  1. You are correct, I have found that I can seat and crimp with no problems.
  2. Russ, I think you better stick to buying your bullets from the store for awhile. You need someone to come over and help set up your press, and build up your confidence, before you continue. We would hate to see you get hurt.
  3. Lets take a pole. I would like to try the Tula primers, but buying just a 1000 is not cost effective with the hazmat fee. Anybody ever have a problem with using the large or small pistol primers, or rifle for that matter??
  4. It would be great if they worked in both guns, saves ordering both bullets. Thanks again for your help.
  5. Thanks guys, can you measure the inside diameter of your 9mm mbf die at the top so I can determine if my spring will fit, or if I need to make an adapter. I already honed the die for the old bayou 124gr and it worked 99% of the time, but the new coated 115gr bayou"s wont work at all?? Funny thing is, both bullets measure the same diameter??? I just spoke to my son, he said he fiddled with the adjustments on the die. If he cranked down on the top adjustment to much the b collet might have closed up when it contacted the a collet. Its been awhile since I set up that tool head but if I remember correctly, the bullet used to pass thru the b collet and it doesn't now. Does anyone remember how it works???
  6. I've been using the Hornady bullet feeding setup on my 650 for over a year now. Works fine after you fix the noise issue and add a micro switch. But the Hornady bullet dies drive me crazy, hit and miss. The new coating on the Bayou's wont work at all?? Can the Mr Bullet Feeder dies be modified to work on the Hornady setup, and do they work better?? Hornady has a spring that slips into the top of the die, will it work the same with MBF die??
  7. Question, can i use the Bayou 230 gr. rn ACP bullet for a 45 long colt bullet??
  8. I'm beginning to believe this shortage is B.S. You get 7000 gr of powder from a pound, on average you can get 1200 to 1400 hundred rounds reloaded. So, how come there is no shortage of bullets and primers this year????
  9. I just received 4lb of imr 700x, being that I've never used this powder before, is it ok for 9mm?? Very little info on loads in any of my reloading books, also very inconsistent powder throws on my 650. I'm using Bayou 115 and 125 gr bullets. Anybody have a good safe load for it.
  10. Told you so Marco, you saved a crap load of money.
  11. I just kept playing with the two adjustments until it worked and locked it down. It's tedious i'll admit.
  12. Yes you can cut the spring tube. I had to cut all three of my springs.
  13. Yes Franco, it takes a lot of tinkering to set up. I have zero problems with mine after the learning curve. I had the most problem with the 45acp, asked Hornady to send me new parts A and B and problem was solved.
  14. Isn't it amazing, that the person who lives in the White House, has caused this whole problem....
  15. I see you bit the bullet Franco, and bought the Hornady
  16. With a 8 week backorder on Dillon presses, there is going to be a lot of guns with no warantee
  17. Could be a bad case, that's why I put my loaded bullets back in the polisher. Makes it easer to see a cracked case. But a case can blow anytime, you really never know for sure.
  18. I use N320 on 9mm., and the powder goes all the way to the top on a double charge, easy to tell if double charged.
  19. Just spend the money Franco, you know you want to be talked into it. Besides, the economy can use it.
  20. Question, anyone know if there is an agency to call, and have this indoor ranges ventilation system checked out?
  21. Thanks for the article MarkCO. When I shoot at this one indoor range, I have noticed that sweet taste your talking about. Problem is in California, because of all their stupid gun laws, there are only a few places left to shoot. The closest outdoor range is 45 min's away and expensive to go twice a week with the price of gas. Thanks for all the help guys, this site is the best.
  22. I just had my doctor run my blood for the first time last week. The health department just notified me and said my level is 24mcg/dl. and should be around 2mcg/dl. Anyone else this high? I'm wondering if its that high because I shoot indoors twice a week, or because I reload in my garage. Never would have thought that reloading plated bullets would be that bad for our health. Any input would be helpfull.
  23. Mark, for under $10 bucks for a micro switch and remenants from a stero shop, i fixed my problem. I do hope you use earplugs under your helmet, i do it makes a big difference.
