  1. 50 plus yrs of various shooting competitions, trust me, everyone competes, division or no divisions, RULES can be applied but one thing that can’t be changed is human nature
  2. The topic is to have one division start in a completely different location than all other divisions, so your suggesting this would this be ok? START POSITION: All divisions EXCEPT OPEN (next month Carry Optics, then PCC the month after): Standing ANYWHERE in shooting box & facing downrange. Wrist below belt. Handgun or PCC is LOADED and HOLSTERED. OPEN DIVISION ONLY: Standing WITH FEET ON FOOTMARKS COMPLETELY OUTSIDE OF THE SHOOTING AREA, facing up range with both hands in pockets with shoe laces untied. Pretty sure that is not the intent, but if so count many out if that circus becomes normalize.

  4. Thanks for this link, couldn’t find anything in rule book but apparently it’s been addressed. From above link: We don’t have a rule that spells out what can and can’t be done in relation to start position between PCC and the handgun divisions, but before PCC we didn’t have Open competitors start at a different start position than Single Stack competitors because we wanted a fair match for everyone. Yes, PCC is different, and it requires a separate start position, but it needs to be as close to the handgun start position as possible.
  5. Start position (wrist above, hands on barrel, etc) yes in agreement but your confusing position with location, a completely different spot on the stage … if what your saying is true, then the same could be applied to all and any division…. Where’s the rule that say you can do this? An open competitor most days so not trying to defend PCC but this seems to be a stretch and not defendable less someone can show a specific rule.
  6. Technically for this stage, there is shooting box all shooters that have to start from anywhere in that box except for PCC, doesn’t seem like thats legal or it hasn’t been addressed. If the start position was directly in front of wall, then the PCC would have to adjust to that position, got that part but if there is rule for the above start and the many variables, not able to locate that.
  7. So does Open, can you use different starts for them vs let say single stack?
  8. Where the foot marks are placed, how far away from the box, distances feet are apart, etc …. Lots of grey here, rules?
  9. If legal, could you not place the foot marks, let say 20 feet away for PCC? Seems like there would be se rues for this ….
  10. Saw this on a stage description at a local match, is this legal? START POSITION: Pistol: Standing in shooting box & facing downrange. Wrist below belt. Handgun is LOADED and HOLSTERED. Pistol Caliber Carbine: Standing WITH FEET ON FOOTMARKS COMPLETELY OUTSIDE OF THE SHOOTING AREA & facing downrange. PCC muzzle oriented downrange. PCC is LOADED & Stock is touching belt.
  11. I changed to a 9mm extractor even though the super extractor seem to work, thus an issue not having worry about while shooting a COF. Gun problems never seem to show themselves until your shooting a match, Murphy’s Law.
  12. Hat’s off to Brian and the Moderator team, great forum to collect information for this sport. I only met Brian once, me new to the uspsa so I was fortunate to squad with him at Homer Johnson’s Texas State Limited Championship in the late 1990’s, he’s a great guy and it was a pleasure to watch him operate. Retirement, ugh, seems I’m busier than ever or maybe it just takes longer to get things done lol.
  13. Pretty sure most won’t give you the green light to use, are these copper plated lead core bullets? Might explain the larger diameter, might try contacting LOS
  14. Leupold’s web site explains your concern; not sure about colored boards ? but all mine, new and old deactivate when not in motion and I personally have never had an activation issue. Leupold’s current specs on MST for the DP Pro: Motion Sensor Technology (MST)Automatically deactivates illumination after 5 minutes of inactivity, yet reactivates instantly as soon as any movement is detected.
  15. Been using DP Pro since they first came out; Open pistols (3), 3G rifle (2), etc. Have several units (8 or 9) and what I've discovered, if you just leave the button alone, don't adjusted it, don't turn it off or on, just put a battery in it, run it and let sleep when not used, they all run perfect with zero issues. Plus the battery life has been great even when left on at high, 6 months plus or more on most units and even longer on my house guns. Let the dot sleep when not used.
  16. New to PRS; feet, wet feet or no feet? Starting out with an Atlas w/ ARCA (used for yote hunting) plus have multiple Harris’s from 3G .... there are Cleats, spikes, quick changes, or should I even bother until I’m in the sport for awhile?
  17. I'm interested in better, currently running a MDT 6BR mag on an ARC bolt
  18. Overall it's a great scope although in my opinion, the intensity of the dot doesn't compare to the Razor plus the two dot thing on the Kahle doesn't make sense for speed shooting. If I was to buy just one scope that cost under 2k for 3gun, it would be a Razor simply because the dot is more effective. I can say this because I've been shooting open and playing the dot game for several years. All that said, the Kahles is a very nice scope, but like other scope companies, they try to do to much in some areas and not enough in others, at least for the average 3 gunner.
  19. Anyone know which Arrendondo speed loader fits a Stoger M3000, the M1 or M2 model? Assume it's the M2 but sales at Arrendondo didn't know.
  20. Why hasn't c-more taken their slideride and made it half that size, it looks doable … they could make a killing on sales at the same price. No state side R&D I guess.
