  1. Does anyone think these rules will migrate over to USPSA 3gun? It seems like a lot of people put a bunch of money into the new 4x4 caddies or the load 2 systems would be out of luck.
  2. Meh I shoot skeet with the tube on mine. Kind of makes it like an over under.
  3. From mgmtargets.com. Personally any steel shot closer than 100 and probably 150 with a bullet going faster than 3000FPS will take some damage. I've used 3 different brands including MGM and they all look used. Probably not a big deal, just be aware that while steel will last longer than paper it is not a lifetime purchase.
  4. I use a 26" SX3 but I'm just a noob. I got it because it can handle any 12 gauge shell from the 1oz bulk pack to the heavy 3.5" loads. it is stupid accurate with slugs so I am not messing with the barrel. Maybe later if I have a match where the long barrel holds me back I will look at buying a shorter barrel. Right now my biggest problem is forgetting targets and no amount of go fast gear will fix that.
  5. I have a Winchester SX3 and my shotgun choked on the Winchester bulk pack. Runs great on Federal and Remington. If I had to feed it AA for it to work I would have sent it back. If I shot big matches ya throw down for the good stuff. Just make sure the gun will work with it before its too late. ETA you should always check the ammo before loading it. I have had some crimps so loose the bb's were falling out.
  6. OTD= out the door, so sticker plus additional fees ie tax and background check. I was looking at gen 3 vs 4 as well but I am coming from a CZ so I think I will probably go with the 4. Only reason I see for me to get gen 3 is because Glock may stop making them in the future so it would be easier to sell if I decide its not for me.
  7. I've only shot 2 local matches so far, but you was allowed to abandon my CZ75 with the safety on. I ended up emptying the gun and putting the safety on. Now looking into getting a Glock 34.
  8. Used '94 CZ-75, slim aluminum grips, FO front sight stock rear, blade-tech doh holster, blade-tech double mag pouches, wilderness belt. 122 grain hard cast lead, 3.7 bullseye, cci primer mixed brass
  9. The local match is $25 if your not a member of the range and I think it is very reasonable. I have only just started and have shot it twice. Had 5 stages on the 1st 4 on the second. Plenty of props, and targets out to 400 yds. I don't think 50-100 is out of line for a 2 day match. It is a lot of work to setup 10 stages and the crew deserves something. Not only that but if you figure travel costs in the match fees become one of the cheaper parts of your vacation.
  10. I shoot a CZ-75b because I wanted something different and was in a pawn shop one day and found it for $350 w/ 1 mag. I like it but it has had a couple of hickups but that could be ammo related. I was shooting BVAC reloads. Also when shooting lead bullets and bullseye powder you need to clean behind the extractor every thousand rounds or so because it will fill up and cause failure to extract problems. I am sure if I was not such a cheapskate and used a cleaner powder or jacketed rounds it would not be an issue.
