I try keeping everything the same for both sports.Its better for consistancy.The only difference being the mag pouces.I did not like the DOH.When I would draw my thumb would hit it,and did not allow me to get a high grip on the gun.

A guy had a SVI at the range.Got to talking,and he let me look at it.The sight is cut out under the FO,and polished.It seemed brighter to me.Some do not like the halo effect of a bright FO in the sun.The brighter the better for me.I would put a little light in that sucker if I could.Maybe I should have put this in gunsmithing?

Does anyone know if the SVI FO front site will fit the M&P.Not sure of what the dimensions are,or if I can find a rear site match for it.I am interested in that site for my limited build.If I can ever get started on it.Let me know what you know. Thanks,J.B.

I agree with everything CHA-LEE said.Apex does make a foward setting sear,or trigger what ever they are calling it.It is pretty nice.I want one,but it puts me out of production.You can use it in Limited though.The Apex stuff,and the gun Smith will run you about the same price for trigger jobs.It will just depend on what you like more.Dan Burwell does a nice trgger job.There are videos on here of both if you look around a bit.Hope that helps some.Good luck,and have fun!!! Is Apex going to try and get these production legal.I`ve been wanting one since I hered they were coming out with them in Jan.I shoot production,so it`s not legal.I do not have the funds yet for M&P40 5in.Besides I cant find any!Where the hell have they all gone.Ben Stoger has bought all the Beretta Elite II.Is it somthing like that? I think it's purpose is so you don't have to pull the trigger during disassembly which would probably make it a safety device, myself I could care less but I bet if you get an "official" ruling it would be illegal just like disabling the lock on a S&W revolver which has nothing to do with a gun that is in use. I'm also not sure of what you really gained removing it? You don't have to use it, instead of using it just let the slide forward and pull the trigger and pull the slide off like an XD or something else. Greg I took it off while detail cleaning it.Just seemed a little less to clean.Had intentions of putting back on.Just havent gotten around to it.Started thinking about State in a few months and thought I would ask around.Think Ill just put it back on.Its hard to know alot of times what little thing is know big deal to you.Your not gaining an edge,so you just dont think about it.Tell your driving home befor you ever fired a round.

Sorry!The lever on the inside of the gun.

I took my take down lever off my M&P.Makes it a little easer to clean.Dont see this as a safety mechanism.Is the gun legal to run this way.Cant find anything anywere to answer this question.Thought someone on here may have the answer. Thanks,J.B.

Joe4D is right the part of the mag faceing away from me is 1.75in.I will just have to use my double mag poutch just to be safe.Have a couple of months befor state to practice with it. J.B.

So I need to measure the part of the mag that has the cut out in the front.The part facing away from me.If its 2in or more than its legal.As far as the cant.It can be adjusted so as it is vertical.I'll let you know what i measure. J.B.

So that being said I am quessing it does not meet the requiered rules.It meets all the rules except that one being the front face must be coverd.That cut out is the end game to this question enless someone knows better than what Im reading.

This is driving me crazy.Are the Pro mag pouces from Blade Tech the ones with the cut outs in the front of them for better indexing legal for IDPA or not.I thought they were not.Then someone at a USPSA match said they were.Some help the ignorant,and confused.PLEASE!!!!!!!

I shoot 147 FP Oregon Trail Laser-Cast bullets.Through the same hole @ 15 yards.4.2 grains of Silhouette powder.At about 910 FPS.Not ganna change a thing ever.Well maybe not ever,but for a relly long time.My M&P does not like 115s either.Every single gun will shoot the same ammo just a little different.Most of the time. Soooooooooo! A few of us from are local club decided to drive down the freeway to help show support for the town next to us that was opening a new range,and USPSA.Its great another place to shoot.To make a long story longer.JK!!! On one of the stages you had to start with the gun on the table unloaded.There were 2 targets on the left,and 2 on the right.You engage them from BEHIND THE TABLE !!!! then run through a door,and engage the other targets.Well this seemed to be a challenge for my under developed brain.It was one of the best stages I shot!Then I heard the RO my so called FREIND !!!! say 4 procedurals.Well I have been practicing shooting on the move alot,and I have been married for 24 years,so I dont listen so well when being orderd around.It seems I forgot to stand behind the table,and shoot the targets then go forward.Mental note!Go through the stage in your head.Get a mental picture.Then say ready.

