  1. Thanks for rooling over my profile page.

I use the Bedell Stippled STI Grips on my ride.

Having beaten the crap out of my joints over the years I now do Yoga 3 times a week....It helps that Trish Straus ( she's no longer a blonde..sorry)runs the place....and she likes guns too.

    Once more thanks

    Ciao.

  2. OK then......let STI get on the ball and give us the New and Improved Gen 2 Aluminum Grip!!!! I'll gladly buy one and put it on my .40 Eagle! Ciao.
  3. I think that SV should take a page from the Brownells AR builder program. Just point and click to the options that you want and you see it put together so you know what you are looking at. My two cents. Ciao.
  4. I love the SV product line...the problem is....they don't have a "base gun". My advice is if possible "Try before you Buy". Ciao.
  5. Ok...but here's the rub. How long can STI afford to keep sending "free" replacement grips...? There obliviously is a problem...I'm sorry at $ 500 a copy up here in Toronto the grip should last for years..if not a lifetime of shooting. Ciao.
  6. If money is no object...then go to STI's Custom Shop. Get the STI you want......or go the SV rouute. However be aware that the SV will give you the exact gun of your dreams....without mags. STI will give you the gun that maynot be in your dreams..but it will be pretty damn close....and you still can aford mags for the gun. Up here in Toronto a plane jane Edge or Eagle with 6-8 magazines will set you back around $3500.00 to start. IPSC demands such reliability and performance parameters on the gun (and shooter)that the next expense you will have will be gunsmithing services...to get the ST up to snuff. Ciao.
  7. I have the STI Eagle in .40. Now the gun will feed factory lenght ammo all day and night...but I reload my ammo at 1.205" OAL. As most of the members of this forum who use the same gun (STI Edge or Eagle)will tell you these guns all needed some work as to get "match ready". My gun has only the Eagle Slide, Barrel and Frame as factory...thought they too have been "fixed"...but prety well eveything ells on this gun is from SVI, DAA and EGW. So back to the begining of this forum..should you buy an STI Eagel in.40...my answer is Yes....but it will need to be worked on as to work for you and your loads. The gun works amazing....but I had to put another 1K into it to get there. Ciao.
  8. The only way to confirm if a grip dimensions are good for you...you are going to have to try before you buy. Given that the STI Metal grips are having issues as noted on this forum...and let' face it the SVI's are amazing....but priced acordingly. Put the word out on your clubs bulletin board and see itf you get any takers. Ciao.
  9. Well, having just joined this forum this morning......here's my two cents. I have the STI Eagle in .40. It's been configured with the full length dust cover and the Bedell Heavy stipple grips.
