Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the shot sensitivity on the PACT MKIV XP? Took it out to the range today and it had difficulty registering/recognizing shots. Any help is appreciated.
  2. Ok....put more rounds through it. Same problem. Called STI and they said to adjust extractor (less tension). Did that. Same problem. Started to download the magazines and discovered the gun works fine when loaded to 3 or 4 rounds. Anything more and it chokes. Magazine spring? Follower?
  3. I believe STI lists the spring weight at 14. I will purchase some of the lesser weight springs you suggested. It would be nice if this thing ran as well as advertised.
  4. Thanks. I am not running the STI Recoilmaster. Just your standard vanilla one piece guide rod. I am going to change to heavier spring and see what the results are.
  5. Reduced the tension on the extractor. Still has the same problem. I am going to change to heavier recoil spring and see what that does. Try to put some rounds through it to break it in well. I am interested in knowing why there is an emphasis on not letting the slide go forward (slam) on an empty chamber. Many thanks.
  6. Just got a new STI Eagle 5.0 in 40S&W. Gun is beautiful. Went to the range and attempted to put some rounds through it. Ammo is Atlanta Arms Major and Minor loads in 40. Serious feed problems from the start. Round gets hung up about a 1/4 way into chamber. Sometimes it goes further and I had to push on the rear of the slide to move it into battery. 8 out of 10 rounds with the minor, and 4 out of ten with the Major. Is this a magazine problem? Any help is appreciated.
  7. Good to go! Thanks to all of you. I am on the right track now.
  8. Looking for a good load for a new STI Eagle 5.0 in .40 S&W. I plan on using MG 180 grain, but am interested in hearing thoughts on heavier bullet. Looking for soft feel and reliable functioning. Currently using VV320 with 147g MG out of a S&W M&P Pro. Great results. A good recipe would be appreciated.
