Hello, I got a G35 Gen4 and I've been doing some mods: KKM barrel, ZEV competition spring set, ZEV titanium safety, ZEV race connector, ZEV brass magwell, Dawson Precision .100 Fiber Optic front sight and Dawson Precision black serrated adjustable rear. I was wondering if it will be worth it to change the recoil spring system for a tungsten guide rod and a 14 lbs spring (or 15). I'm shooting major with MG JHP head, n320 and CCI primers and I've shot 500 of those reloads on it with 0 problems. Thank you in advance for sharing your experience. This picture is before I got the magwell, I installed today and liked the feel of it.

Do you have a load for 180 MG jhp at 1.130 with N320 that makes major?

How much powder are you using? I just started using the same bullets and powder and I'm curious what you ended up with? 4.0g of N320 at 1.130" I will probably run 10 over the chrono this weekend. I'm very interested on see your chrono results. Are you shooting fmj, cmj or jhp?

If I was going to load that short, I'd start at about 4.2. you are right! I did some dummie rounds and seems like my XD40 5" can fit up to 1.150" OAL in the magazine and chamber so I'm going to start with 4.2gr at that length. I have CCI small rifle primers that I use for .223 should I try with those? Thank you!

Great info here! I just got a case of 40 MG 180gr jhp and a 4lb jug of n320. I'm going to start with 4.8gr at 1.135 with CCI primer. Anybody has tried this recipe?

I'm loading for a XD40 Tactical. I would like to keep my oal to 1.130 which is the length that I'm using with MG 180 cmj loaded with 4.8gr of win231 and has been totally reliable in 4k+ rounds. Thank you for all the advise given and the one to come.
