  1. I'm seeing all of these high numbers and am starting to get worried since I haven't gotten a response yet...
  2. My guess is that the number after the "." is the number of the slot you received after the registration opened. It probably won't correlate to your actual shooter number because it will likely be a combination of both pro and am.
  3. I used to have to sign up for classes college like this (racing against the entire school). This wasn't nerve-wracking at all in comparison
  4. Rob/Chad, This is Rick Birdsall. I just sent an e-mail to you both. Please take a look at it and give me your thoughts. Thanks, -Rick
  5. You're right. I hit the wrong link in a previous post. Disregard my question. How do we sign up for one series or another? I'm sure there will be a form somewhere.
  6. The semi-pro series has this note: 3. A competitor’s score may come from any division (excluding Pro-Am Pro division). This will significantly effect the choices that are made at registration next week. Can we get some clarification on this???
  7. If you are talking about The Mayor, then yes, it was based on his good looks.
  8. I finished 9th in the 2011 Pro-Am and did not receive an invitation. Never expected one anyways lol. Still need quite a bit of practice to come up to that level.
  9. I have mixed feelings about this at the moment, but I see how it can be beneficial to the sport in the future. I will feel much better once the method for qualifying into the top 64 is laid out for future seasons. The great part about our sport is that it doesn't matter who you know, you still have to perform after the buzzer sounds. My only fear is that it could become political as far as who gets in and who does not. As long as the top 64 shooters are, in fact, the best 64 shooters in the nation, it will be fine. The purity of the sport will be degraded if sponsors are allowed to purchase slots for particular shooters. If we are going to represent our sport on national TV, we need to do so with the best we have to offer. Now, I don't want people to think that I am complaining, because I am not. I am simply expressing my thoughts on the matter. I am excited for the opportunity to enhance my skills to the level of the elite 64 shooters. Not saying it will happen, but it's certainly motivating
  10. I just sent you an e-mail to the new address. Thanks guys, for all your help!
  11. My brother just moved out to the Silicon Valley area and I was hoping to use this match as an excuse to see his place lol. The problem is that it seems to have filled up very fast. I tried to e-mail the person on the gun club's website to inquire about availability but the e-mail listed on the sight was not a valid address. Is there any way I can get a spot in this match? Please let me know as soon as possible, as I have to order plane tickets in advance. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for all your help!
  12. Yea, my app is already in for CMMG. I thought this was going to be in late June. Too bad it can't be a week earlier so the matches don't overlap. Looks like it's going to be a great time!
  13. Just read thru the division requirements for this match. In the Standard Division, according to rule 6.1.3 "Box-fed magazine shotguns that meet these restrictions may be used in this division." That doesn't seem like it should be allowed in Standard Division. What is the reasoning behind this?? IMHO, Saiga-type firearms belong in the Open Division.
  14. Count me in!! Should be fun, like last year! Are there going to be MMA fights at night again this year?
  15. Better alert the Edmonson Co. Sheriff Dept. that Trapper will be back in the area. As long as he doesn't wear that green shirt again, he should be fine...
  16. I would like to re-open this thread, since there aren't any responses. Does anyone have experience with this optic or have any reticle photos?
  17. Here's a stupid question, but I thought of it so others probably have as well: Do we need to print the match booklet out on our own or will there be a copy in our shooters bag at registration? I assume you'll have one for us but don't want to get there and not have one.
  18. Submitted my application today (via e-mail & snail mail). Hopefully it'll get there in time to make it into a squad, now that some spots have opened up. Any idea of the number of spots that recently became available? Just curios about my odds...
  19. Had to make it the same weekend as the Ozark Match... What are your thoughts on doing a fall/winter shotgun match?
  20. That's too bad man. I have heard of that happening to other people before, but have never seen it. It looks like your pistol grip hit the edge of the barrel...
  21. Yea. Chip, Eddy, and I are going down there. We didn't know what the guidelines were for Pro vs. Am, so we chose Am. After talking with some of the guys down at the CMMG match, we should have chosen Pro. Oh well, live and learn. I guess that just means that we better do well lol. Are you going to be at BWSA this weekend? I plan on going.
