Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Ok, good to know. When I started shooting, I got 2 of the Midway bags, one Lg one Med and have used them interchangeably dependent on how much crap I wanted to lug. Maybe I've been lucky with materials and by "rotating" bags. Will keep my eyes open for the SC bag when replacement time comes up. Thanks.
  2. Buddy of mine got the baseline model and couldn't choke it at all. Been running smooth, no problems at all. Probably has just under 1k rounds so no real long term info. But it definitely has my eye on the Tactical version. Buds seems to have the best deal on them...just under 5 bills.
  3. Am I just a cheap sucker or am I really showing as a NEWB? I really love my range bags from ol Larry Potterfield at Midway USA...very well priced too. Is the Shooters Connection bag that much better (all I can see is the liner being different).
  4. Anyone use this stuff? Heard about it on the Gun Dudes Podcast. Found it on Crusader Weaponry website. I've been using regular cleaning products: Hoppes, Gun Scrubber, etc then using Rem Oil. I have used some CLP since buying my AR. Gracias,
  5. Thanks! Had read some great reviews on the Sevigny. Went to Dawson website, but it only lists Sevigny in the Glock category. Am I just pulling a DA and missing something? Also great heads up on the .215 front sight...that'll save me some time and money!
  6. Anyone use one of the 22 LR Conversion Kits on your Glock. Reading about the Advantage Arms version, and it looks like it has pretty good reviews in general, with a few folks having issues with certain ammo. As I own the Sig Mosquito, I fully understand the ammo preference some guns have. Any mileage reports on this conversion kit? As always thanks in advance, Ian
  7. I know a lot depends on personal preference, but what are the most common/favorite upgraded sights for the G34? I keep reading that Green is the best color wavelength picked up by the human eye. Don't know how accurate that is, but if I don't find anything to the contrary, I'll be looking at that color variant. Thanks for opinions in advance...
  8. NE of Shreveport also...I'm in Benton. Have been driving down to Alec for tourneys at the Rapides Sheriff's Range with Cenla Sport Shooters. Too bad for the rain down there today...they cancelled today's shoot. Looking at joining Long Rang Alley...getting tired of shooting at the Bodcau Range (no real ability to practice like I want and need to).
  9. Hey y'all, I'm a newish competitive shooter (recently shot a couple of Pistol Matches and a 3 Gun Match) located in Northern LA. I've got a wife and 4 kids I'm trying to keep involved in shooting (much harder with the 2 teens). I'm a huge Saints Fan (the bounty scandal really sucked!) and a big LSU Fan (isn't everyone!?!). I have decided to jump in whole hog with a new Glock 34, BladeTech and Blackhawk accessories, and I'm attending a Manny Bragg 2.5 day course next month. I've been reading a lot and watching a lot of YouTube. I've got Enos, Seeklander, and Anderson books on order. My work schedule is very chaotic but I'm doing some dry fire practice around once a week and shooting shooting a few times a month - very disappointed at this level of activity and I'm fine tuning time management and schedule to allow dry fire at least 2 times per week and range time once a week. Also going to jump on the reloading bandwagon with an eye on Dillion equipment. I tend to be all in or nothing. Looking forward to learning a bunch from y'all and hopefully giving back any pearls I learn on my path to really learning how to shoot (lifelong process I'm sure). So thanks in advance and damn glad to meet ya!