So I called S&W today,cause guess what happend after 2000 rounds,and 6 mo.Firing pin broke,and now I have 2 coming.They are on back order.Customer service could not have been better.It broke after yesterdays 300 round match.I dry fired it twice befor cleaning it,and it broke:( J.B.

Got the results.With my S&W M&P in the Glock match. LOL!! In my very first match I took 56th out of 114.5th out of 9 in my division.Next up IDPA classifier! J.B.

Well I shot the Glock Match yesterday,and my first real match as well.I will find out my score later today.It was awsome.Had a bunch of great guys in my squad.Shot with Mike the owner of MGM targets.Hell of a nice guy,and a damn good shot with a baby glock.There was every kind of mechanized shooting apparatus there.Clam shell,three different kinds of spinning steel,and a swinger.All of which I had either never shot at,or have only seen once.Never shot at a swinger befor,and was a little intimidated by it.Got an Alpha and Delta.Pretty proud of that.Im sure it will get me at a later time,but I got it that time.I had no Mikes through the first 6 stages.Then I said somthing about it to my buddy,and got three mikes on the next two stages.Collected myself,and had no more afterwards.Need to work on my 50 yard shots,footwork.Need to be more explosive.Week,and strong hand as well.Shooting on the move.When I did it whent well.Had been working on focusing,and speed which were way improved,but could still be better.I had one bad hicup.I was helping repost some targets,and I was the first shooter for that stage.Did a quick oversite of the stage.Not a walk through,and paid for it!I should have let some other shooters go, or took some time ,and walked through.Since I was helping they would have afforded me this luxury.Won't happen agian!Next up IDPA classifier in two weeks.Will work on a few things for that this week.Then Idaho IDPA state in September.Just a couple days befor the 44th big one.Want to win my class!!!USPSA in the middle of all that. Got some work to do.As of now eveything is going in the right direction.Let you know how it goes!

Sooooooo! I got the results from IDPA club match,and I seem to have fallen back a bit.I already new this was going to be the case do to the fact that my focus wasn't there that day.Started doing some reading on focusing,and mental conditioning.I also earlier this week received my Blade Tech Comp pouches,and DOH.I have been practicing my indexing with them.It was a little rough at firt,and thought it wasn't going to work out but everything is going very well,and coulden't be more pleased with them.I realy like the pouches!!Two more day's tell the match,so I took some vacation days off work to get some practice in,and work on the yard to keep the wife happy.LOL!! JK! She's very cool.As long as I do what she says.LOL!!Ganna fire of a few live rounds.Some dry fire practice,and work on the mental side of things.Oh ya! just a side note.I have gatta get faster.That,and the mental conditioning are the things I have to get going the most.Let you know how that goes. Im a 43 year old man.I have been married for 23 years to the best wife in the world,and have The most beautiful daughter in the world,who will be attending collage later this year.I just started shooting a pistol 6 months ago,and at the same time IDPA,and 2 weeks ago USPSA.I was looking for somthing that could take the place of football and music,so I know the value of practicing it right every time.Ive been on here lurking around,and decided this would be the best place to get advice.Its going to take me a while to get the equipment I need.Do to lack of funds,and daughter going to college thing,but I will get them! I have to tell you,I cant get enough of this sport.I have been doing very well in club matches.I use it mostly to see if what I have been practicing has been working.My plan is to go to Idaho state IDPA this year,and do as well as I can.I also am going to a Glock only match the 1st of May.This Sunday.Now! I shoot an M&P,but they let me in cause I am so good looking! LOL! I just wont qualify to win anything.Let you all know how it goes.When I have vids I will try to post them.I want to be very competitive next year in my division,and class,and plan on working as hard as time,and money allows me to.I am a 43 year old man who found what he should have been doing a little late! How did you do that? When I called the started to tell him what I wanted he cut me off,and said don't believe every thing you read on the fourms,and I was going to have to buy one.In a nut shell thats what he said.What magic words did you use I want them. J.B.

I have looked,and cant seem to find if anyone who makes a firing pin for the M&P.I have the old style pin,and am gitting tierd of waiting for it to break!Want a new one.Will Smith and Wesson just give me a new one or does it have to breake first.Please HELP!!!! Thanks,J.B.

Do they let you shoot that with the stippiling in IDPA

If you have an APEX RAM in your M&P you will fill the reset!Also they are suppose to have there forward setting sear out in may.I hope.Ive seen the video of someone on you tube with it on there M&P,and it looks awsome. J.B.
