  1. STI has a forged upper - lower and HERA has CNC machined, just like JP-15 vs. JP CTR-02. HERA looks very good, I like the design, but make sure you get one with adj gas block, good trigger and comp etc.
  2. STI makes a decent rifle. But for standard please try to get something like a 20". I recommend getting an 18" to get the rifle length gas system for AR-15, regardless of class. Check the Standard rifles on this page, Finland are in EU: http://www.asejaosa...._id=71&Itemid=1 These are some of the best configurations.
  3. Because I like HERA. OA are fine too, but get the M1 not the M4 or M5 as they require quite a lot of remake to work well for IPSC. I'm sure the DPMS is a fine AR-15, but can you get hold of it?
  4. JP are not the cheapest anywhere on the planet...
  5. You can buy JP here http://www.gprifle.se/ I would prefer HERA over OA and Schmeisser. Also check out DAR http://www.dar-germany.com/
  6. I have a KKM but I Think the stock barrel is enoug, I just wanted the threads for compensator. Accuarcy isn't the issue, the trigger is.
  7. Now using a IGB spring and major ammo. New spring won't work with Magtech 9B. Had some feeding issues with the new ammo, not sure why could be the Magazine but went for stock Glock Magazine with +2 which seems to solve the problem, however causing unneccecary reloads on some stations. Managed 60+ % anyway among 169 shooters totally. With regards to how little I have trained perhaps I should be quite happy.
  8. First IPSC competition for 2013, things are SLOWLY starting to melt but I wish Global Warmning started proving itself... Shooting major 139 grains bullet 165 Factor, this was my favourite station. The slider is a bonus target.
  9. Thanks, but it adds function I think, and wouldn't mind one on my other JP. It's a Phase 5 Tactical Extended Bolt Release.
  10. Good looking rifle. And a good joke Here's mine. 14.5" with pinned comp for 16" OAL. As accurate as the JP 18", but less velocity of course. Might not reach IPSC factor with light bullets I guess, but never tried.
  11. C-More railway is nice. I have tried the OKO as well. Like the Deltapoint. Haven't decided.
  12. Thanks. It was ordered like this by JP Rifles, so in the US. But...please...before you call JP with your custom paint order I understand they are now only doing "black rifles" again. Thanks... My next rifle will be UP-15 I just thought that if there were source for Duracoat in Sweden... Try Norway http://www.durano.no/
  13. Do you/he have any pictures to share? It was a white DPMS that got me into looking at white, then I noticed the JP in Winter Twig the rest is history.
  14. Thanks. It was ordered like this by JP Rifles, so in the US. But...please...before you call JP with your custom paint order I understand they are now only doing "black rifles" again.
  15. Star Wars Sorry I don't know the weight of either, and it's not listed. Not too bad IMO. For me it's just the best there is around, perhaps a bit more than I need but it's the same with the JP I guess. http://www.spuhr.com/ http://spuhrwebbshop...item_id=SP-4602 http://spuhrwebbshop...&item_id=A-0009 (interface for Deltapoint) Looks like Brownells have started stocking them http://www.brownells...-prod54837.aspx
  16. I ordered this a while ago and wanted to share a different kind of "black rifle". Decided to get a white AR, with some digital camo. http://www.houtsente...irageflage.html It's a JP Rifles 14.5" with a pinned comp for 16" OAL, Magpul UBR and a Phase 5 Tactical Extended Bolt Release. Here's how I got her. Unfortunately I got a handguard shorter than ordered, so I had to wait for a new one getting painted. This is now, with the longer handguard. I have a Swarovski Z6i 1-6x LD-I with the old Spuhr mount.
  17. I use a PolyChoke + Comp on my Molot. Great!
  18. You're hopefully going to like these pictures: http://www.3gun.se/showthread.php/190-Swarovski-Z6i-1-6x-hårkors-LD-I?highlight=swarovski Bonus: Gen 1 vs Gen 2 http://www.3gun.se/showthread.php/236-Swarovski-Z6i-1-6x24-2-nd-Generation-Kikarsikte?highlight=swarovski
  19. This is the 1st time I tried this, had to rent it, shooting into a 100 or 200 meter long tunnel. Excellent for sighting in. We also have electronic scoring at 300 meter outdoors, with roof. That's pretty nice. Chose a solution that suits you, not a solution you hvae to suit yourself around. The C More solution above is not to my liking. I prefer the Aimpoint (can handle more damage, but a bit of tube feeling) or a Deltapoint (more open, more fragible).
  20. Latest configuration. And 26 mm @ 100 m with S&B bulk. Could have been better.
  21. The mount I use. http://www.spuhr.com/Our%20models.html http://www.spuhr.com/ISMS.html Check Brownells, they should have them now. I think the mount is so cool, made me want to own a gun so I could own the mount Some more - C More Swarovskis Z6i (1.7-10x) with C More. This configuration won the swedish nationals, could have to do with the shooter too... Yes, the stock is tilted. Not my style, but works for him. Other based on the same principle Sweden, the land of JPs.
  22. Because people without it always rest the barrel instead of the hg on the barricade = miss. Plus I can get my support hand further out.
