We have five clubs in our area, every club except one get score out in a few days and somtimes by that night. Every club except one will fix mistakes with out problems this one club will not return an EMail. I really can go on and on, I probibly should have made it a little more clear in the beginning. At this point I will not shoot this club in the future.
  3. I thought this was a place to vent.
  4. To be honest, I dont think I have ever bought a box of factory stuff in my life. I have always reloaded. O K, I guess my next question would be is: Which one is closest to 165-170PF?
  5. has any one done any chrono work with factory 45cal in a revo 4" or 5" Looking for a factory major load for 625 revo. shooting indoor matches with lead kinda sucks. I really dont want to buy componants to load, I have a 610 comming real soon so I might go 40 for the season.
  6. I was speeking with 10mmDave on the phone. He thought I said the Hearthco clips sucked. I must Clarify, It was the S&W clips I was refering to. Trying to quit, not being to sucsesfull though. What do you have in mind Dave? You ain't getting my IRC gun!!!!!
  7. Hdgun, What brass?? Dave 10MMDave nailed it, Win white box. I also tied some Fed and R-P. they all Sucked!! I figured why try to reinvent the wheel, just stick with the super. I believe the clips I have are Hearthco
  8. Dave, I found the original clips suck!! They hold the round too tight. even with super they suck. I use them only when test firing a new load cause they are easy to uload. no need for a moon stripper.
  9. So far great minds think alike.
  10. To be honest, When installing an extractor in any gun I have worked on (my guns), I have done the same. Not really knowing if it was right or wrong, But it does work. Just wanted to get a pro's opinion.
  11. This is for a friend, He has a SV with all the toys, bells and wistles. including AET barrel. He tells me,when putting in a new Aftec the tip of the extractor hits the barrel and will not go full into battery. So does he trim the tip of the extractor or do you relieve the barrel to acomidate or a combination of the two. Please, He needs help. Thanks for any input.
  12. Ok guys, I am seriously thinking of buying a 327 5". But I am relucktant (spelling ). Has anyone out there shot one of these things? Is it too light? I need input
  13. Same happened to me, 4" 625 Jerry M PC gun. The situation was the same as Carmoney. Bang Bang Bang Click click click. Thought the same as Carmoney, Broken hand. Well the match I was shooting was a winter match at The Smith&Wesson Acadomy in Spingfield, Ma. Well, I hunted down the armeror and he gave me a new 625 to finish the match with. He Said I will have a look, come see me at the end of the match. No more than 45 minutes later, he finds me and gives me my 625 back and says all set. He fixed my gun which was a worn cylinder stop. How much do I owe, He says have a nice day and enjoy the match. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
  14. Big Daddy, I have been doing for about a year now. It is definatelly an option. The only thing is you have got to call your shots a little better than shooting major. A few D hits will cost you big time. The long field courses with say 24-30 rounds you can get away with a D and a few Cs. But shoot a Classifier and drop a D and a couple of Cs, You screwed. You have to shoot As almost all the time. Good Luck
  15. Just be carefull not to chamfer the cylinder too much, if done too much you will not be able to shoot the gun with out moon clips. The round will sit too deep and will incure missfires.
  16. There should be no problem making major, but if I'm not mistaken you had asked if there would be a problem using a 40 slide for 38 super. The answer in MHO is no problem, I have been doing it for years without a single hickup.
  17. I have a couple of older Para s with the original mags. I use a Smith Alexander mag well with Grams base pads. I also have a couple with Dawson pads. They have worked fine for years. BTW: I also live in the state that you speak.
  18. There's a distinguished forum member here who mooncliped his 586 with a dremel tool blink.gif so anythings possible! (and man was i stretching it with that word "distinguished") Thanks for the compliment Dave, BTW: you suck too!!! What Dave says is true, I did my first and second with a dremel. It wasnt hard to do. I wont expain how I did it, but it works just fine. With or with out the clips.
  19. Sent him an E Mail, Waiting to hear from him
  20. I am comming to the masses, do any of you guys remember when Weigand offered this modification? Well I have a 4" barrel on my 686+. I am looking for a 6", does any one out there have one sitting in a drawer or shelf.
  21. hdgun, do you feed your 38 super major loads? I have put a few matches through the gun with major loads. I use this gun for a steel gun mostly. 135-140 PF. gun runs great. Caspian 38 super Caspian wide body frame 5" 6 port hybrid only (no comp) Optima 2000 9.3 HS6 with 124fmj And like 10mm Dave said, It is LOUD
  22. I would not sell the slide, I have Two guns I use with a 40 slide. One has a 38 super barrel and the other is 9mm. They work flowless. the differance between the 40 and 9/38 is only 15k. All you have to do is tighten up on the extractor a little more than usual. I have read some where on the threads that Benny Hill has done this as well.
  23. There is nothing I love more than to see people shoot the best game in town. Thanks to Sharyn, These vids are Great!
