some strange looks from people,They ask"what the f$%K is that" then I let them shoot it. The tone changes quickly. I can't say enough about John and the work that he has done for me. I will say, If you are going to try to build an open Glock,don't bother,just send it to John.

I had a first Generation Holosite on my 617. Found it way too top heavy. I went with a C-more instead. Don't even notice it's on the gun. (weight wize)

Like I had mentioned I built the gun to shoot minor for steel. I did not know the modified guns had to be 40 or larger. Not that it makes a real differance, I was just playing with the idea to shoot major open USPSA. I might shoot minor anyway! I'LL SHOW THEM! Seriously Thank you guys for all this info. Shoot fast reload often.

I load for super now but, Its for a full size Caspian 5" gun with 7 port comp. I was just wondering if there were any particular powder/bullet cominations out there for a gun with very little poting. I see the Modified guns the use in IPSC to fit in the box. They must be a bitch to handle with major load.

Can anybody give some loads that they use in the modified div. IPSC. for 38 super.I built an STI very close to a modified gun. 5" 4 port hybrid no comp. used it for steel shooting. I have been playing with the idea of shooting Open Div USPSA just for the hell of it. Thanks, John

Look in your loading book under 38 S&W. the cases are very similar, the 38S&W has a thicker web at the bottom of the case so be very carefull when working on the load. I was using 4.5 Unique with 147gr west coast bullet sized .357" I thought the short colt load was a little iffy, my cases started showing signs of case failer. I actually went with 38 Long colt. It's about a tenth of an inch shorter than a special case and about the same longer than a 38 super case. the load for tha is 4.0gr titegroup with 147gr west coast sized .357" that about 130pf out of my 5" PC627. good luck, John

Steve, I put an Optima 2000 on my 17 with a KKM barrel and comp. I had no problems with the Optima exept for, Brass hitting the sight. (Bad ejecter) But the sight held up just fine. Never lost zero in changing batteries or any other problems with it. Good luck, John

Tokarev, I put together just what you are talking about. I did a Springfield frame SAmainspring housing/w magwell, Caspian unmarked slide.Aristacrat 3position rear site and front blade to match,Kart bushing barrel and a #12 recoil spring and nothing special about the trigger group. I use Metal form Mags and they work great. 124gr-MG 4.0gr titegroup. Good luck with your project.

I use 4.5gr Win. 231 w/155 west coast and rainier bullets. I use it as a steel load, about 130pf out off my Caspian Fantom limited forty. Also use it in a STI 5" bull barrel. You would think the gun just goes click instead of bang! Very poofy. Just my 2 cents.
