G34 CORDY

Iam going back to irons after using red fiber. I have been ordering guns with the red fiber but after shooting a friends 1911 with irons I realize Iam more accurate with irons and the fiber is distracting me by looking at the fiber instead of the top of the sight post.

I would get a good set of sights for sure and a steel guide rod with 13lb recoil spring not that it is needed but I prefer it. I love mine and if its your first G34 congrats it's a great gun.

I think Iam just going to buy a serrated black front sight from the Custom Shop.

Looks promising. Does it completely turn the fiber black and it says it can be removed? How long does it last? Thanks for the link.

I have used nothing but Jessup skateboard tape and it works great, I use it on all of my guns. It has been on my CZ Shadow over 3 years now and it still provides good grip in the hand.

11lb recoil spring is what I use.

Yeah I just tried a marker and didn't work so well now I will try some touch up paint.

The only problem I see with that is seeing daylight through the hole.

After shooting guns with a black front going back to fiber is alittle distracting and I focus more on the fiber than anything else. Also it's alot easier for me to hit steel with a black front.

I will give the sharpie idea a try thanks. I think right now Iam liking the black front sight better.

I know this is personal preference but who has this combo? When I get a limited gun built Iam on the fence about the steel grip which is very comfortable compared to the polymer grip but is it extremely heavy? I don't mind heavy guns but I don't know anyone with this setup to try it out.

Iam going to use my CZ Shadow Custom for Limited Minor until I can get a Custom Limited gun built, I have a fiber red front sight and want to start using a black front but if I don't have to change out the sight that would be great. Can I use a marker to black it out or something else?

I might tell him to buy a 6inch so I can try it out lol.

I hear that from a lot of people but seem to see alot of FLDC 5inch guns at the matches.

He is working on that part of the game but he don't have a gun so he needs to buy one, Iam letting him use one of my Glocks just so he can shoot right now.

I have a buddy wanting to shoot USPSA Limited so his recoil control isn't the best (right now) so Iam trying to help him decide on a FLDC Edge type or a 6inch gun. I haven't shot a 6inch Limited Gun so Iam not much help in that department. I do notice a lot of 5inch FLDC Bull Barrel guns at the matches even with the GM's. Is a 6inch gun softer and easier to shoot or a edge type gun?

A rimfire division would be great for young shooters or someone on a budget.

It all depends on which one you shoot better for example with me I started with a G34 and liked it then went to a CZ Shadow Custom and a GM friend of mine asked why I was shooting so slow lol. I just wasn't use to the CZ yet and was better with the Glock because I had more time behind it but now I feel more confident behind the CZ. He also let me shoot his Brazos STI .40 and I was ringing steel a lot faster than both of my guns so for me the 1911/2011 I guess you could say Iam better with but put time behind a gun you like and practice that will make more of a difference than the platform to some. Vogel shoots a Glock better than a lot of guys can with race guns because he has time behind it.

Iam very happy with my Gen3 and see no reason to get a gen4 unless the Gen4 feels so much better in your hand.

On Dawson's website they say you might have to trim the followers to get full capacity anyone have to do that or have they worked out without modification.

Looking for some mag extensions for my G35 for limited until I can get a Custom 2011 build. Which ones do you have and is one better than the other?
