  1. Did that with Windows XP and it made the screen go black and now everything looks stretched. I restarted it but it's still goofy, any ideas on how to undo this? Thanks
  2. I talked to Taran about making some in Brass, also 170's, and I think it will happen just not sure when. We should have our stock of TTI extensions in soon.
  3. This post being in the M&P forum I figured he wanted them for an M&P.....
  4. I run CCI Standard with a lighter recoil spring (from the Wolff tuning kit we sell), clean and oiled and never had a problem. Numerous SC matches along with a little practice and no issues.
  5. The problem we have is not actually having the magwells in stock, it's the frame tool from S&W that is the problem. Right now they don't have any and they've been on backorder forever. We modify the frame tool to use as the attaching point for the magwell and this issue has pushed the development of a new system to the top of the list. I don't like being dependent on someone else's product like this but at the time it was all we had. I have it almost worked out and I'm testing prototypes right now. I've never been in love with the current attachment but it's all I could come up with that didn't permanently modify the frame so the new one will have a part that replaces the factory frame tool and will serve as the attaching point. In the meantime, if you have a frame tool and want to send it to us I can attempt to modify it to work with the magwell and get one on the way to you. I say attempt because S&W had a batch of frame tools that wouldn't work because the metal rod was too far up in the plastic and wouldn't allow a drill to go straight through. BUT, if your frame tool is one of those we don't have another one to replace it with. You can still use the modified frame tool to hold the grip in place but the part you grasp with your fingers will be shorter. There is no way to determine if yours will work before cutting it.
  6. Any chance we could talk you into a trip to Kaliforny for the weekend???
  7. These springs are in stock, if you saw them back ordered please let me know so I can correct it. Thanks
  8. I don't know about the barrel od but the width of the breech face won't allow it, the 40 is wider than the 9.
  9. That would probably be a surprise to the folks at S&W.....
  10. Nah, I'll tell her. Thanks
  11. I've been thinking about making another batch as we've had a few requests, just not enough demand right now. Email Lacey with your request and I'll ask her to start a list.
  12. My source at Federal stated Small Pistol Magnum primers are Small Rifle primers in a different box.
  13. Looks good. Did you use the Carver cut barrel or is that a standard threaded barrel? If you're looking for a major load try a 124 gr bullet over 7.8 grs of HS-6 with a standard small rifle primer. This is a little under what makes major in the 9L Open gun I have here that belongs to Olhasso but you can work up to major. He shot the Nationals with this one and says it run flawless. He also likes Auto Comp powder better than the HS-6 but I don't remember the load, I think he said it tracks better with the Auto Comp. 9 major loads are very high pressure and you'll need the small rifle primer to withstand the pressure. Don't use small rifle primers with regular loads.
  14. How does the damn thing go back in???? I finally got around to changing the mag release button and this spring has me stumped, evidently I didn't look at it close enough before I ripped into it. Anybody got a picture of one that is properly installed? Thanks
  15. You need to replace the sear block with the non manual safety version and also get the two frame plugs to fill the holes, you should be able to sell your sear block and safety lever for enough to cover the new parts. Or find someone to swap with. This is exactly what the factory does so it would be the same as buying an M&P without the manual safety so there would be nothing dishonest about it. We are out of the sear blocks right now and I'm not sure the factory has any in stock but it may be worth a phone call, I think we have the frame plugs but I'll have to check. Be sure you get the new version of the sear block with the large sear spring.
  16. I don't know how close it is but several of us are staying at the Lake Wales Hampton Inn, 863-734-3000. $109 and I don't remember if you have to mention the match or not.
  17. Thanks, from looking at it that's what I thought but I was hoping not.
  18. I just picked up a pretty new (maybe 2 years old) 6" Witness Hunter 10mm and I want to remove the factory extended mag release and install a standard one, any info on how to do this. Google didn't bring up anything that helped. Thanks
  19. If anybody has a way to contact Charles other than the email address he has listed above please pm me. Thanks
  20. Charles, if you don't have an email from me please send me a pm. Thanks, Kenny
  21. Apparently the problem hasn't been eliminated but we haven't seen near the number of broken strikers after the latest upgrade that we had seen before.
  22. The latest striker upgrade seems to have corrected that.
  23. If you don't have plate activated stop timers it's always been backed up to the first hit on the stop plate so the scorekeeper would need to watch the plates. Usually on the stop plate the s/k will yell hit or something to let the shooter know the stop plate was hit. At the Steel Nationals (2010? 2011?) they started backing up the timer for only one shot. Before that you could hammer the stop plate a dozen times and you would get the time at the first hit, IF the RO could determine which one was the first hit. Now if you shoot the stop plate a dozen times with a hit every time you only get backed up one shot meaning you'll get credit for 11 hits on the stop plate. Derek said they started doing this because some shooters would get frustrated and hammer the stop plate and then it would take several minutes to figure out the time which wasted a lot of time and slowed down the match. I just looked at the latest SC rulebook and this is now the official procedure, D.3.1. SC Rules
  24. So I just need a router? Got no WiFi here.... We will need to access the files on the main pc, problem? We would need to do this as well, will we need to connect a second printer to the second pc? Thanks for the help.
  25. Never tried a network before but now we need to. The office computer is a laptop running 64 bit Vista and the second computer is getting a new hard drive, I've been told Windows 7 is the easiest to network with and is better than Vista so I'm thinking that's the way for us to go. I hate Vista. Here's the questions: How difficult is it to set up a network? Wired or wireless? Can we do it with a 64 bit PC and a 32 bit PC or should I install the 64 bit version on the 2nd PC? Can that even be done? We use a tethered cell phone for internet, once we get this running can we have PC 1 tethered and have internet access with PC 2 or will it need a separate connection?
